Black Ops II’s Zombies Mode Revealed!

Well, after a tease and a lot of waiting, Treyarch and Activision have finally released the full reveal trailer for the much anticipated zombies mode for Black Ops II. Yes, there are a ton of explosions and zombies running about this war torn battlefield, and as you can see in the clip, it looks like the wait was worth it due to the mass amount of maps and content included this time around.

Indeed there will be nowhere to hide this time around, and you can check out the shiny new trailer down below, and get ready as Call of Duty Black Ops II launches on November 13th.

Mass Effect Trilogy Hits Stores this November

If you have been dying to play Mass Effect 1 but have a PS3, you are in luck as Bioware have announced an official trilogy for the three titles, which will be out for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on November 8th (AU) and November 6th for the states.

Of course the original three Mass Effect titles are included, which should equal up to over a hundred hours of gameplay in all. Not a bad compilation at all, and even at full retail value, fans are sure to want to snag up this trio on a disk come November. No word on a Wii U release yet, but with Mass Effect 3 launching with the console, I don’t see that news being announced anytime soon.

Phantom Breaker cancelled according to Gamestop

There is some unfortunate news for those who have been following 7sixty’s surprise localization of Phantom Breaker. A number of people who have pre-ordered the game from Gamestop are reporting that they have received calls from their store saying that the “the vendor has cancelled Phantom Breaker.”

After inquiring at the local Gamestop we were informed that the store was told by corporate that they were to call anyone who pre-ordered the game and deliver them the news. 7sixty has had a number of issues with Phantom Breaker over the past six months, as the game has been delayed multiple times and no current release date has been set for many months after it missed it’s June release date.

We have reached out to 7sixty for comment about these calls, but for now you can check out our preview of the game and hope that this may just be a false alarm.

Joe Danger 2 hits the PSN with 10 hours of additional content

A couple of weeks ago Joe Danger 2: The Movie hit the XBLA and received some rather high scores amongst reviewers, including our own review which gave the title a near perfect score. Well at the time, the game was an Xbox Live Arcade exclusive but it is also coming to the PlayStation 3 with what Hello Games is saying is “10 hours of extra content.”

This is rather significant considering the fact that Hello Games has also stated that they have tweaked the vehicles for use in the PS3 version of the game. No details have been revealed about what will be added into the PS3 version of the game, but it seems that those who may have jumped in early on the XBLA version will find themselves slightly disappointed.

NBA 2K13 Controls Trailer

Players excited for 2K Sports’ NBA 2K13 should be checking out the new trailer they have just released for the game before they make a fool of themselves on the court.  For this year’s NBA, 2K Sports has revamped the controls for the vast majority of everything in the game.  Want to dribble behind the back?  Hesitate to fake out a defender?  Stutter Step?  They all have specific controls to create the moves.

So, players wanting to know exactly what does what going in should check out the trailer embedded below and get to learning the moves.  Better yet those looking to actual practice the new controls can do so by checking out the demo now available on Xbox Live and coming soon to PSN.

The demo lets players not only relive the one five minute quarter of the NBA Finals of last season as either the Oklahoma City Thunder or Miami Heat, but also check out an online quick match.  Xbox users can even check out the Kinect functionality that lets players use the voice recognition to call out plays and strategies.

NBA 2K13 is set to release on October 2nd in North America and October 5th in Australia and New Zealand for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PSP, Wii, and PC.  As well as the Wii U after it has been released.

Total War: Rome II Gameplay Video Released

Triarii forward!!!!

Creative Assembly have just released the first gameplay footage for their upcoming strategy behemoth Total War: Rome II the sequel to the widely acclaimed Rome: Total War. In the video we see the Roman faction Scipio besieging the Carthaginian city of… well Carthage. All the standard fare are shown, siege towers, war elephants, archers, principes and a new edition to the franchise ships. In the original Rome: Total War ship battles merely had to be auto-resolved, but in line with Shogun Total War II it appears that both land and ship battles will occur at the same time. The graphics of course look fantastic and look sure to set new standards for the franchise series if not the genre itself.

Be sure to check back in the future for more Total War: Rome II news as we gets closer to its future release date, and of course be sure to check out the video below if you haven’t already.

Where the Trail Ends Out Now

0

Following on from a live streamed world premiere this week, freeride mountain bike movie Where The Trail Ends has just been released to the masses on Blu Ray, DVD and for download via iTunes. The movie follows a select group of some of the world’s top freeriders as they take on some of the more extreme environments that the planet has to offer.

Marking the release of the movie is a new clip featuring Darren Berrecloth, one of the riders featured in the film. In the clip below Berrecloth narrates his own state of mind during a 360 spin in unknown territory. The slow motion action, combined with his concern about the distance to hospitals, make for a rather exciting combination.

The Blu Ray version of the film is fully mastered in 7.1 surround sound using Dolby True HD, definitely ready to go on a home cinema system. Die hards can also try and get their hands on one of only three thousand copies of the limited edition release of the film, which comes complete with a making of journal, a copy of the film on all three formats, and a few surprises to boot.
