GOOD SHEPHERD ENTERTAINMENT AND CREATIVEFORGE GAMES RELEASE NEW GAMEPLAY BREAKDOWN TRAILER FOR PHANTOM DOCTRINE
Your Decisions Matter in This Cold War Strategy Thriller, Coming Aug. 14 to PlayStation®4, Xbox One and Windows PC
AMSTERDAM, Netherlands, and WARSAW, Poland – Aug. 1, 2018 – Good Shepherd Entertainment has released a new gameplay breakdown trailer for Phantom Doctrine, the turn-based espionage strategy game from independent developer CreativeForge Games, creators of Hard West. As the leader of a covert organization battling a global conspiracy at the height of the Cold War, you’ll have to master operating in the shadows against overwhelming odds. Train your agents, investigate new cases, and research cutting-edge tech from your base, then infiltrate enemy facilities, eliminate their assets with stealth or brute force, and uncover their schemes.
Phantom Doctrine will launch on Aug. 14, 2018, on the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One and Windows PC via Steam and GOG for $39.99. The game will be available with a 10% launch discount across all platforms. PC players can also purchase the Deluxe Version of Phantom Doctrine, which includes the game’s soundtrack and a digital art book (available separately for $9.99), for $45.99.
As part of the game’s special launch campaign, anyone who purchases the game on Steam or GOG.com within two weeks of its release will automatically be upgraded to the game’s Deluxe Version free of charge. In addition, PC players who own Hard West on Steam or GOG.com will receive an additional 5% discount when they buy Phantom Doctrine within the first two weeks after release (which stacks with the launch discount for a combined 15% discount).
Phantom Doctrine’s deep single-player mode offers two different perspectives: experience the story as a KGB counterintelligence operative or a renegade CIA commando. Players can unlock New Game Plus runs of the game’s 40-hour campaign with additional story content, or challenge rivals around the world in ruthless one-on-one online multiplayer matches. Phantom Doctrine captures the subtle tension and intrigue of classic Cold War spy films with atmospheric visuals and an unnerving soundtrack from award-winning composer Marcin Przybylowicz (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt).

Airheart: Tales of Broken Wings
If you want to be successful in the higher levels, it’s necessary to modify your airplane with one of the over 40 available weapons and upgrade the parts. While hunting fish and fighting against pirates we collect the necessary resources for the crafting system of Airheart: Tales of Broken Wings. While exploring the different levels, we also have to take care to not attack other airplanes as this might result in a cop-plane chasing us. This game can really create chaos on the screen with pirates, fish, cop-planes and random planes including myself flying around. This is where also some kind of frustration takes place – often I felt that I can’t really can influence all of my moves and so I definitely crashed more than once. Then I thought twice about it and remembered: Hey it’s a rogue-like!
The crafting system wants us to discover all recipes by ourselves. So basically what this means is that we have to sacrifice a part of our materials for the hope of a good result. This is why you literally pick up everything that you find during your expedition. You never know the recipe you’ll discover next and what materials you’ll need for it. On one hand I think this is an interesting approach on the other hand I think it adds more frustration to the game. There is just no other word for it if you’ve spent a big part of your materials without any results.
