Nioh-screenshot-(48)

Koei Tecmo has shed a bit more light on the downloadable demo that will be released for Nioh on August 23rd on the PlayStation Store and will be playable until September 6th. This beta demo is the follow up to the Alpha demo earlier this year and features a number of changes that the company has made according to fan feedback. The first stage of the demo will feature new challenges and another chance to unlock the “Mark of the Conqueror” DLC. If you already cleared the Alpha demo then you will be given a new set of weapons and money to start this time around and be able to play through the brand new Nakatsu stage without having to go through Usuki first.

The new Nakatsu stage leads protagonist William along a treacherous mountain path to a deep cave, where he must prevail against human and supernatural enemies alike—including the seductive Hinoenma, a dangerous Yokai under the guise of a beautiful woman. Defeating the Nakatsu stage will award players with the Mark of the Strong DLC, which will be available when the game launches. Those who manage to make it all the way through the demo will be able to revisit older stages through Twilight missions where stronger and brand new enemies await them and try out a variety of new weapons such as a long-ranged hand cannon, plenty of new katanas, a variety of other melee weapons, and even some new Onmyo Magic and Ninjustu elements.

Follow the voice, the deep red voice. Wires. Deep in the skull. Deep in your memory. Deep in your pain. You must… ‘…relax…’ …search. The blackest of memories. The darkest of truths. Deep in your mind. You’ve already lost… Can you still find grace? The clock is tricking. ‘…It’s all part of the treatment.’

Creating immersion through an unparalleled dive into 3D acoustics thanks to the support of the cutting-edge Auro-3D technology from Auro Technologies, Get Even challenges you to question your understanding of justice and reality. KOEI TECMO EUROPE REVEALS NEW DETAILS ON DOWNLOADBLE BETA DEMO FOR HIGHLY-ANTICIPATED SAMURAI ACTION RPG, NIOH

KOEI TECMO EUROPE REVEALS NEW DETAILS ON DOWNLOADBLE BETA DEMO FOR HIGHLY-ANTICIPATED SAMURAI ACTION RPG, NIOH

New, Action-packed Trailer Showcases New Environments, New Weapons, and New Vile and Daunting Foes in Upcoming Demo, Available From the 23rd August until the 6th September

Hertfordshire, 17th August 2016 – KOEI TECMO Games today sheds light onto the dark and beautiful world of samurai action RPG Nioh from Gamescom 2016, revealing new information on the contents of the game’s second downloadable demo exclusively for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system. The Beta Demo will be available via the PlayStation® Store from the 23rd August until the 6th September, after which time the demo will be disabled. Players will have a second—and final—chance to obtain the special, to-be-revealed Mark of the Conqueror DLC, as well as a chance at the all-new Mark of the Strong DLC.

Following the overwhelming success of the Alpha Demo in April—as well as the community’s generous feedback—the Nioh Beta Demo will incorporate a number of gameplay changes made with fans in mind, which will be immediately noticeable upon their return to the village of Usuki. This first stage of the demo will offer new challenges and the opportunity to once again fight for the mysterious Mark of the Conqueror DLC. Warriors who conquered Usuki and procured the DLC during the Alpha Demo won’t be left wanting, however, as they will receive a set of weapons and more starting money. These champions will also have the opportunity to play through the new Nakatsu stage without having to clear Usuki again.

The experience gained from the trials of Usuki and Nakatsu should equip the most skilled players for an even more challenging undertaking: the Twilight mission. In this arduous mission, players can re-visit Usuki or Nakatsu, battle against stronger enemies and new fearsome creatures, and earn highly-valued items.

The Beta Demo will also feature a selection of new weapons, including the long-range hand cannon rifle and a fresh selection of Katanas (including dual-wielded Katanas), Spears, Axes and Hammers which will provide new options to suit any gameplay style. In addition, players will get a taste of Onmyo magic and Ninjutsu elements of combat, which add bonuses to William’s attack and can invoke special techniques to provide various effects.

Lastly, to better prepare players for the trials that await, a Training Dojo has been added to the demo. This tutorial stage has been implemented to teach newcomers how to fight with a katana, the most basic yet refined of weapon choices, and how to navigate through the game. The Training Dojo will be available from the beginning of the demo.

To better whet fans’ appetites in the week remaining till the demo becomes available from the PlayStation®Store Koei Tecmo has released a series of images taken directly from the Beta demo, a selection of character art illustrating the beautiful and dangerous enemies William has to face, and a brand new, fast paced, action trailer brimming with fresh content and intense scenes!

Scheduled for launch in 2016, Nioh is in development exclusively for the PS4™ system. Frederick Barbarossa leads Germany in Civilization VI

Frederick Barbarossa leads Germany in Civilization VI

2K and Firaxis Games today revealed that Frederick Barbarossa will lead Germany in Sid Meier’s Civilization VI, launching on Oct 21st for Windows PC.

The charismatic Frederick Barbarossa served as the King of Germany and Holy Roman Emperor for nearly 40 years. Using strong organizational skills and military intellect, Barbarossa adeptly sought peace in Germany while helming six expeditions into Italy in defiance of papal authority.

Barbarossa assimilated several Italian city-states, ultimately claiming direct Imperial control before settling peacefully with the opposition. In 1180 he looked inward, deposing Henry the Lion, one of the most powerful German princes of the time, and proclaimed peace throughout the Empire.

Despite tensions with the church and his advanced age, Barbarossa answered the call of the Third Crusade, perishing in his campaign. His heroism earned him legendary status in German folklore, in which it is said he sleeps in the Kyffhauser Mountain and will return to bring Germany to a golden age.

SKYLANDERS IMAGINATORS UNLEASHES KAOS AT GAMESCOM 2016

SKYLANDERS IMAGINATORS UNLEASHES KAOS AT GAMESCOM 2016

All-New Crash Bandicoot Level Reveals Dr. Neo Cortex, Crash Bandicoot’s Archnemesis, as Skylander Guest Star

Videogame Supervillains Kaos and Dr. Neo Cortex Arrive as Fully-Playable Skylanders Senseis Toys This Fall! Free Kaos Toy with Pre-Order and Purchase of Starter Pack!

SYDNEY, Australia. – Aug. 17, 2016 – Portal Masters be on the lookout this October! Activision Publishing, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision Blizzard, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATVI) is bringing more content and characters to Skylanders® Imaginators– the game lets fans unleash their imaginations like never before in a Skylanders game. Starting today, the villains of Skylands are taking over Gamescom and revealing an all-new dedicated Crash Bandicoot® level, Thumpin’ Wumpa Islands, to fans. Leading the charge is Skylands’ most notorious villain Kaos, who along with the help of new guest star Skylander, Dr. Neo Cortex are sure to add more fun to players’ imagination-to-life gameplay experience. Both supervillains are joining the line-up of Skylanders Sensei characters as fully-playable toys in Skylanders Imaginators, and Kaos will available for free to fans who pre-order and purchase a Skylanders Imaginators starter pack.

“From the moment we received the first fan art, we knew Skylanders was unique in its ability to fuel kids’ imaginations. With Skylanders Imaginators’ powerful character creation tools, we can’t wait to see what amazing Skylanders our fans will bring to life,” said Paul Reiche, president and co-founder, Toys For Bob. “Now fans can create more characters than there are stars in the known universe. These Imaginators join a strong line-up of Sensei characters which include fan-favourite villains, now reformed and fighting for good!”

In Australia/New Zealand, fans who pre-order and/or purchase the Skylanders Imaginators Starter Pack at launch will receive a playable Kaos Sensei toy for free, while supplies last.

With Kaos having discovered the power of Mind Magic to create Doomlanders, one of his first creations was none other than a clone of himself! Figuring that no one in the universe, including the Skylanders, could ever stand up to more than one Kaos, he unleashed his clone in his quest to take over Skylands. But to Kaos’ surprise, the clone – also being Kaos – wanted victory for himself! As a result, he fights against his creator, in turn helping the Skylanders in their endeavour to defeat the real Kaos!

At Gamescom, Skylanders Imaginators will introduce fans to the return of Dr. Neo Cortex as a Sensei Skylander and reveal an all-new level, Thumpin’ Wumpa Islands, that’s steeped in nostalgic Crash Bandicoot gameplay. The level includes special Crash Zones that bring back the classic massive boulder chases from the original games. And, as with any Skylanders level, there are secrets and hidden areas all along the way. In paying homage to this iconic character on his 20th anniversary, the level is packed with TNT boxes, crabs, hazards, temple ruins, Wumpa Fruit, exploding crates and many more elements from the original Crash. But it all takes place in the Skylands – which means a new twist of Skylanders combat and action brought into the world of the Wumpa Islands.

“You can’t have Crash Bandicoot as a guest star Skylander without his arch-nemesis, Dr. Neo Cortex,” said Jen Oneal, studio head, Vicarious Visions. “We approached the level as a way for us to bring the best parts of Skylanders and the best parts of Crash together into one epic adventure. Players are going to enjoy how we’ve honoured the heritage of traditional Crash games in the musically-themed, TNT crate-filled level. For fans of Crash this is going to feel like going back to the old world of Crash Bandicoot — but in gorgeous 1080p.”

In the game, a “Synchronization Celebration” has aligned the world of Skylands with the Wumpa Islands. Upon arriving, Spyro and Mags discover that Dr. Neo Cortex (voiced by Lex Lang) has created a terrible machine to harness the rhythmic power of the island’s celebration for his newest evil scheme! When the machine goes awry, something occurs that throws the whole party out of sync. Crash (voiced by Jess Harnell) must team up with the Skylanders and his old enemy Neo Cortex to restore the celebration before the Wumpa Islands are syncopated right out of existence!

The Thumpin’ Wumpa Islands level will be available to players who purchase the Skylanders Imaginators Starter Pack featuring Crash Bandicoot for PlayStation consoles at launch. The level will also be available to all platforms via purchase of the Skylanders Imaginators Thumpin’ Wumpa Islands Adventure Pack this holiday for the suggested retail price of AUD$39.95. The Skylanders Imaginators Thumpin’ Wumpa Islands Adventure pack also will include Crash Bandicoot and Dr. Neo Cortex as fully playable toys.

Last but not least, Portal Masters will soon be able to collect Imaginite Mystery Chests. These chests will unlock new creation pieces, such as gear, weapons, and parts for players’ Imaginator characters.

Skylanders Imaginators immense possibilities empowers players to unleash their imaginations by giving them the freedom to create their own Skylander. Portal Masters will enjoy the immense possibilities available in the game — including appearance, powers, abilities, names, catchphrases, musical themes and much more — to create the wildest Skylanders imaginable. Developed by Toys For Bob, Skylanders Imaginators supports all 300+ Skylanders from previous games and will launch on October 13, 2016 in Australia/New Zealand. The Skylanders Imaginators Starter Pack will be available for the suggested retail price of AUD$99.95.
