Ultra Street Fighter IV Balance Changes Detailed

Ultra Street Fighter IV is all about adding a new characters and spicing up the movesets of existing ones all while making this final entry in the series the most balanced yet. To showcase some of these changes, Capcom have released a few videos of the more popular members of the roster detailing all their subtle changes and what new possibilities these changes bring about. There are videos for Ryu, M.Bison, Cammy, Evil Ryu, Gouken and Blanka. While we are sure more characters will get updates, it is unknown if Capcom will release these videos for each character.

Capcom also announced release dates for the upgrade today. Ultra Street Fighter IV is landing as a digital upgrade for Super Street Fighter IVand Arcade Edition owners on June 4th for PS3 and Xbox 360, with the same update being made available for PC in early Augus. Retail copies will be landing in stores on August 8th. Ultra Street Fighter IV will include 5 new characters, 6 new arenas and all the previous costume DLC. In Orc Attack: Flatulent Rebellion, Orcs have become victims of brutal Human expansion, as people are carelessly polluting the environment. Now, four trained Orc heroes are retaliating with a not-so-silent yet very deadly plan. In either single-player or up to four-player co-op, gamers will take on the role of Orcs, each wielding a unique gaseous ability, taking the fight to the Humans in a stinky, fart-filled romp.

Players will enjoy a variety of gameplay features, including two different gameplay modes: The Magic Mode, in which Orcs perform magical spells with devastating effects on their enemies; and The Dirty Mode, in which Orcs produce vile and dangerous gasses creating explosions and other devastating effects on their enemies.

São Paulo, Brazil – Through the dark art of video game publishing, Devolver Digital has teamed up with nom de plume Terri Vellimann and the surprisingly handsome musician Doseone (Samurai Gunn) to launch the procedurally generated FPS Heavy Bullets on Steam Early Access. The debut game from Brazilian developer Terri Vellimann is available now as a pretty damned polished beta and the community is invited to provide feedback and suggestions through the last two months of development. American musician/producer/rapper/gentleman Doseone is providing the score and sound design for Heavy Bullets and will be posting works in progress and streaming music sessions to give the community an insight into his process.

Heavy Bullets arms the player with a simple yet stylish revolver and six devastatingly plump bullets with the goal of resetting the security mainframe to restore order and reap the rewards of a job well done. To succeed in the game, players will need to move carefully and make smart use of their bullets, items, and the environment as rushing into new areas is the fastest way to get killed in the untamed wild of the neon corridors.

Starting in September 2013, developer Terri Vellmann launched the alpha version of Heavy Bullets on the TIGSource forums and has been updating the game based on feedback from a core group of players following the game. Now through the Steam Early Access period, Terri Vellmann will continue to integrate community feedback on gameplay, combat mechanics, and visual tweaks on a wider scale with a final launch planned for July 2014.

First Project from Square Enix’s Collective Platform Earns Support Through to the Crowdfunding Stage

LONDON, MONTREAL: Thursday May 15 – Square Enix Collective and Tuque Games are delighted to announce that World War Machine, the post-human action-RPG (Role Playing Game), has now entered the crowdfunding stage via the Collective partnership with Indiegogo. Collective is a curated platform that enables creators to post ideas, and gamers to judge whether those ideas should become reality or not.

Every idea that’s successful with the community is evaluated by Square Enix as part of a Team Assessment to confirm that the scope of the pitch and budget is in line with the team’s ability and ambition to create the game they’re aiming to make. Through a partnership with the world’s leading crowdfunding platform Indiegogo, projects with enough support from the community are then chosen by Collective to be supported through the crowdfunding stage, enabling gamers to back the ideas they love the most.

World War Machine was one of three projects to be involved in Collective’s pilot phase. It garnered an enthusiastic response, with over 90% of voters indicating that they would back the game through crowdfunding. The time to make the game a reality has arrived with a target of $50,000 over a 40-day period in order to finish the game and release on PC. Gamers can fund the project on Indiegogo now at http://igg.me/at/worldwarmachine.

“Since we first announced Collective last October, we’ve been working steadily towards this moment – the first funding campaign,” said Collective project lead Phil Elliott. “We’re really excited to reach this point, and humbled by the support shown from developers and gamers all over the world with what is a new concept. World War Machine certainly captured the attention of the community, and we were delighted to see people indicate support for the project – now they’ve got the chance to follow-up on that and help make something awesome.”

“Collective voters have overwhelmingly shown their interest in World War Machine with a 90% ‘yes’ vote. Now we get to prove the fans are right. Our prototype is already playable and fun, with backers able to get their hands on it if the campaign concludes successfully,” said Jeff Hattem, founder at Tuque Games. “We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished so far and hopefully fans of World War Machine will take this ride with us and help fully realize our vision.”

Before the funding campaign, Tuque Games underwent a Team Assessment from Collective, a process to assess the developer’s skills, experience and plans for use of funds. This was led by an experienced development director at Square Enix. While this is not a guarantee on the part of Square Enix that the developer will accomplish every goal they’ve set, it’s an indication that we believe they have the capability to deliver a finished product according to their stated aims.

New pitches are uploaded to the pre-funding feedback platform on Mondays, and since the full launch of Collective in April, ten new projects from teams in eight different countries have been published for the community to evaluate. EUTECHNYX’S AUTO CLUB REVOLUTION BEGINS NEW PHASE OF EVOLUTION IN JUNE 

Oculus Rift Support, Massively Expanded Content, and Re-engineered Graphics and Physics 

Gateshead, UK – May 15, 2014– Two years after Auto Club Revolution’s introduction on PC, Eutechnyx today unveiled details of how the free-to-play motorsport experience is entering a new era. Nothing less than a full remodelling, this “2.0” version of the game begins on June 16 with the launch of a Closed Beta to get feedback from its long-time members of the ACR community. Select new players in various regions worldwide will also be admitted in stages. Oculus Rift functionality is deep in development and is currently in early experimental tests – a full ACR game will be playable when the new VR hardware is released to initial backers this Fall.

“We’ve spent two years laying the foundation of an authentic community-driven game for fans of automotive culture. We have hundreds of thousands of players worldwide that motivate us to push the ACR experience even further, and now we are bringing the best ideas to fruition.” says Dave Thompson, Development Director of ACR.

Already featuring over 50 of the world’s leading manufactured cars like McLaren, BMW, Ford and Bentley, a wide range of new manufacturers and car models have been added to the virtual line-up (such as RUF and Maserati), new interiors are to be added to boost the stunning level of detail. Fresh bespoke audio and engine sounds have also been reproduced to deliver an authentic sound experience for full player immersion. Players will now be able to create a 360 degree garage to admire their collection. Vehicle physics have been overhauled to not only enhance realism but also competitive fun.

Accessibility has been a key emphasis of ACR 2.0 – now only a single download is needed to jump into the action and start interacting with the community.“Our new single client is designed to make a bigger and better splash, pushing the quality of content and integrating new technologies that will further enhance player interaction. We have exciting times ahead of us and we can’t wait to share it with all our players. We strive to deliver content players want by providing a first-class, free-to-play online racing experience however possible,” says Dave Thompson.
