Superhot: Mind Control Delete Announced for Steam Early Access

Superhot Team announced the next chapter of their hit indie FPS Superhot will be the standalone expansion Superhot: Mind Control Delete. The expansion will focus on adding a rogue-like experience to the game’s signature time moves when you move gameplay. The expansion is not just perma-death slapped onto the original Superhot, however. Mind Control Delete will feature three new playable characters, new enemy types, improved AI, new weapons, a non-linear story, and plenty of new levels.

Superhot: Mind Control Delete will be released on Steam Early Access later today on December 7. The early access build already features new levels, one new playable character, an unlockable power up system, and procedurally generated runs. The early access period is expected to last nine months, with the next major content update scheduled in January. The team plans on focusing on releasing gameplay based content first, with the story being added late in the early access phase.

Anyone who owns Superhot will receive Mind Control Delete for free upon the expansion’s full release. Gamers will need to purchase access to Mind Control Delete’s early access phase, even if they own the original Superhot. No price has been announced yet, but Superhot Team has confirmed that the price will go up once Mind Control Delete leaves early access.

Free Everspace Hardcore Mode Update Released on Xbox One and Windows 10 Store

Everspace has received a massive new update on Xbox One and the Windows 10 Store that introduces the standalone Hardcore Mode. The mode was originally launched for Steam and GOG users this past August.

Hardcore mode changes a lot of mechanics in the base game to amp up the challenge. Players are handed with a ship preloaded with perks that can only be upgraded as each sector is completed. Additionally, each sector will add a new handicap that players will need to work around. One sector can trigger a slow, but constant fuel leak, while another sector may disable pausing the game while crafting. The final boss battle has also been revamped to be more in line with the challenging encounter when the game was still in Xbox Game Preview.

Everspace is a rogue like space shooter. The game available now on GOG, Steam, Xbox One, and Windows 10 Store.

The Walking Dead Collection is Now Available

While we wait for the fourth (and final season) of Clementine’s journey, Telltale Games has released something new to keep us occupied. The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series Collection is now available in North America and Europe, with all 19 episodes of the series going into one disc for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. You can either grab it in a digital or a retail format for the suggested price of $49.99 USD.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0NtXF_guqU

The collection includes The Walking Dead: A New Frontier and the visually enhanced Season One, Season Two, 400 Days DLC as well as The Walking Dead: Michonne spin-off. Telltale Games wrote extensively about the creative process behind the visual improvement, which you can read more about in their most recent development blog.

You can also check out the video below for a small facelift preview of Lee, the interior, and the angry zombie without any sense for personal boundaries.

In any case, now is a great time to revisit the horror, this time featuring prettier corpses, decapitations and rich blood splatter as the death toll of characters keep rising throughout the episodes. That’s why we’re all here for, right?

NVidia Shield to Carry Nintendo Wii and GameCube Titles in China

Nvidia and Nintendo announced they will be partnering to deliver Wii and GameCube titles to China via the Nvidia Shield. So far, New Super Mario Bros WiiThe Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and Punch-Out!! has been confirmed on the Nvidia China’s website. The games will run at 1080p, though the Nvidia Shield can technically support up to 4K.

While this is exciting news for Chinese gamers, western gamers should not expect to see these titles landing on their Shields anytime soon. China’s market is a very special case due to a mixture of tight government regulations, laws banning game consoles only being lifted in 2014, and a growing middle class with buying power that has previously been untapped by international companies. Furthermore, the announcement has been limited to Nvidia’s Chinese website, so don’t get your hopes up!

Bridge Constructor Portal Announced for PC, Consoles, and Mobile

The new Portal announcement isn’t quite Portal 3, but rather a crossover with the Bridge Constructor franchise. Developed by Headup Games, Bridge Constructor Portal is set on a 2D plane in Aperture Labs, where players will need to mix portals, gels, and bridge construction to reach the exit. The game is a fully licensed crossover and will serve as GLaDOS’ latest testing grounds. It is unclear if Ellen McLain will be lending her voice to the game, but I don’t think it will truly be a Portal game without her.

Bridge Constructor Portal is set to launch on Android, iOS, Linux, Mac, and Windows on 20 December 2017. The console version will launch on PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One in Q1 2018.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Launches Operation White Noise

Ubisoft has released “Operation White Noise” for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege. The update is live for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows. Three new operators have been added to the game, Dokkaebi and Vigil of South Korea’s 707th Special Mission Battalion and Zofia of Poland’s GROM. “Operation White Noise” also adds the Mok Myeok Tower map set in South Korea, pitting teams against each other in a vertical battle zone where death can come from above and below the player.

To coincide with the launch of “Operation White Noise,” Ubisoft announced that the game has passed 25 million registered players. A steady stream of content for the game in the last two years has likely contributed to the game’s longevity, and Ubisoft has already announced another year’s worth is in the works. Brand director Alexandre Remy shared his thoughts on the game’s milestone:

“Player investment has been core to the success of the game with longevity being always very important to us. As the game progressed, we continued to develop it with the community in mind. We’re thrilled to see that the community has embraced the game, brought along their friends, and really pushed our understanding of what’s possible with what we’ve created.”

Antigraviator Coming to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2018

Iceberg Interactive (Inmates) and Cybernetic Walrus announced their high speed anti-gravity racer Antigraviator will launch simultaneously on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in Q2 2018. The game is built on the Unity engine and features traditional anti-gravity racing gameplay with a touch of kart style racing. Players will pilot vehicles with absolutely no speed limit, the only thing that is stopping them is their own skill when it comes to navigating the dangerous tracks. Littering the tracks are power-ups and boosts that can turn the tide of a race or even change the race track itself, like rockslides that can collapse tunnels.

The game will launch with a single player campaign, a multiplayer component, and twelve tracks. The single player campaign is where gamers will unlock a variety of ships, parts, and skins to create their ultimate Grav racer they can take online. Multiplayer supports four player local split screen and online gameplay.
