SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – 10th June 2025: Myrkur Games and Deep Silver have confirmed that Echoes of the End, the studio’s debut cinematic action-adventure game, will launch later this year on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

A brand-new trailer reveals the first in-depth look at its breathtaking world, powerful magic, and emotional character-driven narrative.

Echoes of the End follows Ryn, a powerful vestige born with volatile magical abilities, as she sets out to rescue her brother from a brutal empire on the brink of war. Alongside haunted scholar Abram Finlay, she must uncover a conspiracy that could reignite an ancient conflict and plunge the world of Aema into chaos.

Driven by themes of trust, sacrifice and redemption, the story unfolds across ten hand-crafted chapters filled with cinematic moments, memorable characters, and high-stakes decisions.

Echoes of the End launches on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox Series X|S later this year. Players can wishlist the game now on Steam.

Key game features:

  • Epic storytelling. Powered by Unreal Engine 5 and captured with full performance motion capture, the narrative is brought to life by a stellar cast of voice and screen actors. Featuring the voices of Aldís Amah Hamilton as Ryn and Karl Ágúst Úlfsson as Abram.
  • Magic meets steel. Master fast-paced combat that fuses swordplay with devastating magical powers. Take on human and monstrous foes and face epic boss battles that demand strategy and skill.
  • Solve and survive. Use Ryn’s magical abilities to overcome puzzles and environmental obstacles. Manipulate gravity, cast illusions and reshape the world around you.
  • Traverse a living world. Control time and gravity as you navigate a breathtaking world shaped by Iceland’s raw beauty, from molten lava fields to frozen ruins.
  • Companion gameplay. Work closely with Abram to fight, explore and solve puzzles. Your connection grows throughout the game, shaping gameplay and story alike.
  • Original score. Echoes of the End features an emotionally rich, original soundtrack composed by Viktor Ingi Guðmundsson, blending cinematic soundscapes with traditional Icelandic influences.

The world of Aema:

Once united under a powerful empire, Aema is now a fragmented land shaped by war, memory, and elemental magic. From sunken cities beneath glacial cliffs to sacred battlegrounds bathed in fire, players will journey through a world that remembers its past and is shaped by every choice they make.

Each of the ten chapters introduces new enemies, traversal challenges, and emotional story beats, making Aema feel alive, reactive, and deeply immersive.

Developed in Reykjavík, Iceland, Echoes of the End is the debut title from Myrkur Games, a studio founded by a close-knit group of storytellers and developers with a passion for cinematic worldbuilding.

Over the past several years, the team has developed bespoke pipelines for motion capture, photogrammetry and character performance to deliver a grounded, emotionally resonant experience.

FIRST LOOK AT SCREAMER FIGHTING MECHANICS IN MILESTONE’S NEW GAMEPLAY TRAILER

Sydney, Australia, June 10, 2025 – With the first gameplay trailer showcased during IGN Live, Milestone has offered a first glimpse of the fighting mechanics behind Screamer, the high-octane racing game that promises to revolutionise arcade action through innovative gameplay dynamics woven into a deep and engaging story.

Neo Rey, a futuristic city styled after anime universes, sets the stage for intense street battles among Screamers, fearless drivers who unleash their rivalries in the most brutal racing showdown ever. In this world, some race for glory, others for power or revenge. A mysterious tech changed racing forever: the ECHO. Thanks to it, every race is a fight, and every battle is personal and brutal. Through a trailblazing set of mechanics, players will experience the destiny of each character in no-holds-barred clashes where speed alone won’t be enough to survive.

One of Screamer’s key innovations lies in its unique vehicle handling system, which applies a Twin Stick control scheme: the left analogue stick will be used to steer, while the right stick controls drifting. This way, players will have a precise and satisfying tool to tackle corners and stay ahead of the pack. Moreover, the Boost will push each vehicle to the limits of its performance, while the strategic use of the Strike will make it possible to take out opponents by hitting them at just the right moment. And once the Overdrive kicks in, chaos will reign supreme across the streets of Neo Rey.

Only by mastering the entire ECHO system will it be possible to emerge victorious. And just like in any true battle, races in Screamer won’t be all about offense, as players will also have dedicated defensive tools to protect themselves from their rivals, with more details to be revealed soon.

By combining innovative vehicle handling, fighting mechanics, and a rich storyline, Screamer will deliver an unconventional arcade experience able to blend strategy and emotional intensity from the first to the last turn. Scheduled for release in 2026, Screamer will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
