‘FISSION SUPERSTAR X’ LAUNCHES MAY 21 ON XBOX ONE AND PC

Experience a weird, relentless solar tour in this absurd space rogue-lite

May 2nd, 2019 — Turbo Pelvis 3000 inc. announce its space rogue-lite Fission Superstar X will launch May 21st on Xbox One and Windows PC for $14.99 — with respective pre-order and wishlist options available now! Blast off in Dr. Leopold’s bomber in this relentless shooter. Tour the solar system on a desperate randomly generated bomb run, facing impossible odds in an attempt to achieve the demented dream of an insane scientist.

Fission Superstar X takes place in a wacky version of the solar system, featuring nine unlockable ships, over 100 different crew members from humans to space bears, 64 different weapons both mundane and insane, over 20 different environments, and over 70 different enemy types including scavengers, fascist space cats, and giant insects. You’ll fight your way through over 20 different environments and face off against giant bosses on your journey through the solar system.

Fight using ranged and up-close weaponry while dodging and blocking attacks with your shield. Manage your ship to assemble the perfect crew and install the most destructive weapons, but be prepared to make some difficult decisions along the way – do you repair a damaged component, heal a wounded member of the crew, or upgrade your stats? Do you dock at a station and spend time dodging an angry Planetoid or skip that stop for an easier run through a colorful space aurora? It’s up to you to decide the best course of action! When a giant insect shrimp gives you a beating on Saturn, just hit the detonate button and blow up your nuclear superstar – that will show them!

You will die a lot in Fission Superstar X, and that will only make your eventual victory taste that much sweeter!

Hunt: Showdown Team Releases Update 6.0, New Boss

Hunt: Showdown Team Releases Update 6.0, New Boss

The Assassin – a challenging new boss – is now on the loose in Crytek’s multiplayer bounty hunting game

FRANKFURT, Germany  May 2, 2019 Hunt: Showdown fans have gotten their wish as Update 6.0, available now, brings a new boss to the playing field. The Assassin materializes in a whirlwind of bugs and rags, then spawns a pair of decoy clones in order to distract players as it comes in for the killing blow. Update 6.0 also contains six new weapons—the LeMat Revolver, Lebel Rifle, Bomb Lance, Alert Trip Mine, Concertina Trip Mine and Ammo Box—and three new traits—Vulture, Ghoul and Adrenaline. Players can get a look at all of these additions in a new video on the Hunt YouTube channel.

The new boss comes at the request of the Hunt community, and so Crytek has published an Assassin video dev diary in which Character Art Director Abdenour Bachir, Senior Character Artist Chris Goodswen, Junior Technical Designer Robert Green, and Lead Concept Artist Artem Shumnik discuss the creation process in light of the Assassin’s moves and attacks, gameplay features, prototyping tools and the testing process. For those who prefer the written word, a blog about the origin of the new AI, its creation and its inspiration can be found here.

In addition to the boss, weapons, and traits, Update 6.0 also adds more Hunter character variants, tweaks to improve the experience for brand-new players, and improved hiding and unhiding of world geometry to improve performance for all players. Players can get access to all of these additions immediately on Steam and follow the latest Hunt: Showdown news on the game’s website.

About Hunt: Showdown

Hunt: Showdown is a competitive first-person bounty hunting game that packs the thrill of survival games into a match-based format. Set in Louisiana in 1895, the game boasts a mixture of PvP and PvE elements that creates a uniquely tense experience. It’s not just the creatures who are a threat—it’s every Hunter on the map. In the classic game mode, a match of Hunt pits ten players—playing solo or in teams of two—against each other as they race to take out gruesome beasts for a bounty they must collect and get off of the map, while Hunt’s quickplay mode offers a shorter match for solo players to scavenge for weapons as they compete for a diminishing pool of bounty. The higher the risk, the higher the reward – but a single mistake could cost everything. Hunt is available now on Steam. For more information, visit https://www.huntshowdown.com/.

Samurai Shodown Trailer Highlights Shiki

Continuing with their series of character trailers SNK has released a fourth new trailer for Samurai Shodown introducing the dual-blade wielding Shiki, first appearing back in Samurai Shodown 64 back in 1997, who uses her speed to quickly move around the battlefield and unleash devastating combos, acrobatic special moves, and a deceptively deadly looking finishing move.

The video can be found below and as for the game itself Samurai Shodown is currently set to be released in Japan on June 27th on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and then releasing sometime in June in North America and Europe with a Switch and PC version arriving sometime later this year.

Epic Games Buys Rocket League Developers Psyonix

Epic Games announced they will be purchasing Rocket League developers Psyonix. The deal is scheduled to be finalized in late May to early June 2019. Psyonix says having access to Epic’s financial resources will allow them to increase the game’s reach and improve the Esports ecosystem. The exact terms of the purchase was not announced.

The future of Rocket League on PC has been the subject of intense speculation since the announcement. Psyonix originally announced the purchase would result in Rocket League being added to the Epic Games Store in the coming months, triggering concern the game may soon become an Epic Games Store exclusive. Psyonix later clarified their announcement, saying they plan on continuing to sell Rocket League on Steam and will continue to support the game on Steam.

The announcement did not sooth angry fans though. Since the news that Rocket League will be coming to Epic Games Store was announced, fans have review bombed Rocket League on Steam, causing the overall reviews to drop from very positive to mixed within the last 24 hours.

The possibility of Rocket League being turned into an Epic Games Store exclusive has been a popular topic in the rumour mills. As it stands, the move would be a huge coup for Epic Games, giving them one of Steam’s top played titles. However, the move would introduce some logistical issues. Even if the Steam version of the game was eventually pulled off the store, Steam owners would require ongoing updates to maintain parity with Epic Games Store versions of Rocket League. A smaller issue and possibly more short term issue is Epic Games Store currently lacks an equivalent service to Steam Workshop, which would leave a variety of maps and mods in limbo.

These new characters are Moze the Gunner who can summon her mech named Iron Bear for additional firepower, Amara the Siren that is a capable brawler that can summon ethereal fists to pummel her foes, FL4K the Beastmaster who can call upon loyal beasts to assist in battle, and Zane as the Operative that specializes in battlefield gadgets and these four must battle the fanatical Calypso Twins who are trying to unite the bandit clans and claim the galaxy’s ultimate power.

Neptunia Shooter Releases on May 21

In the short video found below players can see Neptune, IF, Compa, Noire, and others fight through six bullet-hell style stages filled with signature enemies from the series in an effort to put a stop to the “final boss” that transported them into this strange world while also racking up a high score to post on leaderboards.
