Belts of Iron Wants to Be Your Next Factory Automation Addiction

UNITED STATES, May 28, 2026 – Indie developer, Builderment LLC releases their factory automation game Belts of Iron into Steam Early Access today! Belts of Iron literally drops you into a vast procedurally generated world where survival quickly turns into an obsession for optimizing your factory. Design massive production lines, build power and rail networks that go for miles, and fight hostile enemies to obtain the valuable resource they protect. All in pursuit of building a rocket capable of taking you home, or stay if you feel like you’ve made a nice home by then.

Since Belts of Iron was announced last fall the developer has been constantly updating and improving the game, sharing progress through regular dev logs and the growing discord community. The demo has been played by thousands of players on Steam and covered by popular gaming YouTube creators such as Orbital Potato and Z1 Gaming.

About the game

Belts of Iron is an open world factory automation game where belts are just the beginning. After crash-landing on an alien planet you start mining ore and smelting ingots to craft belts and basic machinery. Soon you have a small factory producing data packs that can research new technology. It’s not much but it’s yours and it works, for now. New research unlocks oil refineries and fluid mechanics. Suddenly you’re weaving pipes full of crude oil, petroleum, and water throughout your neatly placed rows of belts. Your machines start to hunger for more power, so you scale up electricity generation with massive steam turbines. You feel like you’ve got it all figured out just as your initial resource deposits begin to dry up. And then you hear the low rumble of iron horses coming to save you. Choo choo! Freight cars hauling wagons full of valuable resources over miles of railway tracks back to the factory. Only you’re not alone, and the native creatures do not like what you’re doing to their home. Luckily this isn’t your first rodeo and you’ve come prepared, didn’t you? Now that you’ve made your presence known and your factory is humming at 100% efficiency, it’s time to build a rocket and go home. Or don’t. The factory could always be bigger.

Key Features

  • Automate Everything – Every item and machine in the factory can be crafted and transported. Your entire factory, from miners to oil refineries, can and should be automated.
  • Fully Procedural World – Explore a unique world every time with new terrain and resource locations spread accross 9 distinct biomes.
  • Multiplayer Co-op – Play online or via LAN with up to 4 players.
  • Train Networks – Live out your fantasy of being a railway tycoon with dedicated train networks efficiently moving items and fluids across long distances.
  • Base Defense & Combat – Craft weapons, automate turrets, and build defenses to fight the native creatures.

Early Access

The Early Access release includes a complete core gameplay loop, from resource gathering and factory construction to large-scale automation and exploration. Future updates will expand the game with new production lines, more technology, additional machines, quality of life improvements, and much more!

“Early Access isn’t just about releasing early, it’s about building alongside players, improving the game together, and letting ideas evolve in real time,” said the developer. “The game has reached a state where I’m excited to share it with players and see what they create!”

Community feedback will play a central role in prioritizing and shaping these updates, with ongoing development shared openly through regular posts and experimental releases.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Oblivion Lost modder announces Alpha Spectrum for September 2026

The cyberpunk RPG from a Deus Ex fan who refused to wait for a sequel!

Hungarian developer Adam Ferenczi today announced Alpha Spectrum, a story-driven isometric cyberpunk action RPG launching on Steam in September 2026. Built solo over eight years in his free time alongside a full-time job, the game is set in a dystopian 2030 where a global cyberattack has triggered systemic collapse. Players take on the role of a CIA agent with psionic abilities, investigating a mystery across fourteen open zones, including New York, Moscow, Shanghai, and Baghdad.

Alpha Spectrum presents a fully voice-acted, branching storyline with deep lore and optional side content. The game combines the freedom of a classic immersive sim with skill-based, point-and-click ARPG combat. Many objectives can be approached through combat, stealth, or exploration, with systems like hacking providing additional options. There are no glowing quest markers, the world is built to be read, not signposted.

Ferenczi, known in the PC modding community as Kanyhalos for his work on the S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Oblivion Lost and Crysis Maximum Immersion mods, began the project in 2017 after finishing Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and deciding to build the cyberpunk RPG he wanted to play next. Eight years later, Alpha Spectrum is fully self-funded, with no publisher, no investors, and no AI-generated content.

Key features:

  • Fully voice-acted dialogues with meaningful choices
  • Non-linear missions without hand-holding
  • Fast-paced, skill-based combat with crowd control
  • Streamlined loot and progression systems
  • 14 explorable open zones with fast travel
  • Stealth with cover mechanics and active abilities

After nine years of modding, I decided to build the cyberpunk RPG I’d been waiting for since Mankind Divided ended on a cliffhanger. Making my own game was always the dream, and when a defining moment in my life turned that dream into a decision, every line, every voice, every frame followed with that in mind. – Adam Ferenczi (Kanyhalos), Founder, InspiRational Games

London (May 28, 2026) Ingrid joins the Street Fighter™ 6 roster today across Nintendo Switch™ 2, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam! First introduced in Capcom Fighting Evolution in 2004, Ingrid quickly tore through the fabric of reality again to appear in Street Fighter™ Alpha 3 MAX in 2006. Ingrid is available across all three game modes, including Fighting Ground, World Tour, and the Battle Hub!

Watch the Ingrid Launch Trailer on YouTube below, and for the latest assets and information on Street Fighter 6, visit the official Street Fighter 6 website.

Ingrid can be acquired with the Street Fighter 6 Year 3 Character Pass, Year 3 Ultimate Pass, or individually with Fighter Coins. Outfit 2 can be acquired either with Fighter Coins, maxing out your bond with her in World Tour mode, or maxing out her Acquisition Gauge in Avatar Arcade Mode.

As seen in the previously released Gameplay Trailer on YouTube, Ingrid outclasses her competition with cosmic destruction. Marathon Season 2 arrives Wednesday, 3 June AEST

Check out what’s coming and play for yourself during Open Play Week 3 – 10 June AEST.

What secrets lurk in the dark as night descends on Marathon’s second season? Season 2 is coming Wednesday, 3 June, bringing new challenges, new opportunities, and new ways to play. You’ll be able to try out Season 2 for yourself with Marathon Open Play Week from 3 – 10 June. During Open Play Week, the full game will be available on PlayStation 5 (no PlayStation Plus membership required) and any progress you make will carry over into Season 2.

Today, Marathon’s dev team is excited to bring you an overview of what to expect when the lights go out.

Into the night

Veteran Marathon players already know that Dire Marsh can be an unforgiving place. With its deadly mixture of long sight lines, elevated perches, and concentrated points of interest, one wrong move in the Marsh can change a run in an instant. Season 2 offers up a new vision of the Marsh, as night descends in the zone, the light disappears, and the tension skyrockets.

With the new Night Marsh zone, light comes at a premium, with multiple areas that feature pitch darkness. Even the exterior wayfinding lights you might rely on are reduced, amping up the dependence on quiet steps, maximum awareness, and a quick trigger finger. Thankfully, players will have new tools at their disposal, including attached lights on their Runner shells, as well as new loot options they can use to combat the darkness, including Darksight scopes and signal flares. But beware: the light you may be using to find your way might just be a beacon for an enemy.

Alongside the challenge of navigating the darkness of Night Marsh comes new enemies to contend with as the anomaly stirs. Meanwhile the UESC has increased its presence to fortify the Complex building for reasons unknown. What are they protecting? The answers will be yours to discover.

Sentinel

Season 2 has introduced more variety to the Runner mix in the form of Sentinel, a new defensive shell designed to control space and shape encounters before they even begin. With a mixture of tools and abilities that offer defensive safeguards, superior intel, and deadly traps, a skilled Sentinel player can control tempo, force hesitation, and turn enemy aggression into deadly mistakes.

Be reborn

In Season 2, you’ll have more control over your Runner shell progression over the course of the season thanks to the Cradle. This new system will let you level up the WEAVEworms that create your cybernetic body and shape your upgrade path as the season continues.

You’ll do so with WEAVEworm Energy you can earn and use to level up your Cradle, routing that Energy into upgrade paths that unlock stat gains and access to new perks. Best of all, you can reallocate your Energy at any time during the season: Simply reset to have your Energy refunded and start again. The Cradle offers more customisation, allowing you to fit your Runner shell into your preferred playstyle.

A fresh start with new tools

Season 2 will begin with a full reset for all Marathon players, leveling the playing field, so that every Runner is once again on the same page gear-wise. It’s a time when everyone is discovering what’s new and learning how to survive Tau Ceti together.

As you build your Runner back up, we’ll have more fun to find, including two new weapons to collect–a small-arms SMG known as the KKV, designed for close-range DPS, and the D54 Battle Pistol, which comes equipped with an integrated red dot optic. Look for new mods, cores, and implants to continue refining your Runner shell into the biocybernetics merc you were born (and reborn) to be.

Season 2 also brings increased faction progression speed, a larger Vault, improvements to some of the more frustrating contracts, and more quality-of-life changes to help you on your climb.

Finally, if you’ve played previous Bungie games before, you might know about Bungie Rewards – an ongoing program that lets you unlock the ability to purchase exclusive game-inspired rewards by completing challenges in the game. PlayStation is happy to share that Bungie Rewards will be coming to Marathon with Season 2 and you can look for more details coming soon. Until then, grab those flashlights and watch your six. You never know what surrounds you in the darkness…

Yoshi and the Mysterious Book Review

Yoshi and the Mysterious Book

Developer: Good Feel
Publisher: Nintendo
Platforms: Switch 2
Release Date: 21st May, 2026
Price: $59.99 – Available Here

Overview

Everybody loves some Yoshi! It has been far too long since Yoshi’s last independent outing, and Nintendo are making right of that with Yoshi and the Mysterious Book for the Nintendo Switch 2. This title takes a newer, albeit safe, route of offering more puzzle-like mechanics based on discovery. Does that formula work for a genre starved of our favourite lizard from the Mario universe? Let’s find out.

Story

This romp starts with Bowser Jr. causing a bit of mischief before being taken in by a living encyclopedia. The book falls into the hands of a herd of Yoshi, who are then invited by the book to discover species within its pages and get rid of the menacing duo of Bowser Jr. and Kamek, all while filling out entries by discovering more and more interactive creatures as the game progresses.

It’s a very soft story with a light tone, and that is fine. There is never a sense of challenge, replaced by a sense of wonder as Mr E (the book) guides you from page to page. Sure, I would have liked to see something with a bit more depth, but that isn’t this experience, and that is perfectly fine due to the cozy and inviting atmosphere that simply expands upon the lore of Yoshi’s Island and beyond.

Gameplay

In almost every single way, Yoshi and the Mysterious Book plays like a typical Yoshi’s Island experience. You still swallow and shoot eggs. Yoshi has almost all of his trademark moves, such as his hovering jump and ground pound. What makes it different is that there really isn’t a major challenge. There really are no bosses, instead a list of challenges to complete in 2D-inspired levels. I guess that may be a deal breaker for some, but understanding the concept is only a piece of the journey.

This is a title based on discovery. Mr E will have each level found by discovering a creature. Be it a little flower guy who makes the other flowers around him bloom or frogs that allow you to ride in bubbles upwards, it’s a very tame experience. Once you find a creature, you must then achieve objectives based on the creature’s abilities. This can be something simple, such as making a tree grow, or more complex goals found later that usually have to do with platforming in special ways to reach areas.

The sense of discovery is magical here and makes exploration very rewarding. That said, the puzzles never fully take advantage of the mechanics quite enough to give that true magic of what we would have seen in similar titles in the past. Finding a muddy swamp and noticing how it changes your pal’s techniques is fun, but when it does little more than complete the level, you kind of wish there was a bit more meat on the bone to offer more incentive for hunting around. Sure, it’s fun and delightful, but I can’t help but imagine what this game would be with actual enemies and challenge mixed into the fold.

Audio

The music in the game is fantastic. I know that should go without saying in a Yoshi game, but there have definitely been some odd choices over the years with soundtracks, and it was kind of nice to have a focused and quiet line-up without hearing a group of Yoshi howl to a random tune this time. Yoshi and everyone have their trademark sounds, and I dug the little voicework in the game, as they work well to make this experience feel singular and special on its own.

Visuals

There is definitely something lovely about this title’s aesthetic. The game feels like a storybook, and the 3D models have this interesting filter in play that has their colours animate softly within each model. The result almost seems stop-motion, giving homage to Yoshi’s usual uniqueness, while offering something slightly new in the process. At the end of the day, it’s fun to poke around here, and the visuals are the highlight of the game overall.

Overall

Yoshi and the Mysterious Book brings back simplicity and joy as the primary features of a traditional Nintendo title. While the game lacks depth or challenge in a traditional sense, it offers a vast set of levels that are a joy to explore. I do wish these mechanics had a better payoff for the player that led to something other than production, but you cannot deny how charming the game is as you traverse each stage. Yoshi needed a nice outing, and for longtime fans, this book will be a pleasant side-dish that is sure to give gamers of all ages a true delight.

The newly-added Warlord is a spear-wielding melee class that is designed as a battlefield commander while using commanding combat abilities to disrupt enemies and turn the tide of battle. To celebrate the launch of Warlord, RAVEN2 is holding a Class Change Event that allows players to obtain a Class Change Token using Gold and switch to the class they wish. Warlord Growth Support Chests will also be provided to all players to make their gameplay experience more enjoyable.

A special Grand Festival is now underway to commemorate the update. For the first time since launch, players can receive Ultimate Coupons and Special Coupons by participating in the check-in event. The rewards include three Ultimate Coupons for Holy Garment, Familiar, and Stella, as well as four Special Coupons for Armor, Relic, Rune, and Weapon Resonance. These coupons reflect eligible history from the launch of RAVEN2, allowing players to retry eligible contract summons and Stella combinations, or restore items destroyed after failed enhancement attempts.

The Grand Festival also features an event where players can obtain a Legendary Familiar that is a new addition to celebrate the update. In addition to the ongoing event that grants a Legendary Holy Garment upon reaching Level 60, players can earn both a Legendary Holy Garment and a Legendary Familiar through gameplay participation.

In-game towns have been decorated with a festive Grand Festival theme, and a special event dungeon is set to open. The update also expands Tower of Chaos up to 50F that offer additional challenges and progression opportunities.

An official sequel to RAVEN (EvilBane: The Iron King), RAVEN2 is a blockbuster MMORPG set in a dark fantasy realm reimagined with unrivaled graphics. As a member of the Special Corps, players will onboard on a journey to investigate dangerous and bizarre incidents under royal order, and engage in a large-scale, cruel war.
