Shout! Factory Licenses First Three ‘Digimon Adventure tri.’ Anime Films

Shout! Factory has just announced that they have licensed the first three Digimon Adventure tri. anime films for U.S. broadcast and home video distribution. There are a total of six films planned for the tri. series. The first three will be released on DVD and Blu-ray, and will be presented with English audio, Japanese audio and English subtitles.

It’s been six years since that summer adventure when Tai (now in high school) and the rest of the “DigiDestined” crossed over to the Digital World, and nearly three years since the frenzied final battles between warring factions. With the gate to the Digital World closed, time continues to pass, until the adventure “digi-volves” once again.”

Shout! Factory is planning to release Digimon Adventure tri. – Chapter 1: Reunion this year. The home video release will feature the English dub produced for Eleven Arts’ U.S. and Canadian theatrical screenings last September. The film premiered in Japan in November 2015. Chapter 2: Determination premiered in Japan on March 12, 2016. Chapter 3: Confession premiered in Japan on September 24, 2016. The fourth film in the series will debut in Japan on February 25, 2017.

Wield the Powers of Historical Figures and Engage in Battlefield-style Action in an Epic Struggle for Eternal Supremacy, Now Available on PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®Vita

Torrance, Calif. — January 17, 2017 — XSEED Games, the independent-minded console publishing brand of Marvelous USA, Inc., today announced that Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star, the highly-anticipated action title set within the much-beloved Fate universe, is now available in North America for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and PlayStation®Vita handheld entertainment system. Featuring 16 playable Servants from multiple Fate productions across three distinct narrative perspectives, Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star aims to deliver the series’ most legendary showdown yet.

In addition to standard retail and digital formats, the game is available today for both platforms in a limited Noble Phantasm Edition bundle, which contains a 7.5” by 6.3” hardcover art book featuring over 100 pages of high-quality artwork and backstory from Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star, a pack of sixteen collectible 3” by 5” cards depicting each of the game’s Servants, and a 24” by 17” cloth poster, all housed in a custom collectible box. Furthermore, for the first two weeks following today’s launch, the PlayStation®Store will offer a special PlayStation®Vita digital bundle which will include the core Fate/EXTELLA “PSVita” game, an exclusive “PSVita” theme, and the exclusive “Cold-Blooded Warden” DLC outfit for the character Gilgamesh.

Developed by Marvelous Inc. and expanding upon the extensive Fate universe with an original story from acclaimed series writer Kinoko Nasu (of Fate/stay night fame), Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star features a diverse cast of “Servants” – ancient warriors of legend and imagination, always at their Masters’ orders – who survived the Holy Grail War that took place on the Moon. In a future watched over by the all-powerful lunar super computer Moon Cell Automaton, these champions now battle for dominance over this digital realm, known as “SE.RA.PH.” This story takes place after the events described in Fate/EXTRA, and depicts the world after that previous Holy Grail War.

Players will experience the story of Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star from the independent perspectives of the three factions wrestling for control over SE.RA.PH. and face off against foes from a variety of Fate productions, including characters from Fate/EXTRA, Fate/stay night, Fate/Zero, Fate/Apocrypha and Fate/Grand Order, in fast-paced combat. A new form change battle mechanic called Moon Crux debuts in this entry to match its series-first gameplay style, transforming the player-controlled Servants and granting them considerable powers that allow them to devastate enemies and take formidable challenges head-on. The game will contain the original Japanese voices with English text.

Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star is developed by Marvelous Inc. and is published in North America by XSEED Games. The limited Noble Phantasm Edition has a suggested retail price of $69.99 for the PS4™ system and $59.99 for the “PSVita” system, while the standard retail and digital editions of the game are available for $49.99 and $39.99, respectively. This title has been rated “T for Teen” by the ESRB.

Introducing Mirage: Arcane Warfare’s Brutal Bull, the Taurant Class

Introducing Mirage: Arcane Warfare’s Brutal Bull, the Taurant Class

Torn Banner Studios, the creators of Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, today released a brand new trailer exploring one of the iconic classes of their upcoming multiplayer action-combat game Mirage: Arcane Warfare, the Taurant.

The Taurant is a hulking brute that excels at melee and uses his size and physical strength to dominate enemies up close, making him one of Mirage: Arcane Warfare’s most dreaded magic warriors. Loud, brash and very noisy, the fact that you can hear him coming is of little consolation to his opponents. Bringing chaos wherever he goes, the Taurant delivers massive damage with his grand mace and through his lineup of brutal magic abilities:

  • Boulder – Throw a giant boulder that causes havoc on the battlefield
  • Leapslam – Leap up in the air and come down with a massive damaging blast that pushes enemies away
  • Charge – Charge forward, pulling any targets along with you
  • Whirlwind – Spin around with a powerful melee attack, hitting all enemies surrounding you
  • Explosive Punch – An unearthly punch that even when parried disables your opponent

What the Taurant lacks in speed or agility, he makes up for with raw offensive power, as seen in the new class trailer focused on him that can be viewed here.

This brand new trailer featuring the Taurant is the latest in a series of videos called “Instruments of Death” exploring Mirage’s unique band of warriors that will be released in the lead up to the upcoming 2017 PC launch of Mirage: Arcane Warfare through Steam. For more information, or to sign up for the closed alpha that is currently running, please visit MirageArcaneWarfare.com. Sci-Fi Adventure Game Delivers A Narrative-Driven Experience That Reacts to Players’ Actions

Toronto and Seattle – January 17, 2017 – After releasing last year on PlayStation®4 and PlayStation Vita to critical praise, Benjamin Rivers Inc. will bring its sci-fi, narrative-driven adventure game Alone With You to PC via Steam on February 9 for $9.99 USD. During the launch week players can purchase Alone With You for a 15 percent discount. At its core Alone With You takes a subtle, mature approach to relationships and couples it with narrative-driven, sci-fi adventure gameplay that varies upon a player’s actions for an experience they’re unlikely to forget.

In Alone With You players take on the role of the sole survivor of a doomed space colony, trying to discover the fates of more than two-dozen colonists and escape the lonely planet before it implodes. Accompanied by the colony’s troubled AI and holographic simulations of the deceased colonists, players reveal clues, solve puzzles and forge lasting relationships with self-aware artificial intelligence to uncover the secrets of their interwoven lives.

“Since launching on PlayStation we’ve enjoyed watching players connect emotionally with Alone With You’s characters, story and existential themes through their various playthroughs,” said Benjamin Rivers, Founder of Benjamin Rivers Inc. and creator of the indie horror hit Home. “We can’t wait to bring this experience to a wider audience with the PC launch and see how players contemplate the difficult decisions they face within the game. Will they feel affection, admiration or even guilt for someone who is just data?”

Alone With You has players embark on daily missions, where they scan and explore each environment, revealing layers of narrative and driving the story forward. At the end of each day, players rendezvous with one of four holographic companions for intimate one-on-one conversations, which can change depending on how thoroughly a player has completed that day’s mission. How the player responds as the holograms confide in them can affect later opportunities to unravel more of the game’s in-depth story, and conversations with the holograms themselves.

For more information regarding Alone With You please visit the game’s website, or the Facebook and Twitter pages.
