Baron: Fur is Gonna Fly Lands on Nintendo
Switch, Xbox One, PC Today
PERTH, Australia – March
4, 2020 –Baron: Fur is Gonna Fly, the frenzied aerial shooter from Dogmelon Games, takes to the skies today on Nintendo Switch,
Xbox One and Steam.
It’s 1917 and the age of aviation is in full flight. The glory of soaring through the air has attracted patriotic animals to the world of aeronautics. Jump into the pilot seat as a cocky duck, a surprisingly compact bear, and six other anthropomorphized critters. Do a barrel a roll, loop-the-loop, and gun down the competition in dogfights to command the skies.
Choose one of four
biplanes inspired by early 20th century designs, each with their own stats,
including handling, shields, and speed. Developed by an aircraft engineer, Baron’s
chaotic aerial battles are designed to strike a balance between nuanced physics
and over-the-top fun. Every plane comes equipped with a wild-spraying Gatling
gun and one of 13 special weapons, such as the gravity sucking Black Hole,
giant crushing Anvils, and repulsive Stinky Fish.
Up to eight player
showdowns take place on stylized landscapes across a variety of single and
multiplayer modes. It’s every beast for themselves in free-for-all, or duke it
out in team battles to determine who’s the flyest squad around. Master how to
fly and craft the perfect loadout in Training mode, then grab a friend to fend
off a flock of invaders in Sheep Attack.
“Baron: Fur is Gonna
Fly takes aviation combat sims to new heights with dogfights featuring
actual dogs,” said Anthony Wiese, Co-Developer, Dogmelon Games. “We’re excited
to share our wild alternate world now that it’s available for PC, Nintendo
Switch, and Xbox One.”
Baron: Fur is Gonna Fly is available for $19.99 USD on Steam, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One. It supports
English, Chinese and Japanese on PC, with more to come post-launch.

Massive and Ubisoft have released the first expansion for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, Warlords of New York. The expansion brings players back to New York City to explore four iconic neighborhoods as they hunt for Aaron Keener.
Warlords of New York marks the switch to a season based system for The Division 2. Every three months will introduce a new system complete with its own exclusive rewards, quests, and cosmetics. Experience is gained from all activities, with bonuses offered through seasonal activities and XP multiplier events.
The new expansion will also raise the level cap to 40. Those who do not buy the expansion will still benefit from the changes to the core systems, such as improvements to the UI and the new RPG 2.0 system.
Money. Wealth. Fame. The basic earthly needs that drive us forward in life. Well, for our protagonist of Curse of the Dead Gods, such goals got him in a load of trouble. His quest for the untold riches got him to an accursed temple, filled with deadly traps and monsters. Oh and curses as well (can’t have an accursed temple without some). Technically, everything you seek for is already there, you just need to get to it – alive.
Curse of the Dead Gods is a bleak and depressing version of Torchlight with some Darkest Dungeon vibe thrown into the mix. The story is minimalistic and at this point, it feels like a design choice which I doubt will change even once the game is out of early access. And that’s not a bad thing at all. There is a certain allure in the game without handholding that’s based on the trial and error approach and that’s where Curse of the Dead Gods truly shines. The first time you will encounter some gameplay mechanics that will take time to master and the most useful tutorial in the game (for me, at least) only appeared after I died.
You find yourself in a poorly lit temple, with only a torch and some basic weapons. You try to find your way out of this maze, before stumbling upon a map forcing you to select your next path in the neverending labyrinth. My first forage deeper into the temple did not go well. This game pulls no punches regarding its difficulty. Mobs of enemies won’t just dumbly stand around while one of the attacks you. Oh no. They’re quick, aggressive and coordinated. sometimes your only choice is to utilize the roll button and lure them into traps to chip away some of their health. With that said, I didn’t get further than a second floor but it was all a lesson. Despite being in early access, Curse of the Dead Gods is far more polished than most of the other indie roguelikes in that bunch (not that the selection is great, but still). My second run taught me how to utilize some advanced combos (such as precision shooting, charge attacks and combos) so I ventured a bit further this time around. Only on my third run, I discovered the sacred roll button. It’s something that will be your trusty companion and a lifesaver as you zig-zag through the mobs of the undead. With proper timing, you can completely avoid the attack and counter with your own. I ended my run with a bigger selection of bows, swords, and guns. And that’s the beauty of this game. You don’t get stronger with each play, you just get better at playing and don’t hide behind the stats. It’s an unforgiving roguelike that will keep you coming back for more.
As for the visuals, the game boasts a simple yet effective cell shading approach. The lightning is well done and that’s understandable since most of the game revolves around explorations so the corridors can be anything except boring (and without loot). The music is nothing to write about but at this stage, I can’t expect every aspect of the game to impress me. One impressive bit is that in my playtime of a couple of hours, I have yet to encounter a single major bug (take notes, Bethesda!) or a crash. Besides some incorrect hitboxes and enemies teleporting faster than usual, there was nothing on technical side that could impact my game sessions. Another bonus point goes to the incredibly low requirements for the game and buttery smooth optimization. As of right now, Passtech Games team has an extensive roadmap for the game with more traps, blessings, curses, and weapons to be added. While the game launched with a decent amount of content, it’s only a sample of bigger and better things to come.
In any case, if you’re looking for an engaging roguelike to play, floors to ravage, gold to salvage and enemies to die from – look no further. Even at this stage, Curse of the Dead Gods has enough to entice you for a purchase. At the core of the game lies an addictive gameplay loop that is a foundation for every successful RPG, roguelike or a platformer. We’re currently in a slow season regarding game releases so if you’re looking for something engaging to fill this month of March, this should be your pick. If at any point you get stuck or don’t know what strategy to use, you can always jump into the friendly Discord server of the game and ask for advice from the professionals (aka people that played way more than you). Who knows, you might find yourself sticking around for more than that in this game.
Passtech Games and Focus Home Interactive released their action rogue-like Curse of the Dead Gods on Steam Early Access today. Passtech Games is hoping to release the game in full by the end of 2020 if everything goes smoothly. The plan is to release major content updates every month with smaller bug fixes scattered in between.
The current version of Curse of theDeadGods is mostly feature complete with the Jaguar section ready to play. The final game will have three full complete sections.
Curse of the Dead Gods is currently priced at $14.99 USD/$21.95 AUD on Steam. The price will rise as more content is released in the coming months.

A New Chapter in The Division
Franchise, and a New Map in Lower Manhattan
In Tom Clancy’s The Division 2
Warlords of New York, Division Agents will go on the ultimate manhunt for Aaron
Keener, a former Agent who has now gone rogue. Keener, along with his network
of Rogue Agents, is now a major threat to the burgeoning rebirth of
civilization. To track down Keener, Agents will roam the untamed living
open-world of Lower Manhattan; a former Dark Zone that was hit by a devastating
hurricane that struck New York City harder than anywhere else in the US. Set 8
months after the events that occurred in the first game, Agents are tasked to
explore 4 new named zones, each crafted at a 1:1 New York scale, including Two
Bridges, Civic Center, Battery Park and Financial District. Before confronting
Keener, players must first track down and take on each of his Rogue Agents.
Each Rogue Agent has their own unique back story – and a new skill that would
be earned once the Rogue Agent is taken down.
The Introduction of
Seasons and Return of Global Events
The Division 2 Warlords of New York will also introduce a new
post-launch philosophy: Seasons – a 3-month-long themed endgame event,
introduced as its own narrative-driven mini campaign featuring a new main
target and connecting network to track down. Each Season offers new gameplay
experiences with different stories and unique rewards. The first Season begins
March 10. In addition to the Seasonal Manhunt, Seasons will offer new in-game
activities. Leagues are a series of challenges for players, with opportunities
to unlock rewards based on players’ ability to complete such challenges. Players
will also see the return of Global Events, time-limited in-game events during
which a global modifier is applied to the entire game and players will be
rewarded by completing specific tasks. During each Season, players will grow
their Season Level to unlock various rewards by participating in the various
seasonal activities or even simply playing the game. Players interested in
collecting additional rewards can acquire a Season Pass. The first Season Pass
will be free for all players of The Division 2 Warlords of New York. More
information on Seasons and the Season Pass can be found here.
Full RPG Overhaul, More Meaningful Loot and Revitalized Dark Zones
After receiving community
feedback, core gameplay enhancements have been implemented across various
topics such as build diversity, gear streamlining and even more meaningful
loot.
Available both for The Division 2 and The Division 2 Warlords of New York players, Title Update 8 includes an RPG system overhaul, allowing players to better read and manage their gear inventory. The UI screen will be updated to always show the roll ranges for each stat on a piece of gear or weapon. The overhaul also includes the return of god rolls, improving readability and helping players make better decisions on the gear’s usefulness to their build. Additionally, players will see a more streamlined gear recalibration system, with item and stat usefulness indicators, as well as permanent attribute and stat storage at the recalibration station, simplifying inventory management and giving Agents the flexibility to plan the perfect build. With the new recalibration stat-storing system, players have new goals to reach as they aim to find the best loot in the game and extract powerful gear and weapon attributes for future use and build crafting.
The three existing Dark Zones in The Division 2 have also been revitalized, returning to simplified rogue mechanics. The focus is on rewarding player-to-player interaction, whether its fighting against each other or helping a fellow Agent against a tough Rogue player. Some of the most powerful loot will only be found in the Dark Zones. All loot is contaminated and must be extracted, ensuring for higher risk and reward gameplay interactions at the extraction zones.
In The Division 2 Warlords of
New York, the players’ level cap will increase from Level 30 to Level 40, but
it doesn’t stop there. The Division 2 Warlords of New York is also introducing
an infinite progression system called SHD levels, and 4 new skills that can be
used throughout the game: The Decoy, Shock Trap and two variants of the fan
favorite Sticky Bomb Launcher. Owners of the expansion will also get access to
new gear and new weapons, including Exotics.
Led by Massive Entertainment in collaboration with
seven other studios around the world**, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is the next
evolution in the open-world online shooter RPG genre that the first game helped
establish. Set seven months after a deadly virus was released in New York City,
Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 brings players into a fractured and collapsing
Washington D.C. The world is on the brink, its people living through the biggest
crisis ever faced in human history. As veteran Division agents, players are the
last hope against the complete fall of society as enemy factions vie for
control of the city. If Washington D.C. is lost, the entire nation falls.
Building upon more than two years of listening to and learnings from The
Division community, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 will offer a substantial
campaign that organically flows into a robust endgame, to create a cohesive and
meaningful experience for all types of players, helping players emphasize their
freedom to make strategic choices and hone their own approach.

full release of Nocturne will arrive on PC and Nintendo Switch in 2023.
Humanity is extinct, but an echo of civilization lives on. Maya, the fabled utopian afterlife where people abandon their corporeal forms in favor of an eternal existence with loved ones in a digital world, is not all as it seems. Decay and corruption await Karma, the world’s first newcomer in thousands of years, and derails a desperate attempt to reunite with their missing brother on the other side.
Befriend a charmingly
quirky crew like a wise orange fish in monk garb and a headstrong little boy to
unravel the mysteries of the Blackout, an enigmatic catalyst that triggered
Maya’s plunge into chaos. Test the limits of human existence, exposing an
insidious threat lurking among the remains of humanity.
March to the beat of
battle in Nocturne: Prelude’s unconventional take on traditional RPG
combat through intense rhythm battles with multiple difficulties. Tap to a high
energy, progressive symphonic rock soundtrack to keep the battle going, dodging
dangerous notes and watching for surprises tucked away in the composition.
Explore vast wastelands
of former technological wonders now reclaimed by nature, ruined cities, and
cyberpunk lairs. Nocturne: Prelude’s retro art style of pixelated
environments, stunning character portraits, and ambient tunes whisk players
away to a nostalgic universe for a modern era.
“While I began my career
in film, I felt this need to create a narrative experience that can only be
crafted in a game,” said Benjamin Pracy, founder of Pracy Studios, “I’m
inspired by the brilliance of late 90’s and early 2000’s RPGs, where creativity
exceeded the bounds of their technical limitations. In Nocturne, I want
to take us back to that era, but with a modern twist.”
Pracy Studios is a
one-man studio out of Canada with a drive for making carefully crafted
narrative experiences. His first independent project as a game developer, Nocturne,
is a passion project rooted in his love for RPG classics.
