Question Reality in Mysterious Visual Novel “and Roger”, Debut Demo Arrives Today

TOKYO — June 9, 2025 — and Roger, the mysterious point-and-click slice-of-life visual novel developed by TearyHand Studio and published by Kodansha Creators’ Lab, awakens a new demo on PC via Steam today during June’s Steam Next Fest. Discover where the story leads with the full launch in Summer 2025.

While getting ready for what seems like a normal day, a young girl’s morning routine comes to an abrupt halt courtesy of an unexpected, unwelcome surprise. Her father has disappeared, and a stranger (seemingly a bit too comfortable with his intrusion) has made himself at home at their residence.

Who is this man, and what does he want? Where’s Dad? Why does he know her, yet she doesn’t know him? Reveal the identity of the stranger residing in their house, and unravel the story of her father’s disappearance through a series of interactive games where everyday events hide significant secrets.

In the demo, unfold the beginning of the first chapter of a mysterious story complemented by high-contrast, comic book-style visuals. Experience life through the eyes of the protagonist, Will the girl be able to escape from this mysterious man? And where has her father disappeared to…?

“We’ve all had one of those days that makes you question everything,” said yona, solo developer of TearyHand Studio. “The demo for and Roger explores the beginning of one of those life-altering days. The confusion, clinging to what is known while avoiding the unknown, it’s like walking through the fog in search of a lighthouse. We look forward to everyone trying out the demo and lending their voice to development as we move towards launch this summer!”

and Roger arrives on PC via Steam in Summer 2025. The debut demo is available today as part of Steam Next Fest with language support in English, Japanese, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. Meet Farmatic – a multiplayer cozy farming RPG with robots and automation

Frozen Way, a Krakow-based development studio, is proud to officially announce Farmatic – a farming life simulator with automation and RPG elements, set in a world inspired by the 1970s and 1990s.

June 9th, Cracow, Poland. The game will launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X with full cross-platform co-op support for up to four players.

Add the game to your Steam wishlist (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2573060/Farmatic/) and follow developers on Discord (https://discord.gg/frozenwayofficial).

Farmatic has been carefully cultivated to blend the charm of classic farming games with elements of automation and light RPG mechanics. Designed as a relaxing yet engaging experience, the game allows players to expand his own farm with the help of friendly bots, and a variety of crops – including mutated plants with special properties. But farming is just one side of the experience.

Players will also venture into mysterious underground mines, filled with valuable resources and hostile creatures guarding them. Between growing crops, crafting equipment, building farm hubs, and fighting for rare ores, Farmatic offers a diverse and rewarding gameplay loop. Combined with a cast of unique NPCs, village life full of quests, it’s an ambitious entry in the cozy farming sim genre.

More information about the game’s mechanics, systems, and supported platforms can be found below or on the official Steam page.

About Farmatic

Farmatic is a farming life simulator that combines cozy farming, light automation, crafting, and combat elements. Set in a retro-futuristic world inspired by the 1970s and 1990s, the game allows players to create and expand their own farm using advanced technology to make everyday farm work more efficient and enjoyable. Whether playing alone or in co-op, players will gradually transform their farm while uncovering new mechanics, completing story-driven quests, and navigating both the charm and the strangeness of village life.

At its core, Farmatic offers players the tools to run their own farm – from planting and harvesting crops to raising animals and using light automation to support everyday tasks. As players progress, they can expand their farm with bots and simple machines that make work easier without replacing the cozy pace of farm life.

Far beneath the peaceful fields lies a dangerous and irradiated zone – the underground mines, home to Rhemidium, a mysterious and highly unstable radioactive metal. As players descend deeper, they must face mutated subterranean lifeforms and survive increasing levels of radiation. Without a protective suit, exposure can quickly take its toll, making every expedition a strategic challenge. Yet the reward is worth it – Rhemidium is key to unlocking some of the game’s most advanced features.

Once prepared by the town’s chemist, Remidium-based soil allows players to grow mutated crops – unique plants with specific, well-defined effects. Each type offers a different utility: some may be processed into uncommon tools or functional upgrades, such as fiery chili plants turned into ammunition with fire damage properties. Others may also be required to complete certain quests, adding a narrative touch to their otherwise practical role on the farm.

Farmatic also features a small-town community full of memorable characters, quests, and interactions. From the eccentric local scientist to the friendly shopkeepers, the town offers many opportunities to get involved in village life and learn more about its curious world. Helping others isn’t just rewarding – it also unlocks new tools, resources, and gameplay features.

One of the standout features of Farmatic is its cooperative gameplay. Up to four players can join forces thanks to full crossplay support across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X. Friends can divide tasks, explore the mines together, and build a shared farm in their own style – no matter the platform.

Farmatic focuses on calm, satisfying progression, blending traditional farming with light automation and exploration. It reimagines rural life through a retro-futuristic lens – in a setting that feels both familiar and refreshingly different.

Farmatic is being developed by Frozen Way. The game will launch on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The exact launch date will be revealed in the near future.

A Troubled Samurai’s Journey Through Memory

Set in a mythically inspired feudal Japan, this story follows Atsushi as he embarks on a quest to save his ill father. The only way to heal his father is to obtain the Raikestsu herb, a precious plant that can only be found through deadly trials hosted by Emperor Lord Hisashi, featuring the most skilled samurai from all across Japan. What begins as a mere escort mission quickly escalates into an emotionally driven adventure filled with unforeseen challenges. Join Atsushi as he confronts the grief of his passed loved ones and uncovers hidden alliances, revealing powerful truths that will forever shape his beliefs.

Perfect for Story and Turn-Based Lovers

Whether you are a fan of visual novels or turn-based titles, Lotus: Lost Memories offers a perfect blend of both genres. The game features deliberate, slow-paced combat that reflects the introspective tone typical of visual novels, along with a compelling story that can resonate with anyone. This game features a unique strategic battle system that combines turn-based mechanics with real-time Quick Time Events for actions such as blocking, parrying, and throwing kunai to intercept attacks. Master ten distinct turn-based moves, including overhead and underhand swings, piercing jabs, and more. Success in the game relies solely on timing, precision, and reflexes rather than traditional RPG stats. For an added challenge, Gauntlet mode presents a timed endurance trial where players compete against matched opponents on a leaderboard. From quaint villages to the thrill of the battle arena, explore six unique Japanese-inspired combat environments featuring various enemies of all sizes and difficulties, including stealthy ninjas, cunning bandits, and rival fellow samurai.

In Act One, players start with humble samurai beginnings, featuring a brief introduction to the story setting and combat. Act Two expands on the world-building as you progress, allowing you to learn more about Atsushi as he slowly shares his memories with others. Finally, in Act Three, players will face a series of tournament trials where long-buried truths are finally revealed.
