Pocket Gods moving into Barnes and Noble

Bolt Creative, developers of the cute and wacky Pocket Gods characters are proud to announce their migration into Barnes and Noble retail and online stores. “Pocket God is here to stay, and partnering with Barnes & Noble is a great way for us to ensure that our beloved Pygmies cross over successfully into the real world the same way they have in the digital space,” said Pocket God co-creator and Bolt Creative CEO Dave Castelnuovo.

The stores will carry 2 differing figurines, one being a 5” Collectors figure available in 4 different styles (Happy, Warrior, Zombie and Moon), as well as a range of 16 mystery 2.5” blind box figures where you wont know which Pocket God you have until you open it. Of course like any collectible series there will be rare characters that will more sought after by fans adding to the excitement and mystery. The ranges of figurines are all produced by the Seattle based company Funko and are made of durable vinyl.

WWE Games gets up close and personal with Paul Heyman

Earlier this week WWE Games posted an interview with the legendary mad genius behind ECW and current Voice of the Voice of the Voiceless, Paul Heyman. Over the course of the interview, Heyman spoke about ECW’s influences on the “Attitude Era,” his role as the “Creative Rabbi” of WWE ’13, his incomparable eye for talent and more.

Paranormal Activity 4 Winners and Wusses

Paranormal Activity 4’s competition to see which cities in the world wanted Paranormal Activity 4 the most closed with Lima, Peru ranked as the number 1 country in the world to want the horror film. The competition ran through the PA facebook and racked up a total of a quarter of a million votes from around the world.

The top 25 locations that were voted for through the Facebook page and that earned the free screening of the fourth installment of the Paranormal Activity franchise are:

Mario Golf Swings onto the eShop

This week’s Nintendo downloads are bringing Mario back in all of his Game Boy golfing glory. The Game Boy Color classic Mario Golf has been added to the eShop at $4.99, which all of you can now purchase with your digital fundage.

Next up comes another offbeat puzzler by the name of Nurikabe by Nikoli for $4.99, a hoppy little platformer – Crazy Kangaroo, which is priced at $3.99, and the strategic Robot Rescue 2 for the DSiWare at just $1.99. Lord of the Rings fans can also get their fix this week, as LEGO Lord of the Rings now has a demo up, so everyone can try out what is sure to be another charming LEGO romp.

For Wii owners, The Last Blade 2 has released as well, which is a port of an arcade fighter that anime and general fans of the genre are sure to love for 900 Nintendo spacebucks.

The Wii U Will be at Armageddon

Those of you down under who missed out on the Wii U at EB Expo are in luck, as Nintendo are bringing the new platform to Armageddon in New Zealand. Of course the system itself will be launching in the region on November 30th, but this event will let fans of Ninty try the new console a month in advance.

This event will take place at Armageddon in Auckland, October 19th – 22nd, where New Super Mario Bros. U and Nintendo Land will both be on full display. Not too shabby if you’re in the area, and those are attending are sure to get the full treatment due to all of the other festivities involved.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown In Stores Now

Today marks the release of the majorly anticipated XCOM: Enemy Unknown tactical strategy game from Firaxis and published by 2k Games.  This is a game that nearly everybody in the gaming media has been amticipating, including us here at Capsule Computers. You can expect a review from us in a few weeks.

On the games launch, 2k had this to say –

XCOM: Enemy Unknown revives the XCOM franchise, staying true to what fans loved in the original game while evolving and growing the experience to appeal to all gamers,” said Sarah Anderson, senior vice president of marketing for 2K. “Combining intense action and strategy, XCOM: Enemy Unknown is an experience unlike any other on the market, and one that no gamer will want to miss.”

For players that purchase the game within the launch window, and for all pre-orderers, there will be access to the limited edition Elite Soldier pack which will grant players a small selection of in-game bonus items. These are quoted below –

  • Classic X-COM soldier: Players will instantly receive a new recruit in their barracks inspired by the original X-COM: UFO Defense. The iconic soldier with the blonde, flattop hairstyle will return fully modernized.
  • Soldier Deco packs: Players can customize their soldier with several aesthetic upgrades to armor suits, including the new Hyperion and Reaper soldier armor kits.
  • Complete color customization: A variety of colors and tints for all armor sets in the game allow players complete control to customize their squad’s look.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown is out now at participating retailers across the country. The game appears on the Windows PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 platforms. Medal of Honor invades Linkin Park’s Castle of Glass Music Video


We have known for quite some while now that Linkin Park and Medal of Honor had partnered up. Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park himself was working on the game’s soundtrack and we have known for quite some time now that their hit song ‘Castle of Glass’ would be featured in the game.

Well now we have the official music video of ‘Castle of Glass’ available to view which features some high octane action courtesy of Medal of Honor: Warfighter. You can check out the music video below.

Crysis 3 Multiplayer Video


EA Games Australia have released a new trailer for the third instalment of the popular Crysis series which is aptly titled Crysis 3. The newest trailer for Crysis 3 shows off and details the games multiplayer aspects.

You can check out the Crysis 3 multiplayer trailer below which features game producer Mike Read detailing the gameplay of Crysis 3’s multiplayer component including the interesting new multiplayer modes; Hunter Mode, Crash Site and NY Feed. It’s all very exciting if your a Crysis fan.
