New Scott Pilgrim vs The World Game DLC now available

Three years after the game’s launch Scott Pilgrim vs The World is still alive and kicking with a brand new downloadable content pack out now. The new DLC pack for Scott Pilgrim vs The World introduces the character Wallace Wells as well as online multiplayer for the game.

A trailer for the DLC pack has also been released and can be seen below. The pack will retail for $7.95 on the PlayStation Store and 400 Microsoft Points on the Xbox Live Arcade Marketplace.

God Of War: Ascension Launches In Australia Today

God of War: Ascension, the newest title in Sony’s smash God of War franchise unleashes its rage in the land down under today!

In God of War: Ascension, players will once again take on the role of Kratos to chronicle the events that led to his path of vengeance with Ares and the other gods.  The game will seek to give fans epic cinematic storytelling, visceral combat, and the other outstanding moments the series has long been so well known for.

God of War: Ascension also features a revamped combat system and, for the first time ever, an online multiplayer mode that captures the brutal combat in large scale battles.  The online gameplay will feature the intense combat the series is known for mixed with unique objective-based games for up to 8 players.  You will also create and customize your own warrior, pledge allegiance to a god, and unlock new weapons, armor, and special attacks as you battle to become the champion of the gods!

Deadly Premonition: Director’s Cut gets Website

The release of Deadly Premonition: Director’s Cut is drawing closer and closer and while sadly today is not that day, those that are looking forward to the game do now have a new hub to find everything they could want about it.  Now the official website for the game has come online, so players can check out everything from screenshots, to video, to information on what all makes it a director’s cut.

With additional content in the form of improved graphics, additional story, and exclusive DLC.  Deadly Premonition: Director’s Cut is the release of the cult game, with cults, for the PlayStation 3 for Europe and North America as its original release didn’t quite make it out of Japan on anything besides Xbox 360.

Players that are interested in Deadly Premonition: Director’s Cut, that haven’t done so yet, can also pre-order the game through the new website, so be sure to check it out HERE.

Raptr Offering Defiance Codes

Raptr has teamed up with Defiance developers Trion Worlds to provide players with a chance to not only gain access to the Defiance Beta, but digital copies of the game for PC as well.  They will be giving out a total of 10,000 codes to get players into the Beta to check out what the upcoming game will have.

Starting today players will be able to get these codes, so be sure to check out the details for how to qualify for one yourself HERE.  Defiance the game will be interconnected with the Defiance TV series starting on SyFy next month, with both impacting the other.  So getting a chance to play the Beta now is a great chance to learn more about the game, but the entire world it’s set in.

The Defiance game will be releasing April 2th, 2013 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, while the the Defiance TV series will be starting April 15th, 2013.

New Inazuma Eleven GO Game Announced

A brand new Inazuma Eleven GO game for the Nintendo 3DS has been officially announced through the latest CoroCoro magazine. The game will be titled Inazuma Eleven GO Galaxy and will revolve around the revival of the legendary Inazuma Japan team.

The game will focus on the revived Inazuma Japan team passionately try to reclaim the title of best soccer team in the entire world. You can see a scan of CoroCoro magazine up above which displays the entire Inazuma Japan team that will be part of Inazuma Eleven GO Galaxy. It seems that this game will tie-up the Inazuma Eleven GO series.

New Gintama Movie details and poster revealed

Gintama-Final-Chapter-MovieNew details have come to light on the upcoming 2013 Gintama film through the latest Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The film now has an official title of Gintama the Movie: Final Chapter – Be Forever Yorozuya.

Also revealed was a poster for Gintama the Movie: Final Chapter which can be seen to the right. The film will feature an original story written by Gintama creator Hideaki Sorachi an will be released July 6th, 2013 throughout Japan.

The Gintama anime series is rumoured to be once again ending due to a new anime titled Aikatsu! being slated to be taking over Gintama’s time-slot on April 4th so it would make sense if this film is intended to truly be the ‘Final Chapter’ of the series.

Loveshack Entertainment Formed

Three former Firemint senior developershave formed a new game studio called Loveshack Entertainment. The team announced their fist game entitled Framed, a noir comics inspired puzzler that gives players a chance to control the narrative of the story.

“Josh and I really clicked when we worked together on SPY mouse. But we were also both finding that whilst we loved working at Firemint, we wanted to stretch our creative muscles outside of a larger company,” said Adrian Moore, co-founder of Loveshack Entertainment. “With Ollie joining the team, we’re now ready to unleash our love on the world.” The team will be focused on more creative game projects at their new digs in Melbourne, Australia.

Check out Framed’s concept video below. The game will be released for tablets and PC in late 2013.

DD Fist of the North Star trailer released, Ken gets super-deformed

dd-fist-of-the-north-starFans of the Fist of the North Star franchise will be delighted to see that as part of the 30th anniversary celebrations for the series a brand new Fist of the North Star spin-off anime will be airing this year, but not quite in the way you’d expect.

DD Fist of the North Star takes the franchise into super-deformed chibi comedy territory, something the franchise has never seen before. A brand new trailer for DD Fist of the North Star can be seen below.

Super Tower Rush hits IndieGameStand

IndieGameStand’s latest 96 hour deal is Super Tower Rush. The game  is a competitive platformer set in a special tower that granted wishes. Unfortunately, to get your wish granted, two people must race down the tower and the winner gets their wish. Single player and split screen multiplayer is currently supported. Online multiplayer will be implimented in a future update. The game is currently in alpha status and is beign developed by a co-creater of previously featured game Pixelry and the creator of Antipodes. All buyers will receive all updates to the game for life. Those who beat the average will receive the official soundtrack and 14 wallpapers.

The game comes as a DRM free download or as a Desura redeemable key for those who pay more than $1.00 for the game. 10% of the profit will go to support Open Source Ecology. Check out the game here.

Three Games Added to Humble Bundle for Android 5

Humble Bundle sweetened the deal on Humble Bundle for Android 5 by adding three new games. Those who have beaten the average price for the bundle will now also get Capy’s game Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP, Cipher Prime’s puzzler Splice, and Kloonigames’ puzzler Crayon Physics Deluxe. The games three new games are available on Android, Linux, Mac, and PC. In addition, the soundtrack for Crayon Physics Deluxe and the complimentary album for Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery are included.
