Sydney, AUSTRALIA – July 2, 20192K has announced the cover athletes for NBA® 2K20, the next iteration of the top-rated and top-selling NBA video game simulation series of the past 18 years*. Six-time NBA All-Star, three-time All-NBA First Team, three-time NBA All-Defensive Team and 2012 Olympic gold medallist Anthony Davis returns as cover star for the Standard and Deluxe Editions. Three-time NBA Champion, 13-time NBA All-Star, 2008 Olympic gold medallist and 2006 NBA Finals MVP Dwyane Wade will grace the cover of the Legend Edition.

These iconic players will grace the covers of NBA 2K20, marking the latest edition of the game that has defined basketball culture for over two decades. All editions of NBA 2K20 will be available worldwide on September 6, 2019.

NBA 2K20 is Davis’ first solo cover appearance for the franchise after being featured as part of NBA 2K16’s star-studded cover lineup. In another historic first, Dwayne Wade’s appearance on the NBA 2K20 Legend Edition marks the first time “Flash” has been featured on the cover of NBA 2K.

The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series will be available globally as a physical boxed product in stores for PlayStation®4 and Xbox One – as well as digitally on the PlayStation®Store, Microsoft Store, and the Epic Games store for Windows PC – on September 10.. The Surge 2 Developer Walkthrough Talks Weapons, Levels, and Enemies

Adam Hetenye, Head of Game Design at Deck13, sat down for a gameplay walkthrough of their upcoming game The Surge 2. The eight minute video shows off some of the changes made to the franchise since the first game launched in 2017.

Deck13 has made some improvements over the original game in terms of weapons, levels, and enemies. The weapons and equipment available has been increased, offering more options for players. The levels are much bigger than before, offering a variety of shortcuts and alternate paths through Jericho City. The AI has also been improved and should behave more realistically.

The Surge 2 is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and windows on the 24th of September.

A behind the scenes peek at the upcoming feature-length VR videogame. This month it’s monsters! *shudders*

Revealed last month, Doctor Who: The Edge Of Time is a feature-length VR videogame that will transport fans into a globally-beloved world of aliens, mystery and wonder. Players will embark on a brand-new and fully-interactive adventure, inspired by the show’s 55-year history and starring the Doctor’s current incarnation, played by Jodie Whittaker. 
 
This month, developer Maze Theory is proud to reveal a series of behind the scenes videos, showcasing some of the monsters which will appear in the game, as well as a developer diary chronicling their journey in bringing the universe of Doctor Who to VR. 
 
Doctor Who: The Edge Of Time will launch on PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Vive Cosmos in September 2019. Stay tuned for further reveals!

  1. The weeping angels utilise a classic horror game mechanic, so the team have been excited to work with them.
  2. Daleks in VR are incredibly imposing. Getting up close to them, seeing the textures of the metal and reflectivity are awe-inspiring (in a terrifying kind of way!).
  3. Jump scares work really well in VR! They are a brilliant technique. Be warned.
  4. Being able to create new monsters for the show and add to the canon is hugely exciting. We’re making Doctor Who history!
  5. When working in VR, because people can move around, get up close and experience the monsters from any angle, it’s really important to get the quality and accuracy just right. It feels very real!

Hydrorks are brand-new and unique to Doctor Who: The Edge of Time. They are vicious amphibians, sometimes used as guards by races like the Stenza and Zygons. They are incredibly eerie, slimy and have a penchant for staring at you! These deadly carnivores have no table manners and possess a real taste for human flesh, with their hunger never being sated.

A horrific nightmare fully realised in VR for the first time. A terrifying and powerful species of quantum-locked humanoids who are as old as the universe. They appear to be ‘weeping’ because they cover their eyes so as not to get frozen for eternity by other angels. Be warned, you think you know fast and frightening? Experience them in VR. 

Daleks Video
Incredibly imposing in VR, Daleks hail from the planet Skaro and their main leader  – Davros – is an evil scientist of the Kaled race. They were once Kaleds but were badly mutated from nuclear war. Davros genetically modified them, integrating them with a tank-like robotic shell and removing every emotion apart from hate. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Releasing two months earlier than previous iterations, players can now pick up their copy of F1 2019 for the PlayStation® 4 computer entertainment system and the Xbox One family of devices including the Xbox One X. With the longest development cycle of any Codemasters® F1 game, F1 2019 features a series of firsts, including the 2018 FIA Formula 2 Championship™ where players can compete alongside F1 rookies Lando Norris, George Russell and Alexander Albon. The game launches with the F2™ Feeder Series; a scenario-based introduction that alters the outcome of the game, based on the player’s success, actions and responses. The F2™ 2019 season will be added via a free digital download later in the year.*

Another first is driver transfers that appear in Career Mode and often occur at the end of each season. Established stars, including current F1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton and arch-nemesis Sebastian Vettel, can form an unlikely partnership or continue their rivalry in the racing colors of completely new teams. All new contracts are based on performance, so talent will have the opportunity to sign for a title contender with a series of strong results or be relegated to a team whose goals are much less ambitious.

F1 2019 features 18 classic cars celebrating every decade from the 1970s through to 2010. Players can re-live great moments from yesteryear in the best performing cars of their generation, including the 1972 Lotus 72D, 1988 McLaren MP4/4, 1996 Williams FW18 through to the 2010 Red Bull RB6. In addition, the F1 2019 Legends Edition features Ayrton Senna’s McLaren MP4/5B and Alain Prost’s Ferrari F1-90, alongside the McLaren MP4-25 and the Ferrari F10, part of the F1 2019 Anniversary Edition. Players can also customize a 2019 regulation car, created in collaboration with Ross Brawn and Pat Symonds, with a series of liveries and playable online in Multiplayer mode.

With the F1 New Balance Esports Series continuing to grow at pace, players can keep updated with the latest news, event details, watch livestreams and highlights all through the new in-game Esports area. Later this year, players who wish to compete competitively and try to win a place on one of the ten F1 teams can register and take part in future heats directly through the game.

Children of Morta Signature Edition Retail Contents Revealed

Dead Mage and 11 bit studios revealed the contents of the Children of Morta Signature Edition today. This special retail edition of the game is being published by Merge Games through their Signature Edition Games storefront. The game will cost £39.99 GBP or $72.86 AUD. It contains a region-free copy of the game for the Switch, a pocket art book, an art card, a certificate with a picture of the Bergson family, and six enamel pins representing the game’s six combat styles. The Signature Edition is available for pre-order and will ship alongside the game’s release in September.

A brand new gameplay teaser trailer has been released to accompany the announcement. The trailer is extremely short, showing off the game’s pixelated art style and a few quick shots of combat.

Children of Morta is a rogue-like action RPG coming to the Switch and PC this September. The game stars the Bergson family. “Heartbeat,” the title song from BTS WORLD’s OST, first debuted exclusively in the mobile game on June 26. Crytek Announces Release Date for Hunt: Showdown and Partners With Koch Media for Physical Distribution

Crytek’s online multiplayer bounty hunting game to release on three platforms this year

FRANKFURT (Germany), June 28, 2019 – Today Crytek announced that its multiplayer bounty hunting game, Hunt: Showdown, will see a full release on three major platforms this year. Hunt: Showdown for Windows PC and Xbox One will launch on Aug. 20, 2019, for 39.99 USD/EUR. Meanwhile, PlayStation®4 players will see their own full release of the online game this fall. In addition to this digital release, Crytek is partnering with Koch Media to bring the retail version of Hunt to stores worldwide.

Hunt: Showdown launched in early access on Steam in February 2018 and Xbox Game Preview in May 2019. Both platforms allowed the Hunt team the unique opportunity to front a community-driven development process, taking player feedback onboard and integrating it into the game’s development roadmap.
