Oversee a Bustling Kingdom in ‘The King is Watching,’ Coming to Consoles July 29

New maps, enemy races, modifiers arriving on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox

SEATTLE, WA – July 14, 2026 – The King is Watching, the award-nominated roguelite kingdom builder with more than 600,000 units sold from developer Hypnohead and publisher tinyBuild, expands its reign to consoles, benevolently supervising subjects on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch starting Wednesday, July 29.

Take up the crown of the “motivational monarch,” whose very gaze inspires subjects to get things done. Turn thy stare toward the wheat fields to inspire the peasants to sow and reap. Monitor production chains from atop the castle, but remember that whenever the lord isn’t looking, the people return to their natural state: indolent and lazy!

Complete challenges to unlock new kings, each with their own distinct governing style. As King Leo the Wise, grant new building blueprints to your most loyal and dedicated subjects. The wizard King Spellus generates crystals that power arcane spells, and the dreadful King Alucard can bring fallen soldiers back to the battlefield as undead warriors.

Outwit and outwork a new villainous boss on each run, ranging from goblin warlords to mighty dragons. Learn each one’s particular set of abilities and units, adapting strategies according to the available blueprints, spells, and artifacts distinct to each run. Master each King’s style, then add Threat Levels to increase the dangers posed by enemies, requiring new strategies and split-second decision-making.

The King is Watching has had a wonderful reception on PC, but don’t get too comfortable, console players: we’ve got our eye on you too,” said Semyon Itmaniuk, Head of the Hypnohead Studio. “Whether you’re at home on Xbox, PlayStation, or Switch… the King will be watching!”

The King is Watching launches on Xbox X|S, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch on Wednesday, July 29, for $14.99 USD. It will offer support for the following languages: English, German, Spanish (EU), Russian, Simplified Chinese, French, Japanese, Korean, Polish, and Brazilian Portuguese.

ABSURD VENTURES AND DARK HORSE COMICS RELEASE AMERICAN CAPER VOLUME 1: RED-PILLED BLUES TRADE PAPERBACK

The first collected volume of Dan Houser’s hit crime-fiction comic book series is now available at booksellers and comic shops worldwide. Dark Horse Comics will celebrate with a rare Dan Houser signing at San Diego Comic-Con next week.

LOS ANGELES – July 14, 2026 Absurd Ventures, the entertainment company founded by longtime Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption creative director and writer Dan Houser, and Dark Horse Comics, have released American Caper Volume 1: Red-Pilled Blues, the series’ first trade paperback collection featuring the first four issues of the series. The book is now available for purchase through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, the Absurd Ventures Store, and other booksellers and comic book shops worldwide. Absurd Ventures has also released a new trailer today featuring artwork from the first four issues collected in American Caper Volume 1: Red-Pilled Blues.

This first collected edition of the original crime-fiction saga compiles Issues #1–4 of American Caper. Issue #1 of American Caper debuted in November 2025 as the bestselling crime-fiction comic book in North America, according to ICv2 sales data. The series features a murderer’s row of crime-fiction talent, including Houser and his longtime writing collaborator Lazlow, artwork by Eisner Award winner David Lapham (Stray Bullets), Chris Anderson (Lost Angels), Lee Loughridge (Nemesis: Rogue’s Gallery), with lettering by Nate Piekos whose work on the series was cited in his 2026 Eisner Award nomination, and covers by Tyler Boss (4 Kids Walk into a Bank).

American Caper is a tale of two totally normal, completely damaged families in a world of corrupt business, inept politics, bungling crime, self-righteous justice, and problematic leisure wear. We follow the fortunes of two neighbors who are on the point of collapse: a Mormon hitman and a gambling addict lawyer, both intertwined in a real estate deal gone wrong. Added to the mix are a Mexican beauty queen on the run from her past, two escaped convicts in love, a Wall Street billionaire who has become a cowboy, and a maniac hellbent on revenge. The manicured wilderness of Verona, Wyoming is the perfect cocktail of American culture: real estate development, violence and snake oil.

Recently, creator-writer Dan Houser, producer-writer Lazlow, and Dark Horse Comics’ Head of Publishing Tim Wiesch discussed American Caper at this year’s Tribeca Festival:

Lazlow on the origins of American Caper:
Dan told me about this one story in his head that he felt needed to be a comic book. The story really resonated with me because it touched on a lot of things that we love: humans, violence, Mormon hitmen, red-pilled housewives… stuff we’ve been making fun of for years. It was exciting to get into this medium and, I have to say, making comics is hard. It’s so rewarding, though, every page of it.”

Dan Houser on creating and writing an ongoing comic book series:
“I dabbled in comics before with a three-issue arc for Max Payne, and that was really fun. I’ve always loved that form of storytelling… I find it so rewarding when the final dialogue gets turned into these beautiful pages. It’s an art form I thought was really interesting — and, you know, if we’re going to make these things… we’re not making books to sell video games. We’re not making comic books to make TV shows [out of them]. We’re making things to make things — that are beautiful, we hope, and that will stand the test of time, exist for a long time, and be something we can be proud of. Everything we make, we want it to be made with the best talent we can convince to work with us, and to make something we’re really proud of — something that can exist in this media-saturated world as a thing of beauty in its own way.”

Tim Wiesch on signing American Caper to Dark Horse Comics:
I was one of those people that sobbed in front of Red Dead Redemption… I knew as soon as I read the first script of American Caper, that this was going to work… this is meant to be a comic… they had a prestigious comic book editor already working on it, they already had artists that were great. They came with a full package because they understood the medium and wanted to bring that in. I was overwhelmed with it.”

Absurd Ventures and Dark Horse Comics will celebrate the release of American Caper Volume 1: Red Pilled Blues next week at San Diego Comic-Con. Fans can visit the American Caper section of the Dark Horse Comics booth (#2615) to pick up a copy of the trade paperback, shop for first edition copies of sought-after single issues, and view original pages of full-page artwork from the series on exhibit. Dark Horse will be hosting two very rare signings at their booth signing stage: Dan Houser for his first-ever North American signing on Friday, July 24 from 10-10:50am (pre-registration required), signing copies of American Caper, with fans also welcome to bring one copy of their favorite Dan Houser video game to be signed; and on Saturday, July 25 from 2-2:50pm, Lazlow will be joined by American Caper collaborators Tyler Boss, Chris Anderson, Lee Loughridge, and Shelly Bond for a signing. Visit www.darkhorse.com for more details.

Build, Grow, Fight!

Feudal Baron: King’s Land is a medieval city builder that combines strategy and simulation elements. The title takes players into the world of medieval barons, the vassals, and stewards of landed estates. The adventure begins with a small, poor settlement, and the main task is to grow it into a thriving city.

Feudal Baron: King’s Land offers a story campaign, standalone scenarios, and a free-play sandbox mode. In the main story mode, players take on the role of an ambitious baron fighting to reclaim a lost legacy.

Gameplay covers a range of elements tied to developing a medieval city. Players raise new buildings, oversee production and the supply of key resources, and fight off invaders when needed. The developers have prepared an innovative building range system that allows fields, workshops, marketplaces, and mines to be linked into a single logistics chain.

The title lets players run their own politics, set taxes, and issue decrees. Some situations call for combat as well. In battle mode, players personally command their troops and can, for example, defend a besieged city.

Success in Feudal Baron: King’s Land also requires attending to the population’s needs, including food, schools, taverns, and churches. Unexpected plagues and disasters must be dealt with, too.

Feudal Baron: King’s Land – Key Features

  • Build and grow your settlement
  • Manage your city’s economy
  • Issue decrees and run your politics
  • Fight for influence and territory
  • Meet the needs of your citizens

Feudal Baron: King’s Land launches on XBOX Series X|S on July 16, 2026, and arrives on PlayStation 5 on August 8, 2026. The standard console price is 14.99 USD/EUR or the equivalent in other currencies.

Bit Bot Partners with Acclaimed Comic Creator Tyler Kirkham for New Genre-Bending Final Boss Video Game Adaptation

The Action-Packed Image Comics Series Transforms Into a Hybrid Retro Pixel Side-Scrolling Beat ‘Em Up/3D Fighting Game

DETROIT — July 14, 2026 — In advance of Comic-Con International 2026 in San Diego, Bit Bot and renowned comic writer and artist Tyler Kirkham are partnering to develop an official video game adaptation of Final Boss, Kirkham’s hit comic book series. Published by Image Comics, Final Boss quickly emerged as one of comics’ breakout successes, with its debut issue selling out at the distributor level and earning an immediate second printing following strong demand from retailers and readers. Now as the ongoing series continues to take the comic reading world by storm, Kirkham and Bit Bot will bring the hard-hitting, non-stop comic-inspired action to gamers around the world with a one-of-a-kind new video game, available to wishlist on Steam today.

Created, written, and illustrated by Tyler Kirkham — known for his work on Amazing Spider-Man, Green Lantern, X-Men, and numerous other bestselling titles — Final Boss follows Tommy Brazen, an ex-street brawler and powered-up mercenary who discovers that the secrets of his past are connected to something far larger than he ever imagined. The series blends the energy of classic arcade beat ’em ups, fighting games, and action entertainment into a high-octane comic experience. Now, Bit Bot is bringing that vision to life in interactive form. Developed by Bit Bot alongside its in-house game studio, Mecanimal Games, Final Bossis a faithful adaptation of the comic series, with Kirkham serving as a key creative collaborator throughout development. Leading the project alongside Kirkham are Bit Bot Creative Director Frank O’Connor, the former Franchise Creative Director behind Halo and Perfect Dark, and Bit Bot co-owner Joshua Viola. The game’s original score will be composed by acclaimed musician and Bit Bot co-owner Celldweller.

Final Boss was born from my love of classic arcade games, fighting games, action movies, and comics,” said Tyler Kirkham. “Working directly with Bit Bot allows us to translate that DNA into a video game that feels authentic to the comic while expanding the world in exciting new ways.”

“At its heart, Final Boss is about escalation,” said Frank O’Connor. “The gameplay mirrors the structure of the story. What begins as a cooperative street fight gradually narrows into a personal showdown. It’s a format that lets us combine two beloved genres while remaining completely faithful to the spirit of the comic.”

Designed for one to four players in local couch co-op, Final Boss begins as a pixel-art side-scrolling brawler inspired by arcade classics. Players battle through waves of enemies and progress through increasingly dangerous stages before each level culminates in a dramatic transformation. Animated comic-book panels introduce the boss, the action tightens, and the game shifts into a focused one-on-one 3D fighting experience inspired by modern fighting games.

“One of the things that immediately excited us about Final Boss is that the comic already feels like a video game,” added Joshua Viola. “Tyler created a world that celebrates arcade brawlers, fighting games, comics, and action cinema. Rather than simply adapting those ideas, we’re building a game around them.”

Fans can wishlist Final Boss on Steam now. For more updates, sign up at bitbotmedia.com for the Bit Bot newsletter.

The Stars Obey the Strongest. Conjurers Launches July 28 on Steam.

Command creatures of the Zodiac, seize rival constellations, and unseat the ruler of them all.

Vermont, USA —The Zodiac already has a ruler, and it isn’t you. Solo developer Carl Treadway and publisher indie.io announce that Conjurers, a turn-based tactics game where every victory means seizing a rival mage’s constellation and folding their star-born army into your own, launches July 28, 2026 on Steam with a 20% launch discount.

Eight rival mages rule the Zodiac, each commanding a constellation of creatures bound to them. Defeating one doesn’t just clear a path — it strips them of their stars entirely, folding those creatures into your own growing deck. Win enough battles and your army becomes something no single mage was ever meant to command: a hybrid force drawn from across the full Zodiac, built piece by piece from every opponent you’ve dismantled. The goal is singular and unrelenting: unite the Zodiac and become powerful enough to unseat the Immortal Aquarius.

Combat runs deeper than it first appears. Terrain isn’t a backdrop; it’s leverage. High ground, Mana Towers and battlefield hazards shift the math on every move, and creatures perform differently depending on the land beneath them. Players build a deck of 24 cards — drawing from 150 creature cards, weapons, abilities, and spells — and manage Mana carefully across each turn, choosing whether to activate creatures or play cards, never quite able to do everything at once. Each of the eight Conjurers fights differently, and so does every battlefield they occupy.

Key Features:

  • Conquer the Zodiac: Defeat rival Conjurers to claim their creature types permanently. Your creatures persist across battles, gaining experience and leveling up as they fight — all leading to one final confrontation with the Immortal Aquarius.
  • Terrain-Driven Tactics: High ground, Mana Towers, and environmental hazards shape every battle — positioning is as important as the cards in your hand.
  • 60 Creatures. Infinite Hybrids: Combine any two Zodiac creature types to forge powerful hybrids. A Hoofed-Human becomes a Minotaur, a Polypod-Prowler forms a Manticore, a Winged-Lizard gives rise to a Dragon, with many more combinations waiting to be discovered.

Aquarius has ruled long enough. Conjurers launches July 28, 2026, on Steam for $11.99 with a 20% launch discount. Play the free demo now and be ready when the Zodiac opens for conquest.

FARMING SIMULATOR 25: BEANS & ALPACAS BRINGS COFFEE, ALPACAS & MORE

Farm life gets warmer and fluffier: Publisher and developer GIANTS Software announces Beans & Alpacas for Farming Simulator 25, set in a new farming region in South America. Built around coffee estates, the expansion adds new crops, machines, animals and more.

Catuaí: Home of Alpacas & Arabica Coffee

Coffee beans can be planted starting from September, with red coffee cherries ready for harvest in May. Meanwhile, alpacas can be sheared for wool and led on a leash to increase their happiness, with Brahman cows grazing next to them. New production chains and products from crops and animals allow farmers to increase their profits.

A Hint of Brazil, With Rivers & Red Soil

Catuaí is characterized by rolling hills, lower mountain slopes and dense, humid vegetation. A winding river reminiscent of the Amazon cuts through the region, architecturally inspired by Brazil, passing stilt houses along the shore. Plantations, narrow roads and colorful rural houses, shops and depots define the landscape.

The expansion also adds a record number of new buildings and decorations, including six houses with full interiors and dozens of environment-specific placeables. Landscapers can discover dinosaur bones and collect them in a museum.

Over 25 New Machines & Many Improvements

Beans & Alpacas includes more than two dozen machines from Case IH, Ford, John Deere, KUHN, Mercedes-Benz Trucks, New Holland, Oxbo, Stara, Valtra, and more. Colombo Industries joins the series as a new brand, adding equipment suited to the new region and farming activities.

The expansion also adds new sugarcane foliage and effects, enhanced animations and visual effects for ground tools, and additional fieldwork detail. More information on the Beans & Alpacas Expansion, including further features, will be announced soon.

Farming Simulator 25 is available for PC, Mac, PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S. Beans and Alpacas will be available on October 27th as a separate expansion or an edition including the base game. Pre-orders are available on selected channels. The Beans and Alpacas Expansion is included in the Year 2 Season Pass, too, with savings of up to 30% compared to purchasing the content separately. GIANTS Software will also continue to release free content updates and user-generated content on the official ModHub. Visit the official Farming Simulator website.
