NEW AWAKENING, HEROES AND UPDATES ARRIVE FOR ANIME-INSPIRED MOBILE RPG KNIGHTS CHRONICLE

LOS ANGELES (August 14, 2019) – Today, Netmarble Corp. released an all-new update for the anime-inspired mobile role-playing game (RPG) Knights Chronicle that includes the new Awakening of fan-favorite Support Hero Karen, allowing her to acquire new passive skills. Karen is a Water Support Hero whose pre-awakening abilities include a leader skill that buffs Water/Light allies’ HP recovery Amount by 20%, and a passive that grants 10% healing over time to the lowest HP ally.

New heroes have also arrived to Knights Chronicle, including Eurora and Baskerville. And Baskerville can be acquired in the guild shop! Starting now through August 28, ‘Erandel’ Advent Dungeon will be available for players to enjoy in an attempt to acquire an ‘Advent Event Ticket,’ which can be used to summon Eurora.

Other additions to Knights Chronicle include:

  • Auto Repeat – Players can now set the number of rounds when auto-repeating cleared stages
  • Guild Shop – New changes have been added, granting players access to the SSR Hero Ticket

Earlier this year, PUBG MOBILE teamed up with Resident Evil 2 to give the classic battleground a sinister undead makeover with the introduction of zombie mode. “Monkey King: Hero is Back” Overview
The game is based on the thrilling Chinese action fantasy movie “Monkey King: Hero is Back” that was released in theaters in 2015, and tells the story of a young boy named Liuer and his adventures with the Monkey King, Sun Wukong, who is released after having been imprisoned for 500 years. Known by movie fans worldwide as one of the premier examples of Chinese animation, the movie went on to set a box office record for animated movies in China at the time, grossing more than 160 million EUR upon its release.

With “Monkey King: Hero is Back” for PlayStation®4, Sony Interactive Entertainment has teamed up with Oct Animation Studio, the studio behind the movie’s breathtaking visuals, to create a game faithful to the look and feel of the movie.

First U-boats ready for testing

August, 14 2019 – Developer and publisher Wargaming today confirmed they’re working on adding submarines as playable vessels in World of Warships, the premier online naval combat game. Closed testing will begin in a couple of weeks and as usual players participating in the World of Warships Supertest program will be the first to try out and provide feedback on the new vehicle class.

The initial test phase will feature four playable submarines representing the US Navy and the German Kriegsmarine. More details about submarine models and their unique features will be revealed at Gamescom 2019.

The fundamental nature of naval warfare shifted drastically with the coming of advanced submarines and the new tactics they introduced. Going below sea level will open a completely new dimension for players, who have been asking for this iconic class of ships since the game was launched in 2015. Right now, World of Warships offers more than 300 historical warships to play with, divided into four different ship classes – destroyers, cruisers, battleships, and aircraft carriers.

Munich / Milan, August 14th –  THQ Nordic AB’s indirectly wholly owned subsidiary Koch Media GmbH, Höfen, has today entered into an agreement to acquire the Milan based Milestone s.r.l., a leading game developer and publisher behind successful racing games like MotoGP and Supercross.

The acquisition includes the development studio and all intellectual property rights.

Milestone is a software company founded in 1994 under the name Graffiti. Since 1996, the family owned business with currently around 200 staff is known as Milestone.

Over the years, Milestone produced legendary racing games such as Screamer for Virgin, The Superbike series for Electronic Arts, and WRC for Black Bean to name but a few. 2011/12 Milestone started its own publishing business for licensed IPs and games with the MotoGP series. Growing healthy, based on the experience of the teams at Milestone, 2013 marked the entry of the MXGP series. The company launched its first own franchise Ride in 2015, adding the official Monster Energy Supercross series in 2018. RIDE:

MotoGP is the longest lasting game franchise in Milestone history, starting back in 2007. MotoGP19 was released recently and is critically acclaimed by press and fans alike. Core to the success of the game is the A.N.N.A. (artificial neural network agent) which simulates the learning of NPCs and guarantees for a unique gaming experience with every race. Implementing this new form of AI to a videogame is a unique and unmatched achievement from Milestone. MotoGP is a well-known franchise in eSports and gains attention across the world with more than 15,000 participants per year and major sponsors such as Michelin, BMW and Red Bull supporting the competitions.

MXGP:

MXGP is the officially licensed motocross world championship by Youstream. The next chapter in the franchise history is set to release shortly and will include new features such as track editor and full customization support for riders and vehicles.

Supercross:

Monster Energy Supercross, licensed by Feld, is the most important US motorbike sport. Across the two already released iterations, the franchise sold over 1 million copies and Supercross 3 is due to be released in early 2020. It will be the first Milestone game that will also be released on Google Stadia.
