Silver Pines | Launch Trailer

Key features

  • An experience of mystery and dread: Embark on a journey filled with atmospheric dread. The small town of Silver Pines is waiting to reveal its dark secrets.
  • Survival-horror gameplay: A love letter to classic survival-horror, from a unique 2.5D perspective. Fight or evade the terrors of the town as you scavenge for resources and solutions to the puzzles blocking your way.
  • Metroidvania navigation: Filled with locked doors and hidden paths, every turn holds an uncovered clue, a new tool, resource… or something waiting in the dark.
  • Visceral, grounded action: Overcome the horrors populating the town that keep every heart-stopping encounter tense and dangerous.
  • Resource & inventory management: Inventory space is limited! Search everywhere for items because every bullet, bottle of medicine, and upgrade matters.

  • Suspicious townsfolk: Meet and interact with Silver Pines’ strange cast of characters making up its populace, as you delve into the mysteries they keep from outsiders.

Linus Larsson, co-founder, Wych Elm, said: “Silver Pines is four years in the making, and the road here has been a long and strange one for our five person team. We’re thrilled to finally be able to welcome everyone to experience our small town descent into the surreal. Silver Pines is our art house love letter to survival-horror, metroidvania and ’90s neo noir detective fiction. Those influences are baked into the strange little town we’ve created, and we hope to give players an experience we’re so often treated to in movies but so rarely in games.”

Harley Homewood, General Manager, team17, said: “It’s a joy to work with those you know and trust. And Wych Elm, made up from developers who designed the BAFTA-winning Yoku’s Island Express for team17, haven’t disappointed. From rotoscoped motion capture to some unnerving narrative design, they’ve innovated and delivered something unique in such a tried and tested genre.”

The standard version Silver Pines is available now with a 10% discount across all platforms, with an RRP of £21.99/$24.99/€24.99; a deluxe edition of the game, which includes a digital artbook and soundtrack, is priced at £27.99/$31.99/€31.99.

Arctic Drive free demo out now on Steam

8th of October 2026, Finland — Finnish publisher Bonus Stage and developers PlayTogether Studio and Pebbles Games today released a free demo of Arctic Drive, a vehicle-based survival and crafting game set in a frozen, storm-swept wilderness. The demo is available now on Steam, ahead of the game’s Early Access launch on 25 November 2026.

In Arctic Drive, your car is your lifeline. Players drive into the unknown, search points of interest for parts and supplies, and keep their vehicle running against the cold. Every find matters: bolt salvaged parts onto your car, scrap used gear into crafting materials at workbenches, and trade up to better vehicles as you push deeper north.

The demo gives players their first run through a demo scenario, including biomes with roads that narrow and widen as the terrain changes, frequent blizzards, and the full scavenge–scrap–upgrade loop.

Players who enjoy the demo can wishlist Arctic Drive on Steam to be notified when Early Access opens on 25 November.

Key features
– Your car is your base. Drive, explore and survive from behind the wheel in a hostile arctic landscape.
– Scavenge and upgrade. Search points of interest for parts and fit them to your vehicle — or find a better car altogether.
– Scrap and craft. Break down used gear into materials and craft what you need, from warming protein bars to better tires and repair kits.
– Weather that fights back. Snowstorms roll in often and change how, and whether you can push on.
– Roads that shift with the land. Varied biomes with roads that narrow and widen as the terrain changes.
– Scenarios to complete. Goal-driven runs give every journey north a purpose.

Since the full team of developers and publishers are made of people from the arctic and car mechanics in their past lives, we know what it means when you have to rely on your car when it’s minus thirty degrees. “Arctic Drive turns that feeling into a game: every part you find and every gallon of fuel you save keeps you moving. We want players to try the demo, tell us what they think, and help shape the game before Early Access”, said Sami Mikkola, founder of Bonus Stage Publishing.

The Last Gas Station Opens a Winter Resort This November

Return years later as a new protagonist and transform the familiar roadside stop into a bustling winter destination

[October 8, 2026] — Alawar today announced The Last Gas Station: Winter Resort, a brand new DLC launching on Steam on November 18. Years have passed, and the old gas station has changed hands. Players will return to its familiar grounds as a new protagonist – a raccoon with ambitious plans to turn the little roadside stop into a full-fledged winter resort.

Instead of serving travelers who stay for only a few minutes, players will welcome tourists spending their holidays at the resort. Build an ice rink and ski slopes, organize winter tours, provide cozy accommodation, and expand into new services such as equipment rental and dining.

Winter Resort places a greater emphasis on management while retaining the familiar store, register, and fuel-pump activities of the base game. Players will need to maintain their facilities, manage supplies, develop the resort’s power infrastructure, and eventually recruit automated helpers to keep the growing operation running smoothly. And despite all the changes, the old gas station is not going anywhere – not everyone in the backwoods has switched to an EV just yet.

Key Features:

  • Build your winter resort: set up an ice rink and ski slopes, organize winter tours, and give tourists cozy places to stay.
  • Open new services: clear out the old store’s back rooms and turn them into a rental counter and a diner. Fit guests with winter gear, manage supplies, order ingredients, and prepare food for hungry vacationers.
  • Keep the resort running: clear snow, maintain your new services and equipment, and make sure everything is ready for the next wave of guests.
  • Expand and automate: develop the resort’s power infrastructure and bring in automated helpers to take care of cleaning, restocking, and helping guests.

The Last Gas Station: Winter Resort launches on Steam on November 18. Wishlist the DLC now and prepare to spend the winter holidays at the gas station.

Equal parts cyberpunk and mythology, Neon Abyss 2 is Veewo Games’ love letter to roguelike action-platformers. Struck down in New Athens, players quickly learn the only thing that comes easily is death as they venture into the pixelated, cyberpunk, mythology-inspired world known as The Abyss.

The game’s roguelike loop sees up to four players descend through eight procedurally generated levels as they stack item synergies, hatchmon combinations and new weapon affixes to wreak havoc with.

The Abyss is always shifting, and as of today, this loop is complete with a new final boss, Theia: Goddess of Vanity, and an all-new game mode, Storm Breach, that are available for players to sink their bullets into.

BrokenLore: ASCEND, a Fear-of-Heights Horror Climb Up an Officially Licensed Tokyo Tower

Climb in the dark, hide from a yōkai with a stretching neck and try not to look down.

October 7, 2026 – Tokyo-based horror publisher Serafini Productions and Singapore-based publisher Soft Source announced that BrokenLore: ASCEND, a first-person psychological horror game set on an officially licensed recreation of Tokyo Tower, will launch on January 7, 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The news also brings attention to BrokenLore: MIKI-CHAN, the next chapter of the BrokenLore series, revealed last week.

In BrokenLore: ASCEND, players follow Ren and Yui, two rooftop climbers who live for views and likes on their channel, SKYLIMIT. Looking for the stunt that will top everything they have done before, they sneak into Elysium Tower, the tallest building in Japan, for a forbidden climb at night. Halfway up, the stunt turns into a fight to survive.

In the game, Tokyo Tower becomes Elysium Tower, the tallest building in Japan. Something is waiting on its steel beams: the Rokurokubi, a yōkai from Japanese folklore who looks like an ordinary woman until her neck starts to stretch and twist like a snake.

Every step counts. Players climb along exposed ledges, stay out of the Rokurokubi’s sight and think through each move before they make it. For Ren and Yui, a fall is not only the end of the climb. It is the end of the fame and attention they have built their whole identity around.

KEY FEATURES

  • First-Person Free Climbing: Hold on to ledges and beams high above the city. One careless move and the climb is over.
  • Stealth on the Edge: Hide from the Rokurokubi as she hunts you across the tower, with nowhere to run.
  • Fear of Heights: Height, wind and darkness turn the climb itself into a source of fear.
  • A Real Tokyo Landmark: An officially licensed Tokyo Tower, reimagined as the cursed Elysium Tower.
  • Part of the BrokenLore Saga: A standalone story that also adds new pieces to the wider BrokenLore universe.

AVAILABILITY

BrokenLore: ASCEND launches on January 7, 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Players can wishlist the game today.

Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4051470/BrokenLore_ASCEND/
PlayStation Store: https://store.playstation.com/en-us/concept/10016943
Epic Games Store: https://store.epicgames.com/p/brokenlore-ascend-3a6cd3

ALSO FROM BROKENLORE: MIKI-CHAN

Revealed last week, BrokenLore: MIKI-CHAN is a first-person psychological horror game set in a Japanese high school, coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Kazuaki is a student preparing for a tough university entrance exam. When he plugs in a mysterious thumb drive, he finds a study program and MIKI-CHAN, a cheerful AI anime assistant who promises to help him succeed. Soon she becomes jealous and possessive. The world around Kazuaki starts to fall apart. His only way through is the Rewriter, a strange tool that can change the reality of the simulation.

Players may recognize MIKI-CHAN from BrokenLore: DON’T LIE, where she first appeared as a helpful AI companion. Her own game shows a much darker side of her and explores trust, emotional dependence and our relationship with AI.
