NBA THE RUN ANNOUNCES OPEN BETA COMING MAY 30 TO PLAYSTATION 5, XBOX AND STEAM

Look out, servers! Play by Play Studios, the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) have announced an open beta for NBA THE RUN, playable Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 10am PDT – 6pm PDT on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. This marks the first time the 3v3 streetball game featuring NBA stars will be playable on consoles, with cross-play fully enabled. Here’s a breakdown of what’s going to be included in this weekend’s test:

  • Game Modes: Play as one player on a team of three in Knockout Squads, or control your entire team of three in Knockout Solos

NBA THE RUN is launching on June 9 with two editions – the Standard Edition will be available for $29.99, while the Deluxe Edition will be available for $39.99 and includes three additional unlocked playable characters (Stephen Curry Golden State Warriors ‘09 Rookie Variant, Luka Dončić Dallas Mavericks ‘18 Rookie Variant, and Kevin Durant Seattle Supersonics ‘07 Rookie Variant), plus 1000 CRED, the in-game currency that players can use to purchase items in the shop, including alternate jerseys, dunk animations, taunts, badges, banners, and more.

At the heart of NBA THE RUN is the Run the World Tournament, a four-round Knockout tournament where teams of 3 will go head to head on iconic streetball courts around the world. Each tournament ends with a championship game at one of four specially designated finals courts, where you’ll square off for the Run the World trophy and the ultimate bragging rights.

At launch, players will take to the courts as one of 30+ NBA stars, along with 5 fictional streetball legends, each with different playstyles, and each uniquely handcrafted and stylized. Gameplay is fast, fluid and responsive, powered by true rollback netcode, ensuring every crossover, dive for loose ball and alley-oop syncs simultaneously for every player in a seamless online experience.

In the wake of an epic war between gods and outer gods, all deities have fallen. Night Shift Begins: Co-Op Detective Horror Shift At Midnight Launches This June

Leamington Spa, UK – May 28, 2026: UK publisher Kwalee and solo independent developer Bun Muen are pleased to announce the new release date for the upcoming co-op detective thriller, Shift at Midnight. Players can start working their night shifts from Wednesday, June 17, 2026. 

The game is coming to PC and Xbox Series X|S.  Game Pass subscribers can also play the game on Xbox Series consoles, Xbox on PC, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. 

Developed by Australian solo developer Bun Muen, Shift at Midnight is an online co-op detective horror game for up to three players. Players work together across randomly generated shifts to investigate their customers, some of whom are only pretending to be human. Make one mistake, and you’ll be forced to board up, set traps, and hide.

Players can also dive straight in by downloading the multiplayer demo on Steam, which currently holds “99% Overwhelmingly Positive” rating.

Kwalee and Bun Muen have also released a brand-new gameplay trailer showcasing the different ways players can deal with customers and doppelgangers, as well as what happens when everything starts to go wrong.

Managing a gas station is tough work, keep your stock shelves full and sell enough products to meet your quota each night, take deliveries and keep your store nice and clean.

Oh, and make sure to interrogate each customer as you serve – as some are not human and are in fact doppelgangers – miss one and they will return later that shift to try and kill you and your friends… Execute on site if you think they are not human – just be sure to clean up after. If you mess up, be prepared to set traps, barricade the doors and hide as the doppelgangers return as horrible monsters.

Manage your gas station

Stock the shelves, take deliveries, keep your store clean & serve customers. Each shift is randomly generated… meaning no 2 shifts are the same.

Not all customers are human…

Managing a gas station these days also means you have to be a detective… You may ask each customer 5 questions, examine their ID, cross-check their details in the computer, and observe their behaviour. Make sure they are human before you let them leave, or they will come back…

Board Up, Lay Traps and Hide

If a creature manages to leave the store, all hell breaks loose. Barricade the doors, place traps, and find a place to hide. Survival is no longer guaranteed.

Screeps, the World’s First MMO RTS Sandbox for Programmers, Celebrates Its 10th Anniversary 

The Anniversary Event launches June 1 — free entry, exclusive rewards, fresh start for all players

May 28, 2026 — Screeps, the world’s first massively multiplayer real-time strategy game for programmers controlled entirely through JavaScript code, marks the tenth anniversary of its Early Access launch on Steam. To celebrate, the studio is launching Season 10 — a free Anniversary World open to all players — running from June 1 through August 1, 2026.

About the Game

In Screeps, players control their units and structures by writing real JavaScript code that run autonomously on the game’s servers — directing units to harvest resources, construct buildings, conquer territory, and expand across the world. The game has earned more than 1,900 reviews on Steam (86% positive).

Unlike many online games, Screeps has never stopped its persistent world. Since entering Early Access in June 2016 on a few servers, the game has expanded continuously — growing from a small map into a vast, sharded universe running across a distributed cluster of more than 40 dedicated servers. The world processes a game tick every few seconds executing players’ JavaScript code, it has been doing so without major interruption for ten years. Structures and colonies that players built in 2016 remain standing today, still running their owners’ code.


Anniversary Event

Screeps’ Seasonal Worlds are separate, temporary game worlds with modified rules that reset every three months, giving new and veteran players equal footing on a fresh map. Season 10 is the Anniversary Edition: the world opens June 1 and runs until August 1, 2026.

About the Studio

Screeps was founded in 2014 by Artem Chivchalov as a solo project. Over the following years it grew into a team of six, funded entirely by the community — first through a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo, then through Steam sales, with open-source contributors. Originally a Russia-based studio, the team faced severe disruption following international sanctions in 2022 — losing access to services, resources, and infrastructure, and ultimately relocating the business to Armenia. The game world ran without interruption throughout. The studio remains fully operational, with a remote team distributed across multiple countries.

Meeting these needs will require Zookeepers to craft habitats that mirror species’ natural environments, creating an authentic home for the animals and an amazing experience for the guests. 

A new world beneath the water awaits Zookeepers with fully aquatic species making their debut with a splash. Black-tipped Reef Sharks, Hawksbill Turtles, and colourful shoals of fish are just a handful of the fresh and saltwater animals joining Planet Zoo 2. Notably, aquariums are not simply placeable tanks but fully customisable habitats that grant players control over scenery, location, and more. Plus, Zookeepers will have to ensure their aquariums are kept in top condition with filtration and an airlock for staff to enter. 

Frequent flyers also enter the fold with aviaries featuring a mix of bright and brilliant fully flying birds, including the vibrant Toco Toucan and majestic Secretary Bird. Like aquariums, aviaries are fully editable, with players able to place scenery as they please.
