DEATHGARDEN™ KICKSTARTS STEAM EARLY ACCESS ON AUG. 14 WITH FREE WEEK FOR ALL PLAYERS

Alpha, beta and pre-order players can start playing today with the game’s soft launch

MONTREAL, Canada Aug. 8, 2018 — Behaviour® Digital has revealed that DEATHGARDEN™ will enter Steam Early Access on Aug. 14, kicking off with a free week of gameplay for all players until Aug. 21. Set in the near future, DEATHGARDEN is an asymmetrical multiplayer game where a powerful Hunter preys in first-person on a team of five agile Runners playing in third-person in fast-paced matches.

SOFT LAUNCH AND PRE-ORDER OFFER

Behaviour also announced that players who participated in DEATHGARDEN’s alpha or beta – plus those who have pre-ordered the game – are invited to play during the soft launch of early access, which begins today. Progression made during early access will carry forward to the game’s official release, expected in early 2019 on Windows PC.

DEATHGARDEN is available to pre-order now through Aug. 13 for $29.99 at www.deathgardengame.com/preorder. Pre-orders are automatically upgraded to the Digital Deluxe Edition, which includes exclusive Origin cosmetic sets, a digital copy of the game’s soundtrack, and a digital art book. Players must pre-order or purchase DEATHGARDEN to join early access following the free week event.

Behaviour is also pleased to announce that DEATHGARDEN will make its way to consoles – on the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One – early in 2019.

The first volume in The Bard’s Tale Trilogy arrives on Steam and GOG.com for PC on Aug. 14, with the remaining volumes launching later this year

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.Aug. 6, 2018 – inXile Entertainment, the studio led by Interplay founder and industry icon Brian Fargo, is proud to announce The Bard’s Tale Trilogy, a complete remaster of the legendary series that helped define the RPG genre. Featuring updated graphics and optional quality-of-life gameplay features, The Bard’s Tale Trilogy is the ideal way to experience the dungeon crawling challenge that made the original games beloved classics. The title will release on Aug. 14, 2018, for PC on both Steam and GOG.com with a retail price of $14.99.

Features of The Bard’s Tale Trilogy include:

  • Remasters of all three original The Bard’s Tale games. The first volume, Tales of the Unknown, is available at launch, with The Destiny Knight (fall 2018) and Thief of Fate (winter 2018) arriving later in the year.
  • A uniform playing experience across all three titles without the need for emulation or compatibility concerns.
  • Create a party in the first volume and play it across all three volumes to create a heroic narrative all your own.
  • For the first time, play as male or female across all three games. Also includes other quality-of-life changes such as automapping for all three games, spell access, and updated equipment/inventory management.
  • Updated art that holds true to the spirit of the originals, featuring never-before-used character art by series creator Michael Cranford!
  • An opportunity for new players to experience the events that led to The Bard’s Tale IV: Barrows Deep and The Mage’s Tale!
  • The final content to be released will be a Legacy Mode, a set of options which allows players to make the titles play similarly to the 1980s originals… with all the challenge that entails!

Partnering with Australia-based Krome Studios, The Bard’s Tale Trilogy is an ambitious undertaking for inXile, especially as no complete source code for the original games could be found. Not only that, each game worked and looked differently depending on its platform, and each title was different in many ways from the others. Often times, it was discovered that features in some versions of the games were present but had no actual functionality.

“If archaeology and game development had a baby, it would be this project,” said Lindsay Parmenter, Head of Development at Krome. “By studying the code across different versions of the game, we were able to piece together developer intent and recreate it. Of course, having access to some of the original team members helped, too!”

inXile CEO Brian Fargo added, “We were extremely limited in what we could do in the 1980s. This is an opportunity to truly realize the vision that the original dev teams had, and in some cases fix a few bugs that are over thirty years old. Even with all the challenges this project presented, we’re thrilled with how this has turned out, and we can’t wait for our fans to start playing this.”

BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe today announces the details for the NINTENDO Switch™ Open-Beta. Fighters all over the world will be able to try the Switch version of DRAGON BALL FighterZ. The test session is scheduled from August 10th 6:00am CEST to August 12th 9:00am CEST (10th August 4pm AEST Sydney time to 12th August 7pm AEST Sydney time). To be able to play during the Open-Beta, players will have to download the client which is already available from the Nintendo eShop.

The Open-Beta will include four different game modes: The Practice Battle Tutorial to hone their skills and Arena Match, Ring Match and Ring Party Match to compete against each other.

The Multiplayer Beta schedule is split into two weekends as follows:

  • Multiplayer Beta Weekend 1:
    • Saturday, August 4 at 3am AEST – Tuesday, August 7 at 3am AEST

  • Multiplayer Beta Weekend 2:
    •  Saturday, August 11 at 3am AEST – Tuesday, August 14 at 3am AEST (PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC)
    • Sunday, August 12, 3am AEST – Tuesday, August 14, 3am AEST (PC Only Open Beta)

The Call of Duty®: Black Ops 4 Private Multiplayer Beta* features six maps, several game modes including the all-new Control mode, and the opportunity to play as ten different Specialists. The Beta content represents just a portion of the multiplayer content that will be available at launch October 12th. In Black Ops 4, Specialists each have their own unique weapons, equipment and playstyles. Players can be powerful alone or devastating as a team working together. The Beta also features the return of the iconic Pick 10 system, along with a series of innovations in weapon handling, combat flow and health regeneration. Players will have the opportunity to strategise with their team through tactical teamplay while discovering unique and powerful ways to combine Specialist skills and dominate their opponents.

If PlayStation 4 players are unable to join the first Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Private Multiplayer weekend they will have another opportunity to join the Private Multiplayer Beta during its second weekend of testing, as it opens to players that have pre-ordered the game at participating retailers of either PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. The second Private Multiplayer Beta weekend begins on Saturday, August 11 at 3am AEST , and runs through Tuesday, August 14 at 3am AEST . Additionally, PC players will have their own PC Open Beta** which will take place from 3am AEST Sunday, August 12  until 3am AEST Tuesday, August 14. Players will need a Blizzard Battle.net® account to access it, and those who pre-purchase the game through Battle.net will get a full extra day – beginning at 3am AEST on Saturday, August 11– to play with their friends and fellow community members.

Players who partake in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Private Multiplayer Beta will receive in-game rewards that will activate at the time of launch. All players will be gifted a unique, one-of-a-kind commemorative calling card to display in-game. Additionally, players who achieve total max rank during the Beta will be awarded one permanent unlock token that will unlock any item from the Create-A-Class menu at launch.

Treyarch will be actively gathering community feedback throughout both Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Private Multiplayer Beta weekends. The data gathered will be used to fine-tune gameplay balance, stress-test servers and optimise the online experience ahead of the game’s launch this October. Private Multiplayer Beta participants will have the opportunity to share their feedback and join in an active dialogue with the development team across a variety of outlets, including player surveys and online forums, with frequent Beta update posts planned from Treyach.

The Black Ops series has become the most played in Call of Duty® history as well as a cultural phenomenon around the globe. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is the deepest, most engaging Black Ops game ever that offers more ways to have fun with friends. It features a gritty, grounded, all-out combat experience that raises the bar for Multiplayer mode with greater tactical gameplay and player choice; the biggest Zombies offering ever with three full experiences at launch; and Blackout, where the Black Ops universe comes to life in a massive battle royale experience featuring iconic characters and locations from all four Black Ops games in a one-of-a-kind offering that is uniquely Black Ops. A separate Blackout Beta is planned in September, with dates to be announced soon.

ATLANTA Aug. 3, 2018 Cartoon Network and Outright Games have revealed they will release a new boxed product exclusively at retail this fall featuring two of Cartoon Network’s top games in one package: Steven Universe: Save the Light and OK K.O.! Let’s Play Heroes. The bundle will be available globally on the PlayStation®4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch™ on Oct. 30 in North America and Nov. 2 in Europe for $39.99/£34.99/€39.99.

Marking the first time these console titles will be available on Nintendo Switch, both Steven Universe: Save the Light and OK K.O.! Let’s Play Heroes will also release as standalone titles in the Nintendo eShop on Oct. 30 for $24.99/£19.99/€24.99 and $19.99/£17.99/€19.99, respectively.

Developed by Grumpyface Studios with an original storyline crafted alongside series creator Rebecca Sugar, Steven Universe: Save the Light is the sequel to the hit mobile RPG Attack the Light.
