‘SKY CANNONEER’ FREE MAJOR PVP MULTIPLAYER UPDATE OUT TODAY ON STEAM AND GOG

‘SKY CANNONEER’ FREE MAJOR PVP MULTIPLAYER UPDATE OUT TODAY ON STEAM AND GOG

May 19th, 2020 — Element Games is thrilled to announce the arrival of PvP Multiplayer for Sky Cannoneer as part of a new update out now on Steam and GOG.

Modernized for today’s audiences and dramatically expanded in scope and features, Sky Cannoneer brings Rampart’s uniquely classic arcade-style gameplay into the 21st century — includes a full single-player campaign and now local multiplayer PvP, playable over the network using Steam Remote Play Together.

Become a skilled Corsair in the Sky Lord’s Navy as you unravel the truth behind the plague that ravaged your planet Emoria. Improve your Battle Haven with upgrades, new types of forts and augmentations, then choose which technologies, superpowers, and summons you want to use against the enemy forces.

Each round starts by building up your power grid with randomized walls. You then place cannons on your power grid to increase your offensive capabilities. Use your cannons and special powers to defeat your opponent! Over the course of the game, you improve your flexibility and power to deal with ever-increasing challenges and threats. There are millions of possible combinations for your Haven’s load-out, and the upgrade system creates cool and surprising twists on the original game’s formula.

Recent Updates Include:

  • Multiplayer PvP with full access to all techs/powers/summons/forts/boosters.
  • Key rebinding and gamepad support.
  • Ironman mode.
  • New difficulty mode: Corsair.

Weapons and Powers include:

  • Cluster Bombs — take out large portions of the enemy base!
  • Tesla Spikes — create an EMP that stuns enemy cannons!
  • Volatile Mix — projectiles have a chance to explode dramatically and set the enemy’s base on fire!
  • Fort Upgrade: Reloader — this fort accelerates your cannon reloads, letting you fire more shots per round.
  • Superpower: Tornado — creates a huge fiery tornado that destroys enemy walls, and also leaves behind patches of Burning Ground that destroy enemy rebuilding.
  • Research: Explosive Booster — this special booster upgrades all nearby Cannons when surrounded by your walls and energized.
  • Haven Upgrade: Deep Scanners — faint signals point to cloaked enemy Havens, but you’ll need better scanners to uncover them.
  • Summon: Airship Flotilla — summons multiple armed airships that automatically fire on the enemy defenses. Must be unlocked from a special mission.

Sky Cannoneer is currently available on Windows PC for $14.99.

GLADIATORIAL VR SIM ‘GORN’ LEAVES THE SHACKLES OF PC FOR PLAYSTATION VR

GLADIATORIAL VR SIM ‘GORN’ LEAVES THE SHACKLES OF PC FOR PLAYSTATION VR

– Blood, Dirt, and Nipples in Glorious VR –

THE ARENA – Independent developer Free Lives (Broforce, Genital Jousting) and virtual game publisher Devolver Digital (also Broforce, Genital Jousting) are thrilled to celebrate the launch of VR sensation GORN for PlayStation VR.

GORN is a ludicrously violent VR gladiator simulator featuring a unique, fully physics-driven combat engine where combatants creatively execute their most violent colosseum fantasies in virtual reality. The acclaimed VR game entered Early Access in 2017 to high praise and huge success despite players’ propensity to smash screens and tear down light fixtures in the heat of battle. One player even dislocated their knee cap. Damage to personal property notwithstanding (and potential dislocated knees) GORN went on to become one of the top ten VR games in sales and user reviews on Steam.

Free Lives spent over two years adding everything from new weapons and opponents to a custom language within the GORN universe. That last one is a joke that frankly just got out of hand until they had a full language and a five-track hip-hop EP in said language. And now it’s on PlayStation VR.

“What we do in VR echoes in eternity,” said Devolver Digital CFO Fork Parker.

Colony Survival Sim Going Medieval Rises From the Ashes of The Black Death Later This Year

Claim land, build a multi-story fortress and defend your village (and villagers!) in this alternate medieval history colony sim

LONDON (May 19th, 2020) — Development colony Foxy Voxel and the villagers at publisher The Irregular Corporation announced they are collaborating to publish the upcoming Going Medieval today, and beta sign ups for the upcoming alternate-history sim are now live. A new trailer showcasing all-new updated gameplay footage was also released:

Fans looking to get a head start on creating their village can head over to https://bit.ly/GoingMedievalBeta and sign up for the beta starting later this year.

Going Medieval transports players to the year 1346, just as the known world began to recover from the calamity known as Black Death. Survivors emerging from society’s ashes migrated and re-settled areas reclaimed by nature. Players will guide their villagers and protect them from outlaws, barbarians, and religious fanatics in a classless, borderless, lawless post-calamity age.

Plan, create and build your settlement using a variety of materials at your disposal, protect your villagers from the elements, including hunger, enemies and even the weather, and defend your village from rival factions by building impenetrable, multistory fortresses or strategically placed archers and traps. Observe your villagers, all with unique histories and agendas, to figure out how to best serve them – happy villagers are productive villagers, after all.

Going Medieval’s single-player experience puts you in control in one of the darkest and dangerous periods of humanity’s history – navigate the dangers or perish like so many before you. With almost infinite replayability options, no playthrough is the same.

Fantasy-Adventure Card Game ‘Deck of Ashes’ is set to Release June 9th

Deck of the Ashes is coming to Windows and MacOS in early June setting off players on a dark fantasy story-driven world featuring deep tactical card combat

Saint-Petersburg, Russia – May 19th, 2020 – Action-adventure tactical card game Deck of Ashes is releasing on Windows and macOS on June 9th, 2020, after two and a half years in development. The game takes place in a cursed land filled with abominations that you must defeat in combat using unique cards that you collect and craft throughout your journey.

Deck of Ashes is an adventure game with tactical card combat. One character at a time, you lead the cast of antiheroes on a quest for redemption, exploring the eerie world and hunting-down powerful cards. The game has survival and RPG elements that compel players to command their journey, choosing where to go, which resource to collect, which risk to take, and which card to craft. There are more than 100 cards for each character to explore and combine to build unique play styles.

The game invites you to card-sling your way through the hordes of foes, embarking on an adventure in which danger waits around every corner.

“Deck of Ashes has been in development for two and a half years, and every month since the early access, we have supplemented the game with new content, new characters, monsters, events, balanced,” says Oleg Vasilyev, head of AY Games. “We are sincerely grateful to the players who have supported us, shared their impressions, advice, and recommendations, some of which we managed to implement in the Deck of Ashes. Without your support, it would be much more difficult to work on the game. Now the project is at the finish line, and our whole team hopes that the players will enjoy the full history of our world!”

Deck of Ashes opened Early Access to the game last year, in April, driving thousands of downloads on Steam. Its Early Access saw a tremendously positive reception by the community on Steam with rates above 80% positive approval.

Starting June 9th, Deck of Ashes’ Day 1 Edition will be available on Steam for the first two weeks only at $19,99. It will offer early birds the bombastic pack of exclusive content that includes expanded digital artbook, HD-wallpapers, all existing skins for main characters, and a wholehearted “Thank you” from the Dev team.

Guilty Gear: Strive Delayed Until Early 2021

Arc System Works has announced that they will now longer be releasing Guilty Gear: Strive in late 2020 and will now be releasing the game sometime in early 2021 for the PlayStation 4. These delays, according to the producer of the game Takeshi Yamanaka, come from the issues that have arisen due to the spread of COVID-19 which have caused delays across the board.

It is also worth noting that the company is responding to some apparently poorly received feedback as they are going to “further improve the quality of the game responding to everyone’s help and feedback from the recent closed beta test” and that they will be “making good use” of the extra time to improve Guilty Gear: Strive.

Paper Mario: The Origami King Revealed for July 17 Release

It has been some time now since we have heard word of another Paper Mario game but Nintendo has came out of left field with not only a new game in the series but one that will be coming out in only a few months. Paper Mario: The Origami King as it is called will be released on July 17th for the Nintendo Switch and takes Mario into a new journey where the kingdom has been ravaged by an origami menace and a new ally named Olivia will help him restore the world as they battle against Folded Soldiers and free Princess Peach from the evil King Olly.

Mario and Luigi receive an invitation from Princess Peach to attend an origami festival and excitedly hurry to Toad Town…but something’s amiss. After investigating the eerily empty town, the duo finds a fearsome (and folded) Princess Peach—she’s been turned into origami by King Olly, ruler of the Origami Kingdom. With five giant streamers under his control, King Olly binds Princess Peach’s Castle and transports it to a distant mountain as part of his plan to re-fold the world.

Even Bowser falls victim to Olly’s plot when his minions are turned into origami Folded Soldiers and betray their Koopa king, forcing him to ally with Mario and Olivia. Check out the reveal trailer and a number of screenshots below.
