LOS ANGELES — Oct. 22, 2025 — Riddlewood Manor, the comedy horror puzzle adventure set in a murderous haunted house developed by Peanut Button, summons players to the dinner table today on PC via Steam as the house opens up for all those brave enough to enter.

Outsmart a possessed estate where every new room could lead to an untimely death. Scour the dark corners of each room to discover clues, lore, and other helpful items to craft thoughtful solutions, unlocking a series of atmospheric escape rooms. Avoid death by piecing together the tragic story behind the Riddlewood family legacy, and, whatever you do, do not bother the possessed doll Suzie. She’s been in timeout for years now (and she likes to bite).

Succumb to the mansion’s most sinister secrets, and learn meaningful lessons even in death. Emerge outside, resurrected by a group of friendly chanting monks in the yard, run up to the front door, and try again. Explore an intricately locked house from a fully-controllable 360° first-person perspective as it finds new, inventive ways to cater to your doom.

Meet a host of critters throughout the manor that call Riddlewood’s remnants home. Discover quirky dragons hiding in barrels, goofy egg-laying chickens, and more to unravel the house’s riddles before death comes. Deduce what happened to the family by stringing together loose notes, secret symbolism, and other fragmented memories scattered throughout the estate’s haunted hand-drawn hallways.

“We love jump scares, but we didn’t want to single anyone out,” said Asaf Geva, co-founder of Peanut Button. “We included an optional jump scare warning for players to use if desired, but we also didn’t want to rely on those sudden thrills to create the game’s atmosphere. We drew a lot of inspiration from shows like Courage the Cowardly Dog, so we hope players laugh as much as they scream,” said co-founder Eyal Geva.

Riddlewood Manor lays out the welcome mat today on PC via Steam for $14.99 with a 20% discount. The soundtrack will also be available beginning Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025. Language support includes English, French, German, Spanish (Spain), Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Simplified Chinese, Italian, Dutch, and Hebrew.

Dial up the chaos in this hero first-person shooter with its distinctive take on team-based combat. The task is simple – four armed squads enter the arena and must drain opponents’ energies before depleting their own. Players can use special Hearts to steal their opponent’s Energy, but not without risking a raid on their own. Over the weekend, players will experience the power of Magnetic Flux alongside several of the in-game heroes, each with unique abilities. To commemorate the playtest, all players who take to the battle arena this weekend will receive an exclusive, limited-edition Dave the Diver background.

Each hero in Heart Electric wields the Flux and can manipulate anything metallic in its surroundings. Once the Flux is activated, loose metal objects attach onto the body and act as armour, repelling enemies and stunning them on impact. Flux can be effectively used to strategically navigate the environment by swinging through the air using metal surfaces and creating a sequence of jumps to outsmart opponents. There are also special objects that the Flux can magnetise for added effect, such as barrels filled with explosive liquid, special Flux Cores able to emit concussive radiation, or even a jet stream of air to blow opponents away. Full Magnetic Flux Mechanics will be available across three distinct arenas. This revolutionary mechanic enables combatants to manipulate metal, soar through arenas, and outplay their opponents.

“The physics-based mechanic powering Magnetic Flux is unique to Heart Electric, and we can’t wait for the global community to experience its power this weekend,” said Niklas “Figge” Fegraeus, Creative Director of Modoyo. “Magnetic Flux allows players to navigate environments in creative ways, offering unique ways to take out the opposition. We fully expect players to create highlight reels in ways we’ve yet to see in the game.” 

What’s more, every hero in Heart Electric has special abilities. For instance, in this upcoming playtest, players can play as “Prodigy”, whose primary ability is sound. Using Sonar, she discovers hidden enemies in the vicinity. Coupled with her passive ability for noise cancelling, she gains a tactical advantage, and she’s able to take stealthy shots at unsuspecting opponents without revealing her location. Heroes will have a diverse range of primary weapons with fully customisable loadouts. The playtest includes the addition of challenging team tactics in a brand new competitive format, and to up the tension and electric-charged gameplay, global leaderboards will be available to track competitive rankings.

Closed Beta Test Recruitment Has Been Extended Until October 24 Due to Popular Demand
