Isometric Indie Soulslike Memoria Wake Debuts First Demo Today

Developers to exhibit at PAX West in Seattle

PITTSBURGH – 30 July, 2025 — Memoria Wake, the isometric soulslike set in a dream world from developer Team Crescendo, invites adventurers to take the first steps into its surreal world with the first playable demo on PC and Mac via Steam today, with the full game set for release in 2026. Team Crescendo will also appear at PAX West in Seattle from Friday, 29 Aug. to Monday, 1 Sept. to show off the game to the public.

Step into the nightmare realm as Nilo, who finds himself trapped in a dream with only fleeting memories of a lost friend trapped somewhere in the realm. Wielding an umbrella that can strike foes and parry blows, engage in smart, patient combat. Learn to dodge roll when needed and master enemy attack timing to get parries just right and gain energy to heal and use special weapons.

Take the first steps into a surreal world with two unique biomes in the demo: at first, a world full of living toys, like talking rubber ducks and giant teddy bears that need big sewing needles to be repaired. Then, step into a strange rundown university, where manifestations of Nilo’s unpleasant memories start to take shape…

Fight two of the planned twenty-plus bosses planned for the full game. Square off with a giant Feral Cat that uses its reflexes and size to leave no safe areas for Nilo. Learn to parry its attacks with odd timing and heal when needed. Then, fend off the Handler, whose two giant hands require keeping track of two different threats at once… beware to not roll into danger!

“This is a nervous moment for us, as it’s the first time we’ve let the general public go hands-on with our game,” said Hank Xu, founder of Team Crescendo. “But that doesn’t mean we’re not confident – we believe strongly in what we’ve made so far and feedback from the community will only make Memoria Wake better.”

Memoria Wake’s demo is available now on Steam for PC and Mac, with a planned release of 2026. Press and creators interested in speaking with Team Crescendo at PAX West can email [email protected] for further details.

For more information on Memoria Wake, wishlist the game on Steam, check out the game’s official website, join its Discord server, and follow Team Crescendo’s X / Twitter account and YouTube channel.

Dead by Daylight’s Iconic Roster Expands with the Addition of AMC’s The Walking Dead

Iconic Characters Rick, Michonne, and Daryl have Taken Their Place Within Horror Gaming’s Hall of Fame

MONTRÉAL – July 29, 2025 – Dead by Daylight’s banner year rolls on as the hit horror multiplayer game welcomes yet another game-changing franchise with AMC’s The Walking Dead. From intense character-driven narratives, to unrivalled world-building, to a knack for indelible cultural moments, The Walking Dead has been a staple of the horror landscape for the past 15 years. Now, Rick, Michonne, and Daryl (via Legendary Outfit) will step into The Fog to test their resolve in unimaginable new ways with Dead by Daylight: The Walking Dead, available now.

For both fans of the series and gamers alike, the inclusion of Rick, Michonne, and Daryl is about more than simply leaning in for the chance to play as these beloved characters. It’s about continuing their journeys in one of horror’s most brutal shared universes – one that celebrates their brand of survival and tension, while placing them alongside other timeless icons of the genre.

“Getting the chance to welcome these incredible characters that we all love into the Dead by Daylight universe is a huge thrill for us,” shared Dave Richard, Senior Creative Director on Dead by Daylight. “It’s rare that Survivors enter our game with an existing connection that runs this deep. Not only are they the perfect duo to take on The Entity’s Realm based on their skills and experiences, but they’ve also got this very unique relationship for two Dead by Daylight Survivors which we’re excited to represent.”

“The Walking Dead has given fans some of the most iconic survivors in all of horror,” said Clayton Neuman, VP of Games & Franchise at AMC. “We are thrilled to be partnering with Behaviour Interactive to put their survival skills to the test in The Fog. And I can state with confidence that the Entity is about to find out, it’s messing with the wrong people.”

Despite closing in on its 10-year anniversary, Dead by Daylight is arguably having one of its biggest years to date thanks to an outstanding run of franchises joining the game in 2025. After making a splash in Japan with the extremely popular Tokyo Ghoul Chapter, Dead by Daylight released its most requested, and best performing Chapter ever with Five Nights at Freddy’s. Now, the inclusion of The Walking Dead adds even more legendary characters to the game’s shared universe where Killers and Survivors from every corner of the horrorsphere collide.

Dead by Daylight: The Walking Dead is available now on all supported platforms.

40v40 squad-based tactical shooter ‘83 reimagines history with “Cold War Gone Hot” trailer

Rising Storm and Red Orchestra vets showcase period accurate conflict that could have been!

Cornwall, England July 29th, 2025 – Blue Dot Games are proud to reveal the latest trailer for ‘83, their upcoming 40v40 squad-based tactical first-person shooter set in an alternate 1983 where the Cold War escalated into an all-out warzone. Coming to Steam Early Access later this year, ‘83 is a spiritual successor to Rising Storm 2: Vietnam, which much of Blue Dot Worked on. This latest trailer, Cold War Gone Hot, shows off ‘83’s horrific “what if” scenario where players take the side of NATO or Warsaw Pact forces in sprawling, period accurate battles.

This offers the first look at the Fulda Gap map. Set in Germany between the Hesse-Thuringian border, the Fulda Gap was a strategically important region during the Cold War, as its two narrow corridors of lowlands offered the Warsaw Pact a potential path for its tanks to initiate a surprise attack. That makes it the perfect playground to enact this invasion that very well could have been.

‘83 puts players in the boots of a soldier in this shadow history, wherein massive 40v40 matches feature authentic Cold War-era weapons, vehicles and squad-based objectives. Coordinate with teammates, capture critical points and dominate the battlefield with smart tactics and teamwork.

‘83 was built on the idea of “accessible realism”, where the game is mindful of players’ time, while also offering an accurate portrayal of how a historical battle could play out. Matches average around 30-40 minutes, while dying only takes you out of the match for a short while, before allowing you to respawn. Don’t underestimate this seemingly low-stakes penalty, as that time-out is enough to turn the tide of battle since ‘83 requires thorough communication and teamwork, with Team Commanders guiding their faction through strategic organization and nail-biting calls.

Players can choose from a variety of roles: from frontline riflemen to vehicle operators and support units – each with their own loadouts and strategic value. ‘83 features era-authentic weapons and equipment with realistic handling and lethality, with each armament meticulously designed and animated according to its real life counterpart. Every weapon behaves in a realistic way, with barrels and suppressors overheating when rapid firing, machineguns require a stable surface for accuracy, and bullets don’t magically teleport in between magazines when you reload a half-empty one. ‘83’s focus on realism, coordination and large-scale immersion offers players a gritty, boots-on-the-ground experience in a world teetering on the edge of nuclear war!

If you’d like to get your hands on ‘83 early, sign up here for the alpha playtest!

“We love war games and our team consists of long-term veterans of the Red Orchestra, Rising Storm and Squad franchises with up to 17 years’ experience on each, and ‘83 is our most ambitious outing yet,” said Tony Gillham, CEO at Blue Dot Games. “We wanted to create a massive war game that captures the spirit and tactical nature of actual warfare with the accessibility and fun of a more casual game that doesn’t require such a huge time commitment to enjoy.”

About Blue Dot Games

Blue Dot Games is an independent game development studio consisting of industry veterans with a passion for immersive, tactically rich shooters. Known for their work on acclaimed titles such as Red Orchestra and Rising Storm, the team brings decades of combined experience in multiplayer game design, systems development, and historical authenticity.

In 2023, Blue Dot Games acquired the rights to ‘83 following the closure of its original developer, Antimatter Games. Since then, the team has led a full-scale revival and redevelopment of the project, building on its foundations with a clear creative vision and renewed technical direction.
