Fans of the Ys franchise should already be pleased that the Vita game, Ys: Memories of Celceta, is coming West but they will be ecstatic to hear that XSEED Games is also bringing Ys I & II Chronicles+ out to Steam next month.

Ys I & II Chronicles+ is set to be released in February for $14.99 but can be pre-ordered now for a 15% discount. The biggest question is, what does the + stand for in the name? Well the Steam page, which also includes all of the screenshots you see below, details that the game now features all of the decorative frames from the Japanese only PC compilation YS I & II Complete, a full-screen option and a larger viewing screen.

The title also features things such as anime portraits, different difficulty levels for those who want a lesser or greater challenge and three versions of the game’s soundtrack are also included in this release.

The XSEED news keeps coming as today the company also announced that they are bringing Falcom’s re-imagined Ys IV, Ys: Memories of Celceta, over to North America. The title will be released sometime this Fall on PlayStation Vitas.

Ys: Memories of Celceta follows the story of an amnesiac Adol Christin who must try to restore his lost memories by entering the Sea of Trees. The title sees a number of improvements over past games by offering more enemies, the largest and most non-linear world and some of the best graphics and fast paced gameplay that the series has ever seen.

Rune Factory 4 coming to North America in English this Summer

rune-factory-4-logo

XSEED Games has pulled off a nice little coup today as they have announced that they will be bringing Rune Factory 4 over to North American 3DS this Summer. Now while this isn’t the first time XSEED has published a Rune Factory game, the series has largely been published by Natsume until now.

Rune Factory 4 saw the highest sales in franchise history in Japan when it was released last year and features a number of improvements to past games. Rune Factory 4 allows players to choose a female or male character that falls from the sky and becomes the princess or prince of Selphia where they must try to manage the village within the game. While very similar to harvest moon in many regards, such as farming, cooking and crafting, it varies greatly by offering players monsters to fight and tame. In fact, you can even date and marry a few monster-human hybrids alongside basic human characters.

While it had been rumored that XSEED Games would be bringing Grasshopper Manufacture’s next title, Killer is Dead, over to North America the company has never confirmed the fact. That is until today when the company announced that they will indeed be bringing the title over to North America sometime this summer while Deep Silver will be bringing it to gamers in Europe and Australia.

In Killer is Dead players take control of Mondo Zappa, a man who wields a katana with his right hand and a left hand that can change into a number of different weapons including a drill. Mondo is an executioner who is tasked with killing the worst criminals in the world.

Madden 25 announced by EA Sports

madden-25

Today EA Sports announced something with so many vague details, we barely know what to tell you besides to look at the image above. Either way, today the company released the above image stating that they are planning on releasing something on August 27th that has to do with Madden.

It could be another name for Madden NFL 14 or a game that will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the series which is happening this year or something else. Currently no platforms have been revealed but one can expect the game to appear on nearly every major platform available at that time.
