xbox-one-s-screenshot-001

Microsoft took to the stage during their E3 2016 press conference and kicked things off by announcing that they are indeed planning on releasing a slim version of Xbox One. The slim version will simply be called Xbox One S and will be priced at $299, the same as the console currently costs right now.

This new version of the console is described as being 40% smaller than the original Xbox One, will include a 2 terabyte hard-drive, support for 4K video, high dynamic range, a slightly modified “streamlined” controller, and a vertical stand. It is worth noting that it will not come with an input for the Kinect, meaning those who wish to use a Kinect with the slim version will need to purchase a separate attachment that has not been priced.

THE SUN RISES ON EARTH’S DAWN

THE SUN RISES ON EARTH’S DAWN

Deliver Civilization From Darkness This Autumn

Los Angeles, CA – June 13, 2016 – Video game publisher Rising Star Games today confirmed that it will bring Earth’s Dawn to PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, PC and Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, this fall. Developed by OneorEight and previously released in Japan under the name Earth Wars, Earth’s Dawn fuses frenetic side-scrolling action mechanics with RPG elements and a hard-edged manga aesthetic to deliver a deep and unique gameplay experience.

vlcsnap-2016-06-09-14h32m46s164.png

From the outset, Earth’s Dawn gives gamers the freedom to enjoy the game their way: from creating their own character, customization of skill trees to augment abilities best suited to play style, and weapon and equipment crafting, all alongside a unique narrative-driven branching mission system.

After decades of peace, the Earth was decimated by an invasion from an alien race known to humans as E.B.E. The E.B.E. moved across the planet, consuming anything in their path and proved impervious to existing weapons. Ahead of the impending annihilation a breakthrough was made – the E.B.E. was susceptible to damage by weaponry designed using its very own technology. The power to fight back was now in the hands of an elite fighting force.

Combat in Earth’s Dawn offers a huge amount of depth with a layered system that will appeal to both light and more hardened players. Basic attacks can easily be strung together to pull off combos, while tying these to the analogue stick will instigate launchers, aerials, and sliding attacks. Timing a dash during a combo will extend its length and finisher moves will dispatch enemies with flair. Players are evaluated after battles and ranked according to expertise and skill, and may then use the points awarded to enhance and level up their hero.

Join the fight for Earth’s survival this autumn, when Earth’s Dawn launches digitally on PlayStation®4 system, and Xbox One, and as a physical boxed version on PlayStation®4, with a PC version coming soon after.

HITMAN Summer Bonus Episode coming this July

COPENHAGEN, June 13, 2016 – Io-Interactive today confirms this summer will see the release of the Summer Bonus Episode for HITMAN on July 19th.

The Summer Bonus Episode consists of two separate ICA missions which catalogue Agent 47’s first trips to both Sapienza and Marrakesh. This Episode is not part of the story arc of HITMAN, being previous ICA missions they are set apart from the main story.

The Icon
When the town of Sapienza is taken over by a film crew shooting a new sci-fi blockbuster. Agent 47 must aim to retire one of the cast members during a climactic scene being staged late at night in the town square.

A House Built on Sand
Set at the frenetic night markets in Marrakesh, a mole for a major construction company is about to sell secrets to their largest rivals. Agent 47 is tasked with making sure the leak stops there.

“We’ve created not one, but two missions for the Summer Bonus Episode and players will revisit the hugely popular Sapienza and Marrakesh locations with a completely different feel,”  said Hannes Seifert, Studio Head at Io-Interactive.  “It allows us to show what we can do with HITMAN as a live game – we even introduced a crazy giant killer robot, but it’s also the perfect midway point in the HITMAN season before the final three locations.”

The Summer Bonus Episode will present players with a range of new in-game Challenges and Opportunities that will keep them busy along with an entirely new setting for Escalation Contracts and Elusive Targets.

HITMAN began with a Prologue and Paris location in March, continued with Episode 2: Sapienza in April, Episode 3: Marrakesh in May and now the Summer Bonus Episode: The Icon & A House Built on Sand in July before the final three locations; Thailand, the United States and the season finale in Japan arrive later in 2016.

Berserk Musou Game Revealed by Omega Force

berserk-musou-logo

Those who are familiar with the manga series Berserk are more than likely familiar with how bloody and vicious the series can be at times. As such it makes sense that when Omega Force teased a game that would be their “most brutal title in Musou history” that the reveal ends up being a game designed around Berserk. Currently very little is known about the game but Koei Tecmo has officially announced with a teaser trailer that Berserk (Working Title) is heading for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PS Vita, and PC.

Those familiar with the series will recognize the moment that is being shown in the teaser trailer and will likely be wondering just how far Omega Force and Koei Tecmo will be willing to go with the game.

The same source who has leaked information such as ReCore‘s release date and screenshots as well as Dead Rising 4‘s screenshots is back once again with yet another leak for an announcement that will likely be happening a bit later today during Microsoft’s E3 2016 press conference. This leak comes in the form of a screenshot and a piece of artwork for a zombie themed game that unfortunately was not given a name during the leak.

state-of-decay-2-leak-002

Judging from the appearance of the first image it seems that it may be related to Undead Labs’ State of Decay and might just be a sequel to the game. Obviously this can all be taken with a grain of salt for now until Microsoft‘s E3 2016 press conference today at 9:30 a.m. PDT / 12:30 p.m. EDT.
