Gambitious Digital Entertainment to Publish Vile Monarch’s Oh…Sir! The Insult Simulator on Windows PC, iOS, Android, Mac and Linux

Remake of the irreverent roasting game adds single-player challenges, cross-platform online multiplayer and more when it arrives later this summer

AMSTERDAM – Aug. 11, 2016 – Gambitious Digital Entertainment has announced it is partnering with independent developer Vile Monarch to release the competitive insult dueling game Oh…Sir! The Insult Simulator on multiple platforms later this summer.

Oh…Sir! The Insult Simulator is a full-fledged remake of the original Oh…Sir! – created by Vile Monarch in 42 hours during the amJam game jam and released for free on Steam in 2015. This new title delivers even greater depth and variety to its chutzpah with fan-requested features like single-player gameplay, cross-platform online multiplayer, improved voice acting and special effects, tons of new insults and more.

Inspired by the infamous “Dead Parrot Sketch” from Monty Python’s Flying Circus, Oh…Sir! The Insult Simulator’s cleverly contentious battle system challenges players to create long-winded combos of verbal insolence to fling at opponents. There are five comically quarrelsome characters from which to choose, each featuring their own unique voices, quirks and jokes, as well as four distinctly cantankerous conflict scenarios.

Oh…Sir! The Insult Simulator is expected to launch later this summer with cross-platform online multiplayer for Windows PC, Mac, Linux, and iOS and Android devices. For the latest updates until then, please visit www.gambitious.com, and follow the teams on Twitter: @GambitiousInc and @VileMonarch.

INITIAL TRACKS AND GROUNDBREAKING EIGHT-PLAYER MIC SUPPORT HEADLINE FIRST DETAILS REVEALED FOR WE SING

We Sing Productions, Formed by Nordic Games, Wired Productions and Le Cortex, Aims to Deliver the Ultimate Music Singing Experience

LONDON — August 11, 2016 — Interactive music collaboration We Sing Productions, a joint enterprise between Wired Productions, Nordic Games and Le Cortex, is happy to announce today that the top-selling, award-winning karaoke game series We Sing is back, and it’s bigger and better than ever before.

Headed to the PlayStation® 4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft later this year, We Sing builds on the success of the original series for Nintendo Wii, which set the bar for being the only music game to support group singing with up to four microphones.  This next generation version of We Sing will offer support for up to eight mics, and will feature 30 of the hottest and most iconic hits along with a host of cutting edge technology and gameplay experiences for the music singing category.

In We Sing, players can sing together or go solo, climbing to the top of the online leaderboards to become the star they were born to be. We Sing features all original artist recordings along with their official music videos.  The game’s unique eight mic support enables players to use their smartphones as an additional mic with the free We Sing Mic companion app in addition to using a We Sing certified mic for a truly authentic studio experience.

Featuring the international number one smash hit “Dancing Queen” by Abba and the late great David Bowie’s iconic classic “Let’s Dance”, the full We Sing track list, to be announced in the coming weeks, encompasses the biggest songs from across five decades including recent hits DNCE’s “Cake By The Ocean,” “Stitches” by Shawn Mendes, “Chandelier” by Sia, and “See You Again” by Wiz Khalifa feat. Charlie Puth.  More tracks along with exciting game features will be revealed as We Sing Productions readies the game’s worldwide launch, later this year.

“We’re delighted to bring We Sing to a new audience, building on the tenants that made the original series a resounding success,” said Alasdair Hibberd, Product Manager for We Sing games.  “Our new We Sing game has been built from the ground up, utilizing the Unreal 4 engine alongside the highest calibre of audio technologies, including the KaraEngine™ to deliver an immersive experience, for the next generation of gamers.”

“Our intentions for We Sing are lofty.  Having the significant support and expanding strength of Nordic Games to begin this journey with a brand new console title puts us in a great place to start this most excellent of musical adventures,” added Nik Blower, franchise director, Nordic Games.

Today’s news follows the announcement of We Sing Productions, the joint interactive music collaboration formed earlier this year between Nordic Games, Wired Productions and Le Cortex.  All three companies collaborated on the original series, bringing together over 150 combined years of experience and expertise in creating titles featuring high-profile intellectual properties from the music industry.

Key Features of We Sing:

  • Sing your heart out to the hottest hits from the biggest artists – including original recordings and HD videos from across five decades
  • Connect up to four USB microphones and download the free We Sing Mic app (available for iOS and Android devices) to sing with up to eight friends simultaneously
  • Sing with friends or rock it solo to top the online leaderboards and become a star
  • Featuring six game modes, including We Sing mode to sing and score together, and Sing-Off mode to compete individually
  • Sing along with your favorite artists or dive into a true karaoke experience with the original instrumental recordings
  • Turn your console into a music channel and watch every song’s music video in Jukebox Mode
  • Turn up the heat and show off your perfect pitch with We Sing’s three difficulty settings
  • Create and save playlists of your favorite tracks for future and non-stop play
  • Gameplay powered by the KaraEngine™ for ultra-accurate pitch detection
  • Studio quality audio pipeline allows players to hear the music the way it was meant to sound
  • Explore a dynamic 3D user interface with audio effects and choose the songs to sing from the dynamic carousel
  • Anti-cheat and auto-lag detection systems
  • Game built in the Unreal Engine® 4
  • English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese language support

We Sing will be available to play at Gamescom in Cologne.  Stop by and show us your best performance at the Nordic Games Booth C20, Hall 8.

Fractured Space Celebrates Summer Games with ‘Olympian’ Update & PAX West News as Beta Launch Nears

Fractured Space Celebrates Summer Games with ‘Olympian’ Update & PAX West News as Beta Launch Nears

New Update Gives Players New Freedoms, 2x More Sectors and Summer Games National Flag Skins; Press Are Invited to Play Fractured Space at PAX!

Guildford, August 11, 2016 – Edge Case Games, developers of the team-based space combat game, Fractured Space, today announced the game’s Alpha 18 update, code-named ‘Olympian’, is now live. This is the game’s last planned major update before the game’s beta launch this fall when the game is scheduled to exit Early Access on Steam. To mark the game’s progression, the studio further announced that Fractured Space will be exhibited at PAX West in Seattle from September 2–5, with media and community members invited to attend and play.

With the update, players can celebrate the games of summer with a new freeform tech tree, new sectors, a new game mode, a new ship and new patriotic ship skins that allow players to show their support for their national sports teams. Captains can root for their country’s Summer Games team with US, UK, French, German and Russian national flag skins on offer—or Jolly Roger pirate flag for those with a mischievous streak—as seen in the “World Games” update video released today. Edge Case Games will be tracking results by flag and will let players know who is racking up the most wins!

The game’s tech tree has been revamped to let players assemble their ship fleet without restrictions. All ships in Fractured Space are designed to have equal value, with well-rounded, easy to play ships for new players, and extremely specialized, hard to play ships available for veterans. Previously, there was a manufacturer XP-based progression with easier to play ships being followed by more difficult to master ships. Now, any ship can be unlocked without having to unlock previous ships. As before, all ships can be purchased with earned credits or Platinum premium currency and all ships can be battle tested on the Firing Range before purchase to ensure they suit the player’s style.

Two new sector maps join the game’s original alpha and beta sectors—which have also been updated—so players can discover new battle strategies and environments. The first, a forest of vertical angular structures orbiting a binary planet offers numerous hiding spots, making it a great place for ambushes and skirmishes. The second takes players to a tightly packed asteroid field where mines are flanked on both sides by cover, making pushing toward the enemy forward base a daunting task.

The new TDS Executioner ship available with the update represents an evolution in fast strike tactics for captains who favor a finisher role. With a brutal Gauss Cannon and the unique Blink Back utility that allows the ship to instantly jump a certain distance in any direction, the ship is a close quarters, knockout specialist with poor general mobility balanced against its devastating single-strike capability—as demonstrated in the Executioner Ship Guide video.

Additionally, showing the team’s commitment to Open Development where new features are shared with the community, the game’s new Experimental Mode will launch later this month. This mode will offer a weekly play test of fun new features such as massively increased ship speeds, double damage or other trial ideas to let players experience one-off changes that may someday be implemented in the game. Game stats during Experimental Mode matches are not stored so players can experiment and have fun with no consequences.

More details on the update can be found in the Alpha 18 patch notes.

From September 2–5, Fractured Space will be exhibited at the sold-out PAX West gaming show in Seattle.

  • Mui Mui: Mui Mui hails from the Dragon Gal Pachinko games. She uses kung fu to help Nakoruru and Love Heart chase down an otherworldly being who will be headed to the tournament.
  • Love Heart: Love Heart is a Sky Love Pachinko series pirate captain who regularly fights against the Skull Pirates, first to avenge her father’s death and later to protect the world from villainous powers. She’s a sword fighter who’s lending her abilities to aid her team.

GAIJIN ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES NAVAL BATTLES FOR WAR THUNDER

GAIJIN ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES NAVAL BATTLES FOR WAR THUNDER

Naval Battles Launches in Closed Beta Later This Year with “Knights of the sea”

(MOSCOW, RUSSIAN FEDERATION) – August 11, 2016 – Gaijin Entertainment today announced the forthcoming start of closed beta for Naval Battles, the highly sought after combat mode in War Thunder, its award-winning MMO WWII online game with first exclusive hands-on at this year’s Gamescom. The inclusion of Naval Battles will provide fans with the ability to battle from the land, sea and air.

The participants of naval battle’s upcoming closed beta will be called the “Knights of the Sea”. Made up of torpedo, artillery and missile boats, coast guard vessels and submarine chasers, they are the so-called “small” naval contingent that served in all oceanic theatres of World War 2.

“The high level of realism is one of the key design features of War Thunder. Vehicles are as close to their real life counterparts as possible. Classic large ship battles during the war were contests of patience and planning, where engagements could last from several hours to several days. In War Thunder, where all kinds of vehicles fight in one battle and players can control aircraft, tanks and ships, it is not possible to change the size of the ships or make time run faster, as everything needs to remain consistent.

Our internal testing showed that battles with large battleships were too long and slow or required design changes that made ships entirely unrealistic. For this reason, we are leading with fast attack-based craft, which are rarely reproduced in games. Ships, that are more suitable for the formula of our game. These fast, agile and dangerous “Knights of the Sea” are worthy contenders for aircraft and tanks on the ground” – says creative director Kirill Yudintsev, Gaijin Entertainment.

All nations in War Thunder will get naval forces. Invited players and those who purchase one of two Starter packs with unique ships, will be able to join the closed testing as soon as the testing phase begins later this year.

The first Starter Pack includes a Soviet Project 1124 Armored River Boat. The T-34 turret and two 12.7mm machine guns allow the gunboat to efficiently eliminate enemy ships and low-flying aircraft; but the main destructive power of the Project 1124 lies in her M-13-M1 unguided rocket launcher, the legendary Katyusha.
The second starter pack includes the famous American PT-109, a motor torpedo boat on which the future US President John F. Kennedy served and performed acts of wartime heroism. During one of the operations the boat was subjected to a surprise ram attack from the Japanese destroyer, Amagiri. Despite a serious back injury, Lieutenant Kennedy acted wisely and decisively, saving all ten surviving crew members. In War Thunder, this boat is a fast and maneuverable ship destroyer. Her four torpedoes, each weighing almost 1,200 kg, come in handy for destroying large naval targets. Both ships will be available at the start of closed beta testing.

The first to take part in the naval battles of War Thunder will be the visitors of Gamescom 2016. In the game booth in Hall 6, Gaijin Entertainment has organized a special closed area, where guests can try their hand as captains of attack boats. For those unable to visit the exhibition, there will be a special video broadcast from the official Twitch booth and new devblog updates each day, where developers of the game will talk about the new regime, present ships of different nations and run giveaways of closed beta access codes for the viewers.

NEW POKÉMON—WISHIWASHI, PYUKUMUKU, MORELULL AND MORE ALOLAN POKÉMON VARIANTS—REVEALED FOR POKÉMON SUN AND POKÉMON MOON!

NEW POKÉMON—WISHIWASHI, PYUKUMUKU, MORELULL AND MORE ALOLAN POKÉMON VARIANTS—REVEALED FOR POKÉMON SUN AND POKÉMON MOON!

New details about Alola region ruffians Team Skull also announced

London, United Kingdom —August 11, 2016— The Pokémon Company International and Nintendo announced several new Pokémon and characters that can be found in the highly anticipated Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon video games, available exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS family of systems. These Pokémon appear in the newest Pokémon video games, launching in Europe on November 23.

Team Skull
In the Alola region, a group of ruffians known as Team Skull causes a lot of trouble. They steal other people’s Pokémon, mess up the trial sites, and delight in all kinds of evil deeds.

Team Skull Boss: Guzma
Guzma is the boss of Team Skull, the one who holds these ruffians together. Guzma pours on the attacks, battling without mercy. He certainly does seem strong, but he claims that he “never could become captain.” He seems to have a bone to pick with Professor Kukui, as well.

Team Skull Admin: Plumeria
Plumeria is considered the big sister of Team Skull. She’s a tough lady who keeps the members of Team Skull in line and working together, in the sort of way a strict older sister would. She seems to care for the Grunts who are below her in the pecking order, and she’s not one to let it go if anyone gives them a walloping.

Team Skull Grunts
Both male and female Team Skull Grunts wear matching black Skull Tanks. And these uniforms aren’t even provided for them—all Grunts have to buy their own!

The newly revealed Pokémon include:

Wishiwashi
Type: Water
Wishiwashi have a new Ability, Schooling, which no Pokémon has previously had. Under certain conditions, Wishiwashi will change in battle to their School Form.

·         Solo Form
A single Wishiwashi is tiny and weak. Measuring just eight inches from nose to tail, Wishiwashi is very small, even for a Pokémon. Yet the people of the Alola region seem to view it as a terrifying Pokémon. When it’s in danger, Wishiwashi’s glistening eyes catch the light and shine out, sending a distress signal to its allies.

·         School Form
The seemingly weak Wishiwashi is called the demon of the sea because of its ferocious School Form. When Wishiwashi receive a distress signal, they unite in a huge battle formation.

Pyukumuku
Type: Water
Due to their appearance and way of life, Pyukumuku are considered unappealing to tourists. Part-time work pulling Pyukumuku off the beach and chucking them back into the sea is available at tourist beaches. But no matter how far they’re thrown, Pyukumuku will always return to the same spot. Pyukumuku have a new Ability, Innards Out, which no other Pokémon has had before. When this Pokémon faints, Innards Out lets it dish out a final bit of damage to its opponent, equal to the amount of HP it had left before it received the final blow.

Morelull
Type: Grass/Fairy
Morelull are nocturnal Pokémon that walk around at night on their leg-like roots. They move because staying in one spot and sucking all the nutrients from the soil would cause surrounding plants to wither. With their roots, they make contact with other Morelull and communicate with one another.

Pokémon Adapted to the Alola Region
Some Pokémon have adapted to the distinctive microclimates of the Alola region and have taken on different forms than they have in other regions. These Pokémon are called regional variants. After settling in the Alola region, they live like native Pokémon. These regional variant Pokémon can have different appearances and types, and their way of living can also differ from that of the forms previously known.

Alolan Meowth
Type: Dark
Meowth is a Pokémon that did not originally live in the Alola region. They were sent to the royal family of Alola as an offering from another region, and only a select few could have them as partners. It’s said that the Meowth that were offered to the royalty lived a life of luxury and pampering, which led them to have a selfish and prideful attitude. This caused Meowth’s form to change.

Alolan Marowak
Type: Fire/Ghost
The Marowak in the Alola region take bones and light both ends on fire by rubbing them against their foreheads. Then they spin the bones around! Marowak’s rarity and its fearsome appearance when it dances with its bone led the people of Alola to dub it a conjurer and regard it with fear.

Alolan Raichu
Type: Electric/Psychic
The Raichu in Alola have two types—Electric and Psychic—and they are able to wield psychic power. What’s more, they can gather their psychic power in their tails and then ride on them to float in the air!

A new trailer that showcases these new Pokémon and much more can be found here: https://youtu.be/06bSt8nPLeg
