LOVE ETERNAL Bends Gravity and Reality at the PC Gaming Show

LOS ANGELES – June 8, 2025 – LOVE ETERNAL, the unconventional horror platformer about escaping the domain of a selfish god from developer brlka and publisher Ysbryd Games (WORLD OF HORROR, VA-11 Hall-A), will launchon PlayStation 5|4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in Q4 2025, as seen in today’s PC Gaming Show.

When Maya leaves the dinner table to answer a phone call, she returns to find her family missing, her home destroyed, and her surroundings transmuted into an unfamiliar, eerie landscape reminiscent of the Iron Age. Seek a way out of this strange predicament by navigating the unpredictable liminal spaces and ignoring Earthly laws of physics – but not before confronting the powerful god responsible for her abduction.

Dash through the crumbling chambers of a labyrinthine castle, leaping, flipping, and strategically landing on the floors and ceilings of each puzzle-like room. Plan jump arcs carefully to make use of environmental boons that trigger Maya’s ability to flip gravity in midair, and avoid razor-sharp spikes, shifting lasers, and other deadly obstacles in precision platforming challenges.

Take in vast, desolate landscapes as disquieting ambient tones haunt the god’s domain. Gaze at imposing, yet lonely, statues throughout the realm’s many environments, from undersea caverns to uncanny copies of Maya’s suburban home. Brave encounters with monstrous doppelgängers of Maya’s family and friends, and meet other victims of the deity’s abductions.

“During development we put a lot of time and care into the castle’s atmosphere, creating music and ambience whose interplay expressed a sense of forlornness, and using a painterly style of pixel art to give a sense of a world much larger than the small corners you see as the player,” said Toby Alden, designer at brlka. “We’re looking forward to sharing the secrets of this time-worn realm later this year.”

LOVE ETERNAL will reveal Maya’s attempts at escape on PlayStation 5|4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in Q4 2025 with English, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Spanish, and Russian language support.

1000 Deaths Release Date Revealed at IGN Live, Launches Aug. 7 on PC

Bend gravity, break reality, and change the lives of four all-too-human aliens forever

MUMBAI/BROOKLYN — June 8, 2025 — 1000 Deaths, the award-winning psychedelic 3D platformer where choices dramatically alter the story and gameplay, developed by Pariah Interactive, enters the mind’s eye on PC via Steam on Thursday, Aug. 7, as revealed at IGN Live today. PlayStation 5 will join the trip down memory lane in a future date. Play a brand-new PC demo, available now as part of Steam Next Fest.

Guide Vayu, Maxie, Terry, and Boga, aliens with problems all too human, through the crossroads of their life. Across three, highly replayable, 20 minute episodes, lead them from birth to death; as they learn about the world, form their identities as teenagers, make their stamp on the world as adults, and look back on the consequences of their actions in their dying days.

Jump into each character’s evolving Headspace, the architectural embodiment of their moods, as a fleet-footed television set, and roam the plains of their embroiled minds in more than 45 eccentric, story-centric stages. Flip gravity, deploy jetpacks, alter levels with toggle switches, and space out.

Collect Broadcasts, videos playing on 1000 Deaths’ TV mascot character’s screen, that illuminate interpersonal conflicts residing within the cast. Choose how to curve their convictions into meaningful life choices to unlock new levels and gameplay mechanics tied to their inner turmoils like fear of commitment, desire for power, and penchant for nihilism. Make peace with each character as they endure the cycle of life, aging, and death, and make vital decisions to steer their lives in drastic directions.

Failure is an option, actually. No sweat! Conflict resolution has consequences, but you can always try again (and again) in a branching, non-linear narrative. Navigate replayable, abstract realities across three episodes with a total of 12 possible endings. Play at your own pace in Story mode, or put your platforming skills to the test in Arcade mode with 47 levels that stretch the bounds of 1000 Deaths’ mechanics.

“I love platformers, especially ones that rely on interesting ways to move around: Super Mario GalaxyCrash Bandicoot, and modern games like A Hat in Time, and Celeste in particular…” said Prashast Thapan, founder of Pariah Interactive. “How I wanted to make my mark was to put my own spin on how to fuse the joy of play and memorable characters with a narrative structure and themes that you rarely see in platformers.”

“We’re telling stories about weighty topics – the struggles of forming your identity, the darkness that lies at the heart of our beings, how others change us and we change others, and the role that media plays in influencing our desires and decisions. All the major events in 1000 Deaths begin when a character is in front of a TV, and these external influences impact their lives in ways I hope our audience thinks about. We’ve really tried to strike a difficult balance: making a game that’s both fun and thought-provoking.”

1000 Deaths releases Thursday, Aug. 7, on PC via Steam as revealed at IGN Live, with support for text in English, Japanese, French, Italian, German, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish. Play a brand-new demo today on Steam as part of Steam Next Fest. A PlayStation 5 version is in development, with other platforms to be announced at a later date.
