Darksiders 2 Is A U.S. Wii U Launch Title

It seems the U.S. are getting  preferred treatment with THQ confirming Darksiders 2 as a Wii U launch title, whilst Europe will be getting Darksiders 2 on the Wii U within the launch window. No word on a release for it on the Wii U in Japan as of yet.

The Wii U version of Darksiders 2 will come with the first DLC, Argul’s Tomb, on disc, plus all the pre-order bonuses from other editions. This means an extra 5 hours (approximately) of gameplay and new legendary armor and weapons at your disposal right out of the box.

Of course Darksiders 2 will also be utilising the Wii U Gamepad in order to bring up your map, inventory, objectives and give you quick access to Death’s special abilities all via the touch screen. The gyro functionality of the Gamepad will also allow for enemy evasion, object manipulation and character steering during swimming and riding sequences.

Bayonetta 2 Trailer Wii U

For those of us that do not want their pants to stop erupting from the announcement of Bayonetta 2 coming to the Wii U as an exclusive, or that Bayonetta is even existing, we should definitely be checking out this latest trailer for the game. And by latest trailer, I mean the only trailer in existence so far.

From what we can tell from the trailer, it looks like two characters will be dueling over something. It is also apparent that the recognisable guns from the first game have had a colour change. This could mean that they are completely new weapons, or maybe they’re new weapons being wielded by a new character.

What do you think of the trailer? Have any theories? Let us know in the comment section below.

Wonderful 101 Trailer

Nintendo have released a trailer for the strategic action game, Wonderful 101. The trailer which was first shown at their North American Nintendo Direct conference revealed the official title of the game which is of course Wonderful 101 as well as explaining the reasoning behind the title.

The game itself looks brilliant and is said to be a spiritual successor to Viewtiful Joe with some elements of Pikmin thrown into the mix. You can check out the Wonderful 101 trailer below. Be sure to let us know what you think of the innovative Wii U title from Platinum Games in the comments section.

All of Wii’s digital library confirmed for Wii U Transfer

In a surprising announcement Nintendo confirmed that 100% of the Wii’s digital library is able to be transferred to the Wii U console. This is pretty significant news as Nintendo’s major competitors can not provide the same service, for example the PS Vita can not recieve all of the PSP’s digital content via transfer.

Nintendo announced that the Wii U will be completely backwards compatible in terms of digital content, with transfer of all content confirmed. Unfortunately the Wii U can not play Gamecube games, which leads us to believe that Nintendo plans on releasing Gamecube games digitally on the Virtual Console.

What do you think of this news? Will you transfer your digital content to the Wii U? Let us know in the comments section below.

Monster Hunter Tri-G HD Bundled With Wii-U In Japan

Monster Hunter fans will be self-pleasing at this announcement. Monster Hunter Tri-G will be getting a HD rebuild for the Wii-U console and will be released as a launch bundle in Japan. At the moment it is unclear whether or not this version of the game will be making it this way, however, when you consider it’s a Capcom game and the series’ popularity is increasing over here – it is apparent that it will probably will be.

The title has also been announced to have online play out of the box. Did we mention that it was bundled with a Wii-U? Talk about getting people addicted out of the box, ha ha ha.

Who here is excited for this announcement? Do we have any Monster Hunter fans in the audience?
