Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIV Confirmed for the West

It didn’t take long for Koei Tecmo to assure Western fans of strategy games that Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIV will indeed be heading West sometime in early 2020. The company has revealed that the game will be releasing in North America and Europe for the PlayStation 4 and PC and have released some new details about the game as well as a handful of sceenshots and a trailer.

The latest iteration of the classic tactical series is once again set during the fall of the Han Dynasty in ancient China; where battles take place in a boundary-free scramble for land. The game’s map showcases the territory captured and the thrill of expansion using a simplified color system, paying homage to the original released on PC back in 1985. Everything from war to diplomatic affairs will be geared toward managing and gathering land as players attempt to spread their strategies at will across the vast China map.

In addition, this entry will adopt the ruler-based system from Romance of the Three Kingdoms 9 and 11 in order to help return classic gameplay to the series. This means that all actions – from domestic, to political, to battle – will now take place on a single map. Greater individuality among characters will also be on display; with officers from the Three Kingdoms, like Liu Bei and Guan Yu, asserting themselves at various situations in order to fully immerse players into the game’s rich history. But that’s not all, as a new Evolved Artificial Intelligence system is also being implemented to challenge players across repeated playthroughs.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Multiplayer Reveal Trailer

For some time now fans have been wondering just how the multiplayer in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare would look and now Activision and Infinity Ward have debuted the mode with a new reveal trailer as well as some closed and open beta dates. The PlayStation 4 exclusive beta will run from September 12th to the 13th for pre-orders with an open beta lasting from September 14th to the 16th while other consoles will have a chance to play the beta on September 19th and 20th with pre-orders and with the open beta on September 21st through the 23rd on all platforms.

Players can jump into new play spaces that redefine Call of Duty multiplayer, from quick-action, close-quarters two-versus-two experiences in Gunfight, traditional six-versus-six multiplayer gameplay, modes that support 10-versus-10 and 20-versus-20 firefights, along with high-player count maps and combat, such as the all-new Ground War, an epic large-scale mode supporting more than 100-players.

With a complete weapon overhaul and the most choices in Call of Duty history, players will be able to outfit their multiplayer operators for every combat encounter, with unprecedented customization and modifiability in the new Gunsmith system. Modern Warfare features cutting-edge visuals, authentic sound design, with realistic recoil and weapon ballistics throughout the game. In addition, gameplay mechanics, including bullet penetration, gun mounting, door breaching and night vision multiplayer gameplay maps featuring night vision goggles (NVGs), allow for an amazing tactical experience.

You can check out the reveal trailer and some screenshots below and keep an eye out for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare when it is released on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on October 25th.

The Church in the Darkness Launches on PC and Consoles

Fellow Traveller and Paranoid Productions announced their stealth thriller The Church in the Darkness is available now on Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game regularly costs $19.95 USD, but the price is being axed by 20% as part of the launch sale. Players will sneak around the compound called Freedom Town to discover more about the cult through literature and conversation. Each playthrough will be different, as the cult’s motivations and behaviour is randomly generated each time. The game offers multiple endings, each influenced by the cult’s intentions and the player’s actions.

Play the ridiculous new uncooperative multiplayer shooter before it launches on August 13!

AUSTIN, TX — Aug. 2, 2019 — Rooster Teeth Games has announced it’s hosting a free open beta weekend on Steam for Vicious Circle, the fast-paced uncooperative multiplayer shooter in which four mercenaries compete for loot against a terrifying monster — and each other. Beginning today at 6 PM ET/3 PM PT and ending Monday, August 5, at 1 PM ET/10 AM PT, open beta lets players try the over-the-top comic- and sci-fi-inspired game before it officially releases on August 13 and grab an exclusive cosmetic spray to use in-game at launch.

Rooster Teeth has also revealed a brand-new character trailer for the playable mechanical mercenary CR45H & BURN, a sentient industrial robot and her counterpart, a psychotic fire baby. CR45H & BURN is voiced by Rooster Teeth’s own Lindsay and Michael Jones. Michael and Lindsay are both members of Achievement Hunter and star in several original Rooster Teeth series and films, including RWBY, Camp Camp, Red vs. Blue, gen:LOCK, and Lazer Team.

In each round of Vicious Circle, one player is selected to become a massive, unstoppable creature with a simple goal: kill all four mercenaries. The mercs can be formidable when working together, so divide and conquer, using your enhanced senses and powerful abilities to scatter foes in a panic, hunt them down and pick them off one by one.

Mercs can team up with their rivals to survive, but only the player with the most loot wins. And that means playing dirty every chance you get. Use your gadgets and the environment to mess with your adversaries: lock doors to slow them down, trap them in rooms with the monster, and suck loot out from under them. Should you join forces against the monster hunting you down, or sneak away to gain the upper hand while everyone else is busy? The choice is yours, but remember — what goes around comes around!

Vicious Circle officially launches on Aug. 13, 2019, on Windows PC and is available to wishlist now on Steam. For more information, visit www.ViciousCircleGame.com.

Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town Screenshots Highlight Mary, Elli, and More

Early last month it was revealed that Marvelous was working on Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town, a remake of an older game in the franchise, and now the company has released some screenshots and artwork showing off some of the bachelorettes and bachelors that will be in the game as well as a bit of farming, animal raising, the town, and some in-game events.

The girls introduced this time are Mary, a girl who loves books and is writing one herself and works at the front desk of her father’s library, and Elli who is a serious and hardworking girl that works at the town hospital with the hope of becoming a nurse. The boys happen to be Gray, a blacksmith in training that can be rude and stressed at times but his careless attitude changes when meeting the player, as well as the game’s doctor that always is thinking about the patient and has a serious personality but he does want to interact more cheerfully with his patients.

Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town is currently set to be released on the Nintendo Switch in Japan on October 17th and has already been confirmed for release in the West sometime in the future.

Devil’s Hunt Coming to PC on September 17th

1C Entertainment (Re-Legion) and Layopi Games announced major changes to the release schedule for their third person action game Devil’s Hunt. The PC version will release on schedule on September 17th via Steam. The console version of the game has been delayed until Q1 2020. There is a silver lining for gamers though. For PC gamers, the console delay means developers Layopi Games will have more time to polish the PC version. For console gamers, a Switch version of the game has just been announced. It will launch alongside the previously announced PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions.

Devil’s Hunt stars Desmond, an all-round unpleasant individual who now finds himself as humanity’s unlikely hero after making a deal with the devil. Now he’s punching his way through Heaven, Hell, and everything in between as he picks sides in the war between angels and demons.
