The King of Fighters XIV Premium Edition Revealed for North America

Atlus USA has announced that they will be offering a special premium edition of The King Of Fighters XIV when it is released in North America to go along with the basic release. This “Burn to Fight” Premium Edition is priced at $79.99 instead of the standard $59.99 and comes with a number of bonuses that are described below:

  • SteelBook– The game disc will be encased in a collectible SteelBook® emblazoned with the series’ fiery mainstay, Kyo Kusanagi, literally burning to fight.
  • Art book – This 144-page art book will be filled with original character/stage drawings from throughout the series.
  • 3-Disc Soundtrack – Those looking for an audio fix will be able to enjoy a three-disc soundtrack (housed in a gorgeous Mai Shiranui illustrated case) comprised of 60+ electric songs worthy of the greatest fighting tournament in the world.
  • Collector’s Box – All the above items will be packaged in a scorching box adorned with familiar characters.

As for the game itself, The King Of Fighters XIV is set to be released on the PlayStation 4 in North America on August 23rd, in Japan on August 25th, and finally in Europe on August 26th. To go along with this news the company also released a new team battle trailer with this one focusing on team Fatal Fury.

‘The Boy and the Beast’ Wins Best Animation of the Year at the JMC Awards

Mamoru Hosoda’s latest anime film The Boy and The Beast has won the Best Animation of the Year award at the Japan Movie Critics Awards. These are the 25th annual Japan Movie Critics Awards.

Mamoru Hosoda previously won the same award in 2013 with his film Wolf ChildrenThe Boy and the Beast has also won multiple other awards and was nominated for more.

The film premiered with the English dub in North American cinemas earlier this year on March 4. It premiered in Australia on March 3. The English dub was produced in close consultation with Mamoru Hosoda. FUNimation Entertainment is releasing the film on home video in North America on June 7. Madman Entertainment’s Australian home video release will follow on July 6.

New Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands Trailer Out ahead of E3

With E3 2016 is fast approaching, Ubisoft released a brand new trailer for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands ahead of the year’s biggest gaming convention. The new video gives players a look at the life the members of the Ghosts live: one of adventure, secrecy, and adrenaline.

The latest addition to the long running Ghost Recon franchise brings the team to Bolivia, where the Santa Blanca drug cartel has turned the country into its own drug-fueled fiefdom. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands will be an open world game with the decisions players make affecting the entire world. The game supports up to four players in co-op mode, allowing teams to strike from the shadows to wreak havoc upon the Santa Blanca, and then melt back into the wilderness.

Ubisoft has also announced the following premium editions of the game ahead of E3.

The Deluxe Edition available for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands in retail and digital stores contains the Standard Edition and the digital Deluxe Pack which includes: the Huntsman rifle and motorbike, 3 emblems, 3 weapon camos, 3 character customization items and an XP booster. The physical version of this edition will also include 2 extra physical items: an in-game map of Bolivia and the original soundtrack of the game.

The Gold Edition available in retail and digital stores which includes the Season Pass, giving players access to two major expansions as well as exclusive digital content featuring equipment packs, an exclusive vehicle and epic weapons, and the digital Deluxe Pack.

The Calavera Collector’s Case, exclusive to Uplay Shop, comes with all the equipment to operate as a Ghost plunged deep dive into Bolivia to take down the vicious Santa Blanca cartel. May 27, 2016 – Larkspur, Calif. — Codemasters® and Koch Media today announced F1™ 2016, the official videogame of the 2016 FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP™. The new title will include the most immersive career mode ever featured in the franchise. F1 2016 will release onto PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One and Windows PC (DVD and via Steam) this summer.

F1 2016’s new career mode will take drivers deeper into the world’s most glamorous, exciting and prestigious motorsport, both on and off the track. The life-like recreation of the sport will be further enhanced by the addition of the sport’s iconic Safety Car and Virtual Safety Car, as well as the introduction of the challenging new street circuit in Baku, Azerbaijan for the 2016 FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX OF EUROPE.

“F1 2016 is a massive step forward for the franchise,” said Lee Mather, principal games designer at Codemasters. “The new career mode sits at the heart of the game and allows gamers to create their own legend over a career that can span for up to a massive ten seasons. In the new career mode players select an avatar to represent them within the game world as well as choosing a number to take with them through their career. They are then free to choose from any of the FORMULA ONE teams, all with different goals and expectations. It may be more challenging to start further down the grid, but it will also be easier to exceed team expectations. Players can earn contracts and move from team to team, or choose to develop their favourite team into a championship contender.

To complement the on-track experience, and to expand the realism of the Career mode, F1 2016 includes stunning hospitality areas for each team that act as the player’s game hub. In this area they will work with their Research and Development Engineer and Player Agent to develop their progress both on and off the track. To further enhance the immersion, players will also be able to spot other key figures from the paddock within the hospitality areas.

In what is already a very exciting season, the 2016 season sees Azerbaijan become the latest addition to the FORMULA ONE calendar, with capital city Baku playing host to what could very well be the fastest street circuit of the season. Early screenshots show off the new time of day editor which allows players to dramatically customise the visuals of the race experience. The brand-new Haas F1 Team makes their debut in the 2016 FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP, and in the process become the first all-American-led F1 team in three decades.

The second Elusive Target, The Congressman is now live in Sapienza across all platforms.A briefing video is available online and in-game to help players determine the approximate location of the target. Players will need to own HITMAN Episode 2: Sapienza in order to access this content.

Elusive Targets are part of the live content being published for HITMAN in-between episodes and represent a new game mode debuting for players. They are not going to be easy but if you can prove yourself, you’ll earn in-game rewards for completing multiple Elusive Target contracts. You will receive the first reward, the signature suit from Hitman: Absolution for successfully completing 5 Elusive Target contracts. Complete 10 Elusive Target contracts to receive the signature suit from Blood Money. Future rewards will include versions of those suits with gloves.

The Elusive Targets are specially crafted, unique targets, which come with particular rules:
·         An Elusive Target is a once in a lifetime experience
·         They are available for a limited time only in game – this first Elusive Target will last 48 hours
·         Intel on the target will be limited
·         They will not appear in instinct mode, or the mini map and their locations will not be revealed to you – you’ll have to go and find them
·         Plan accordingly before you engage your target
·         Your target can only die once
·         If you die during the mission, that’s it
·         When the time runs out, they are gone for good
·         If you fail, there are no second chances

New Deadpool Mural to Celebrate DVD Launch

To celebrate the release of the Deadpool movie on DVD, 20th Century FOX have commissioned an election campaign mural for Deadpool’s ‘No Pants Party’. In true Deadpool style, the political party’s platform largely revolves around making various phallic jokes and sharing an intense love of chimichangas. The new mural can be found on the side of a building on the corner of Albion and Burke St in Surry Hills and features Deadpool’s vandalism of fake Australian Liberal party and Labor Party campaign posters.
