Tomo: Endless Blue Announces Planned Nintendo Switch 2 Version as Kickstarter Campaign Enters Its Final Days!

A new teaser confirms plans to begin porting Onibi’s living-world creature-collecting RPG to Nintendo Switch 2, as the studio also confirms Mac, Linux, and DRM-free alternatives

Paris, France – Junr 17, 2026 – Indie studio Onibi today announced that Tomo: Endless Blue is planned for Nintendo Switch 2, with porting work set to begin alongside the previously announced PC version. The announcement is accompanied with a new teaser showing a quick look into the game’s platforming gameplay. Now entering its final days, the Kickstarter campaign has surpassed $170,000 from more than 1,400 backers after hitting its $100,000 goal in under 60 hours.

Watch Tomo: Endless Blue Nintendo Teaser here:

Tomo: Endless Blue is built around the thrill of setting out across a vast ocean to discover and catch loveable creatures, from familiar companions to rare finds. Players sail the Endless Blue, a world of mysterious islands, strange towns, ancient ruins, and more than 150 Tomo to collect and partner with.

Thanks to procedural generation, no two islands are the same, and each journey alongside your creatures can lead to unique stories, characters, discoveries, and adventures other players may never experience. Players are visitors in a world bigger than themselves, one they can shape, but that keeps living with or without them.

The difference is what happens after the catch: Tomo are not just collected and stored away. Players bring them home, build places for them to live, and shape an island settlement around the creatures they love.

“The community has been asking about Nintendo Switch 2 since the first days of the campaign,” said Benjamin Devienne, Founder and CEO of Onibi“Tomo is about setting sail to find rare creatures, bringing them home, and building a world around them. That fantasy feels very natural on Nintendo hardware, and we wanted to celebrate the final days of the Kickstarter by confirming that bringing Tomo to Switch 2 is part of our plan.”

The planned Nintendo Switch 2 version remains subject to Nintendo approval. Onibi also confirmed plans for Mac and Linux versions, and that DRM-free alternatives will be available for players who prefer to own and play outside locked storefronts.

About ConchShip Games

With an RPG Maker demo, Zhen Jie created a passionate community around The Scroll of Taiwu: Beyond the Dome and released its Early Access version in 2018. More than 3.4 million players have now experienced that story, and ConchShip Games has inspired numerous Chinese indie developers to follow its path and create their own Chinese indie games. Now the team is dedicated to refining The Scroll of Taiwu: Beyond the Dome and bringing a grand finale to this long-lasting tale.

Set forth on your quest to [INSERT GOAL HERE] with one of the worthy yet quirky heroes in solo or cooperative play, local and online. Hack, slash, and dodge through hordes of enemies and deadly traps in procedurally generated runs of hand-crafted rooms and levels using each hero’s unique attacks and abilities to your advantage.

How are those at all like a 1980s turn-based, grid-locked dungeon crawler that you can play in the command line with vim control bindings? They have ‘randomness’? Pathetic. And here I am, part of the problem. Might as well call it a Metroidvania too.”

FEATURES

  • Choose from a cast of 9 playable characters and hurl axes, fling arrows, toss knives, and even flip steaks at a rogues’ gallery of bizarre enemies
  • Each character, whether it’s a burly berserker or a saxophone-playing rat, has unique skills, side objectives, and customizable trinkets to experiment with
  • Play solo or invite a pal aboard to help. Dark Scrolls supports both local and online co-op and collaborating players can strategize and revive each other mid-level
  • Super authentic old school visuals, SFX, and music. Looks and sounds like classic games of yore, but with the sparkle of modern controls and design
  • Procedurally generated levels stitched together from hand-crafted rooms. Every run offers new surprises, branching paths, and skill-testing bosses

Whether you’re playing alone or adventuring with a buddy, Dark Scrolls is packed with charm, challenge, and secrets. Hack, slash, and dodge your way through hordes of enemies and deadly traps as the level nudges you ever forward. Will you survive?

Serenity Forge Announces Sister Other Paranoia a New Dark Visual Novel from the Creator of NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE

Everyone else should die, except my sister

Boulder, Colo. (June 16, 2026) – Today, publisher Serenity Forge (Fractured Blooms, Slay the Princess, To The Moon, Doki Doki Literature Club!) and developer Studio HazeDenki, the team behind NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE, announced Sister Other Paranoia, a surreal interactive animation presented as a dark visual novel, accompanied by a new trailer:

Sister Other Paranoia follows a quiet first-year university student with a strange knack for sensing the “colors” of other people’s emotions. To escape his rough-tempered parents and the noise of everyday life, he shuts himself away in his room with his gentle, highly gifted younger sister, spending his days reading books and writing his own light novel, the wave of envy and malice that begin to surround him -both online and offline- push his mind to the brink, and he starts to feel a very real, murderous urge toward the people around him.

Sister Other Paranoia blends a retro horror “denpa” atmosphere with a focus on psychological tension. Players make key dialogue choices about how the protagonist responds to the unpleasant people around him, and watch as those choices steadily twist the relationships and push each character toward a different, often disturbing fate.

To celebrate the announcement, Serenity Forge will be heading to Anime Expo on July 2-5 with Nyalra, the main creator of Sister Other Paranoia and NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE, VO and the creators of the anime NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE, which is currently available on Crunchyroll. The event will feature a panel and an autograph session with Nyalra, where new merchandise for both games will be available for Anime Expo attendees.

Metrognome has seized power as the new mayor of Metronopolis, and the once peaceful city now lives and breathes to the literal beat under his reign. Join Spanky, an inventive bat, on an adventure complete with a roaring electro swing original soundtrack and an art style inspired by classic 1930s cartoons. Cut through all the noise and make your way to the Metrotower to put an end to this commotion once and for all.

Clap, Dash, Attack, Repeat!
Travel through Metronopolis’ three distinct districts: Morguetone, a graveyard district home to ghostly souls of the afterlife. Blue Vines, a jungle-themed district full of exotic animals and monkeys of all kinds. Lastly, at the center of Metronopolis, Nova Nubla, a district renowned for its state-of-the-art industrial design, technology, luxury… and undercover secrets. Each level poses a new challenge with fresh beats, tricky traps, and level-specific mechanics like echolocation and air shafts that will test your precision, sense of rhythm, and ability to adapt. Maintain a steady rhythm to perform a high-scoring attack combo,  and explore for gold and hidden collectibles, such as vinyl records to play new tracks on your at-home music player.

Every Fight is a Dance
As you approach Metrognome’s headquarters for the final showdown, you will encounter bosses who guard each district, such as DJ Cobwebb, an eight-legged spider that operates his own mausoleum club. Giant howler monkey Blue Vines councilor, Maestro Bonobotti, a glittering opera star, but not the brightest politician. Lastly, district councilor and cunning secretary Owlivia, the only one in all of Metronopolis able to keep Metrognome in check. All boss battles have multiple phases that switch between music tracks. Read your enemies’ movesets carefully, and you’ll be able to turn every boss battle into the ultimate performance.

Demo For PvE Extraction Shooter No Such Place Climbs the Steam Next Fest Charts

Explore, loot, and escape in a retro multiplayer extraction shooter demo

Shenzhen, China June 16, 2026 | Publisher ChillyRoom and developer Crit Team are excited to announce that a demo for No Such Place — its upcoming top-down PvE extraction shooter — is available on Steam now as part of Valve’s latest Steam Next Fest celebration. The demo, which supports multiplayer co-op for up to four players, is currently the twelfth most popular Steam Next Fest demo and is climbing the charts.

Watch the No Such Place trailer below:

In No Such Place, players take on the role of agents from the U.R.C. — Unknown Research Consortium. This mysterious organisation is dedicated to investigating supernatural anomalies erased from known history. Dispatched into fragmented dimensions, players must survive hostile environments, gather supplies and intelligence, and locate an extraction point before time runs out.

Some of those hostile environments include abandoned military outposts, mist-shrouded research facilities, eternal forests, and frozen mountains. While uncovering ancient relics and highly classified documents, players can scavenge for medicine, equipment, and weapons to aid their survival against monsters, rival agents, mercenaries, and more.

No Such Place also features a highly flexible weapon customisation system where players can mix and match all sorts of gun parts. For example, a motorcycle suppressor can be attached to an assault rifle, a Victorian brass scope can be mounted on modern military hardware, and a corrupted rifle magazine can be slotted into a pistol.

Players can play the No Such Place demo on Steam right now. All demo save data can be carried over to the game’s launch, scheduled for later this year.

Trophy Partners with the IGDA Foundation to Launch Year-Round, Brand-Funded Charity Activations

A collaboration that pays studios while funding the next generation of game developers.

TAMPA, FL – June 16, 2026 – Trophy, the brand activation platform created by NextGen Interactive LLC, today announced a strategic partnership with the IGDA Foundation. This new initiative creates a year-round fundraising model that pays participating game studios while funding the next generation of game developers from historically underrepresented communities.

Trophy is a marketing activation platform that helps brands reward gamers by identifying brand moments in player gameplay, and routes brand marketing funds to the studios whose playerbase creates in-game moments through existing game play. Through this partnership, the IGDA Foundation receives a portion of these brand activation funds committed by the participating studios. In turn, the Foundation continues its support for workforce programs, mentorship initiatives and  maintaining a global community of game developers.

Players opt in via email or SMS for any participating game, and continue playing with no change to how the game looks or feels. When a player triggers a sponsored moment, Trophy routes a brand activation payment to the studio. Studios keep 88 to 96 percent of every brand activation, with no code changes required and no purchases needed from the player.

Launch studios include Trinket Studios, whose tactical cooking RPG Battle Chef Brigade brings competitive kitchen battles to the platform, and NEARstudios, whose charming co-op sandbox RPG sim Hawthorn invites players into a hand-crafted world of small-town life and discovery.

“The IGDA Foundation has funded the next generation of game developers for years. Trophy extends that work without asking players to change a thing,” says Alyssa Walles, Executive Director of the IGDA Foundation. “They play the games they already love, the experience stays exactly the same, and studios get paid while the next generation gets funded. That alignment is rare.”

“The gaming industry generates over $174 billion a year, and the communities that built the player base are still the most underrepresented in the workforce,” says Marcus Howard, CEO of NextGen Interactive LLC and a mentor with the IGDA Foundation.  “Together, Trophy and the IGDA Foundation change that math. Studios get paid, brands get measured engagement, and the next generation gets a foot through the door.”
