Emotive new video ‘An Open Letter’ released to celebrate the launch

SYDNEY, 1st September 2017 – SQUARE ENIX®, publisher of award-winning and best-selling videogame franchises such as FINAL FANTASY® and TOMB RAIDER®, today released an emotive new video that features real people, with real, genuine stories of friendship and love to celebrate the launch of LIFE IS STRANGE™: BEFORE THE STORM, out now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.

The three-minute video, entitled “An Open Letter”, has been created to reflect the strong themes of friendship, love and support in the game.

In LIFE IS STRANGE: BEFORE THE STORM, Chloe and Rachel develop a special bond over the time they spend together. Almost everyone can name that one person who defined a very special time of their life. In some cases, these relationships can span a few short months and in other cases, decades. To celebrate the release of Episode One, we invited a small group of real people to write an open letter to that special person in their own life…

Square Enix Vice President for Brand Marketing Jon Brooke said: “I wanted to capture the emotion and spirit of Life is Strange in a way that you don’t usually see in video game advertising. As a game, it braves to be different, harnessing emotions rarely seen in video games and I wanted the advertising to match this. I am really pleased with how it turned out. It’s designed to remind us that life is all about our relationships and a strong friendship can change everything. I hope everyone can relate to that”.

Creative Agency, Ralph, spent many weeks reaching out to pairs of best friends, asking for stories and insights into how their friendship had lasted through even the toughest of times.

““We took a risk with this strategy and we wouldn’t have achieved the emotion within the video had we not chosen some extraordinary people willing to open their hearts on camera,” admitted Ralph’s Creative Director Gregor Stevenson. “The raw intensity of their reactions as they read their best friends’ innermost thoughts is what we wanted to capture from the start. And that’s what we got. Our goal was to portray each friendship in an engaging and empathetic way, whilst reflecting the authenticity and uniqueness of the characters in the game.”

LIFE IS STRANGE: BEFORE THE STORM is the next game in Square Enix’s award-winning, multi-million copy selling, episodic franchise. Set in Arcadia Bay, three years before the events of the first game in the series. Players will take on the role of a rebellious 16 year-old Chloe Price who forms an unlikely friendship with Rachel Amber; a beautiful and popular girl destined for success. When Rachel’s world is turned upside down by a family secret, it takes this new-found alliance to give each other the strength to overcome their demons.

About Kick Off
The franchise Kick Off is a series of video games simulation football born in 1989. Kick Off, the first game of the series, was designed and programmed by Dino Dini and edited by Anco for Amiga and Atari ST in 1989. He has been at the top of the best sales rankings and has won several awards. Player Manager is a game derived from Kick Off developed by Dino Dini and released in 1990. This is the first game to combine management mechanics (including game tactics, leagues, transfers and players with detailed features) And a football game engine (based on that of Kick Off). Madman’s Release Schedule for December 2017 Has Been Revealed

Madman’s business-to-business website has revealed their release schedule for December 2017. They announced their plans to release the complete first season of Sailor Moon on DVD and on Blu-ray for the first time in Australia less than two weeks ago, and the release date for those products has now been revealed.

Madman will also be releasing continuations of popular anime series, complete series box sets of other anime series, a new anime film, collector’s edition releases of three Studio Ghibli films, three different Cartoon Network titles and more on home video in Australia before the end of this year. The following is a full list of the anime and Cartoon Network titles scheduled for release in December 2017. The former will be available on December 6 and the latter will be available on December 13.

Massive Resistance Update Coming to Tom Clancy’s The Division Later This Year

Ubisoft Massive announced today that they will be rolling out the biggest update yet for Tom Clancy’s The Division later this year. Update 1.8 “Resistance” will introduce two new game modes. Resistance is the new PVE mode that will throw continuous waves at agents in a test of endurance. The new PVP mode Skirmish pits two teams of four against each other in a Team Deathmatch format. Additionally, the update is improving the “Underground” DLC content, introducing ways to upgrade existing equipment, and revamping the rogue mechanics.

“Resistance” will also introduce two new zones for the first time. Both areas are set in the West Side Pier, which is the last holdout for the factions that previously controlled New York City before SHD restored order to the city. Now, an uneasy alliance has been forged among the enemy factions. The new alliance seems to be interested in something at the pier, so agents have been deployed to investigate. West Side Pier is anchored by Camp Clinton, the area’s social hub where agents can rearm and rest.

Update 1.8 is scheduled to launch later this spring (autumn in the Northern Hemisphere) for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows.

H1Z1®: KING OF THE KILL® ADDS NEW WEAPON AND OVERHAULS COMBAT WITH LATEST UPDATE

Battles intensify in H1Z1 with the introduction of new points of interest, navigation tools, camera perspectives, and movement mechanics

SAN DIEGOAug. 30, 2017 – Daybreak Games has released its largest update of the year for the massive arena shooter H1Z1®: King of the Kill®. The update introduces a new weapon — the Hellfire 4-6 submachine gun — and revamps the game’s core mechanics and gunplay to provide players with the best combat experience yet.

The Combat Update further increases the pace and action of H1Z1 by simplifying navigation mechanics, improving combat mechanics and weapon roles, and more. Highlights include:

  • New Weapon: Players now have the option to spray down opponents with the fast-firing Hellfire 4-6 submachine gun, which was designed for close-quarter fights.
  • Intuitive Gunplay: All guns have been rebalanced to give each weapon a distinct play style and have been modernized with improved weapon ballistics, hitmarkers, recoil and animation for better proficiency and precision.
  • Dynamic Cameras: The camera system has been improved to better showcase characters and make it easier to move and loot around the world.
  • New POIs: Five new points of interest have been added to increase variety in fights and to the map: East Valley Shopping Center, Harris County Fairgrounds, CWP Water Treatment Authority, CWP Utilities Compound 62, and a remade Sunny Pines residential area.
  • Improved Navigation: The compass has been updated to ease navigation through the world, including the ability to place a waypoint marker on the map.
  • And More: Various world systems improvements have been implemented, the ability to shred footwear has been added, bleed mechanics have been simplified, and throwables have been upgraded to be more efficient to use and equip.

The Combat Update also introduces a new Skirmish mode, Weapon Roulette. In Weapon Roulette, players start the match with a random gun equipped with infinite ammo with no other guns or ammo spawned into the map to loot. At certain population thresholds during the match, all players will have their current weapon replaced with a new weapon and ammo at random.
