New Dragon Star Varnir Screenshots Released

Another new batch of screenshots and information for Dragon Star Varnir have been released by Idea Factory International and this time the focus happens to be placed on Huntery and Field Exploration. In the Huntery players can accept multiple side-quests that can reward players with extra rewards for doing things while exploring such as defeating a certain number of enemies, harvesting items, and more while also accessing the Books of Formation that can allow them to assume different formations to provide stat boosts during battle.

You can check out these screenshots below and keep an eye out for Dragon Star Varnir when it is released on the PlayStation 4 on June 11th in North America and June 14th in Europe.

Super Neptunia RPG Arrives in Late June

Idea Factory International has announced that they have now set a solid release date for Super Neptunia RPG in the West and it is a bit different than the norm as the PC version will actually be released first on June 20th while the console release on the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch will arrive on June 28th. The PC version will offer a 20% discount for one week after launch and while the Nintendo Switch version remains untouched similar to the PC version, the PlayStation 4 version of the game will have two “slightly modified” CGs.

The company also released a few new details for Super Neptunia RPG as to how the game will be played as it is stylized a bit different from the norm. Players will still explore dungeons as Neptune who will enter combat whenever she attacks or touches a monster with each battle giving players a chance to fight with up to four party members who will need to use their Action Points (AP) to make use of their skills. In battle players can swap between four different formations to increase various passive bonuses to best fit the situation and of course transform into their Goddess forms to unleash powerful attacks to devastate the enemy.

Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland’s Battle System Detailed

A new set of screenshots and a combat trailer have been released for Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland by Koei Tecmo alongside a bunch of new details regarding how the battle system will work in the game since these alchemists will face off against a number of threats while exploring the land of Arland for their raw materials.

Featuring a turn based combat system players will use a five member team featuring three attackers and two supporters that automatically perform Assist Attacks to compliment the attacker’s while the core combat force of the attackers will have a number of unique skills to strike at enemy weaknesses.

Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland also offers the ability for the alchemists to use the new Interrupt ability, offering the chance for them to perform a special Interrupt Skill and use a pre-equipped item, outside of their turn. Once the gauge is full from performing attacks, the skill can be triggered and the pre-equipped item will not be consumed when used.

Oninaki Introduces Some Characters in New Trailer

Square Enix has released some new information for their upcoming game Oninaki developed by Tokyo RPG Factory by detailing that players will journey as Kagachi, a young Watcher who embodies the tenets of reincarnation, and whose sacred duty is to usher Lost Souls into the next world. Upon meeting Linne, a mysterious young girl with no memory of her past, his fate becomes entwined with blood and death. During his journey, players will also meet Kushi, an exemplary Watcher and trusted leader, Mayura, a Watcher with a kind heart, and the malicious Night Devil, a swordsman from a forgotten time who is hunting Linne.

Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle Titan Transformation and Gatling Gameplay Highlighted

As previously mentioned Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle will feature a number of new enhancements over the original release of the game and now Koei Tecmo has released a pair of short videos that show off these features. The first of these happens to show off the Gatling style firearm that soldiers can now use to chip away at a Titan’s health from a distance before swooping in for a kill while the second shows off the actual Titan transformation gameplay elements that the newly added characters will be able to pull off.

It is worth noting that these trailers may have a bit of spoilers in them if you aren’t caught up with Attack on Titan but you can check them both out below.

Beginning this Friday, April 26, more than 300 teams divided across different regions will battle against each other in the Spring Split Group Stages with the top 24 teams advancing to the semi-finals. Samurai Shodown Ukyo Tachibana Gameplay Trailer Released

SNK has continued their series of character trailers for Samurai Shodown with this latest video introducing Ukyo Tachibana who is described by the company as a master of Iaijutsu who has been stricken with an incurable respiratory disease. Despite being ill Ukyo is as precise as ever with his deadly blade making him a powerful fighter and even though he is sick he remains quite popular with the ladies as demonstrated briefly in the video below.

Samurai Shodown is currently set to be released on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in June in North America and Europe with a Switch and PC version arriving sometime later this year.

Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation Arrives on PlayStation 4 Mid-June

Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation has now been given a release date for at least one of its planned platforms as Idea Factory International has announced that the PlayStation 4 version of the game will be released on June 18th in North America and June 21st in Europe. The PC version of the game, that will contain the original CGs found in the Japanese release compared to the two modified CGs found in the PlayStation 4 version, currently does not have a release date but will be given one in the near future.

Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation offers eleven different characters to choose from with over one hundred and fifty dating events with players able to make choices that will affect their overall destiny with the girls as they aim for each heroine’s true ending.

Planet Zoo Announced for PC

Frontier Developments, the studio that recently worked on Jurassic World Evolution, has announced plans to release a new zoo simulation game called Planet Zoo for PC sometime this fall. Players will be able to create an “ultimate zoo” that will feature “authentic living animals who think, feel and explore the world you create around them.”

The game will offer a campaign that will span the globe or allow players to have free reign in a Sandbox mode with both versions allowing players to create unique habitats and vast landscapes, make big decisions and meaningful choices, and nurture their animals. Rage 2 Explains Itself in New Trailer

With about two and a half weeks until Rage 2 is released Bethesda and Avalanche Studios have released a new trailer for the game that gives us a great look over everything that players can expect from the game. This includes a slight recap that details how the world ended up the way it did, the various enemy factions that players will need to mow down to accomplish their goals, and a look at the tools they will be able to use to do so.

With over eighty percent of the world’s population destroyed and the survivors dwindling in numbers numerous bloodthirsty gangs roam the open roads and the tyrannical Authority seek to rule with an iron fist. Players control Walker, the last Ranger, who was left for dead by the gangs after they destroyed his home and now it is time for a bit of justice and a lot of revenge. Rage 2 is currently slated to be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on May 14th.
