The last few months have witnessed a remarkable growth of the global mobile games industry, with millions of people spending more time indoors and online amid coronavirus lockdown. Mobile games markets across the world are set to witness record revenues this year, as the number of downloads continues to rise.
As the leading mobile games industry in the world, China is expected to generate 40% of the global mobile games revenue this year, reaching more than $21bn in value, according to data gathered by GoldenCasinoNews.
Chinese Mobile Games Industry Increased 50% Since 2017
Recent years have witnessed a surge in the Chinese mobile games revenue. In 2017, the market hit $14.9bn value, revealed Statista data. The same survey revealed that one-third of Chinese gamers play online games daily. Another 33% of those asked play online games between three to six days per week. Another 18% of Chinese gamers played online games once or twice a week.

Statista data revealed the number of users in the Chinese mobile games segment is set to jump over 517 million in 2020, growing 14.8% year-on-year.

Nine new models, featuring Meridian high-resolution sound and an immersive experience with Dolby Atmos® on top tier models and DTS:X
Sound optimisation through the power of AI Sound Pro
Seamless connectivity and smart functionality with Google Assistant™
Award winning* audio innovation and sleek designs to match the 2020 TV range
SYDNEY, 26 May 2020 – LG Electronics Australia (LG) today unveiled the company’s 2020 sound bar range consisting of nine models that deliver premium quality audio, seamless connectivity and smart functionality. At the top end of the line-up are the SN11RG, SN10YG and SN9YG models. The new range complements the company’s line-up of premium TVs, including the 2020 LG OLED, NanoCell and UHD TVs, through sleek designs matched with powerful output.
Strategic partnerships that help deliver larger than life sound
LG partners with the experts and when it comes to audio, LG has continued its long-standing relationship with Meridian, the UK-based pioneers of high-fidelity audio. The company’s premium, Meridian Audio technology is integrated in more models this year. The line-up also supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, technology that has been making an impact on Hollywood content for decades, for dynamic and immersive experiences.
Bringing high-fidelity audio into Australian homes, Meridian’s audio enhancements deliver high-performance, high-fidelity audio, Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and psychoacoustics. LG 2020 models SN11RG, SN10YG, SN9YG, SN8YG, SN7Y, SN7CY are equipped with this high-level performance technology.
Meridian contribution is the Bass and Space technology, which boosts low-frequency reproduction and widens the soundstage, allowing the listener to hear warm and immersive sound, no matter where they are seated. On top of this, Image Elevation technology ensures a more lifelike listening experience by elevating the perceived height of lead instruments and vocals, which will make users feel like they are part of a crowd at a concert.
In addition, Dolby Atmos® produces rich, atmospheric sound and creates textured layers of details and depth. When playing content mastered with Dolby Atmos or DTS:X, users will enjoy realistic surround sound-like with audio that appears to originate from multiple directions. For example, users will feel like a rainstorm is above and around them.
Tailoring sound for any room with AI Room Calibration
The premium models (SL11RG, SN10YG, SN9YG, SN8YG) in the 2020 LG Sound Bar range are enhanced with AI Room Calibration for the first time. After Wi-Fi setup using Google Home, the LG Wi-Fi Speaker app enables customers to use their smartphone microphone to listen to specialised test tones produced by the Sound Bar. LG Sound Bars will adjust the equaliser according to the room acoustics (such as reducing undesirable standing waves generated by room corners). This advanced feature enables the sound bar equaliser to self-calibrate and allows users to experience optimum sound from the TV by using the Google Home and LG Wi-Fi Speaker apps to calculate the ideal sound based on the characteristics of the room.1
Tony Brown, Marketing Manager for Home Entertainment at LG Electronics Australia commented on the 2020 range of Sound Bars:
“At LG Australia, we are passionate about providing Australians with the very best home entertainment experience possible. Our successful partnership with Meridian Audio has allowed us to bring high-fidelity sound into even more Australian homes this year.
“It has never been a better time to pair great visuals with superior audio. Our 2020 Sound Bars are the ultimate home entertainment package when paired with one of our premium TVs. We’re excited to give Australians access to advanced audio technologies and create memorable moments with family and friends at home – whether it be watching movies, sport or gaming.”
LG SN11RG Sound Bar – the perfect companion for a 2020 LG OLED TV with an outstanding audio experience that must be heard to be believed
Transforming the home entertainment experience, the LG SN11RG Sound Bar, which sits at the top of the 2020 range, delivers 770W of power and supports a 7.1.4-channel system including Meridian Audio and Dolby Atmos®. This powerhouse sound bar comes complete with two rear wireless up firing speakers that produce multi-dimensional sound for a heightened soundstage. Delivering a cinematic sound experience from the comfort of the home, the LG SN11RG Sound Bar enables unique sound objects to be placed anywhere in a three-dimensional space for a multi-dimensional sound experience. Enhancing the realism of what is on screen, this innovative feature puts the viewer at the centre of the action.
In addition, this model boasts 4K Pass-Through allowing a smooth transfer of 4K content from the screen through to the sound bar. Furthermore, with Google Assistant built-in, users can enjoy voice-controlled access to control compatible smart home devices, get answers, play content and make everyday tasks easier.
LG has taken connectivity a step further in 2020, with the addition of enhanced audio return channel (eARC) on selected models, allowing users to connect external devices directly into eARC compatible TVs. The result? Enjoy multi-dimensional sound of high-resolution audio formats, such as Dolby True HD and DTS Master Audio.2
SN10YG and SN9YG – high-fidelity sound that is accessible
Sitting second and third at the top-end of the LG 2020 Sound Bar range, the LG SN10YG and SN9YG deliver life-like and multi-dimensional sound thanks to Meridian Audio, while Dolby Atmos® produces rich, atmospheric sound quality to deliver textured layers of detail and depth for an immersive experience.
The SN10YG and SN9YG Sound Bars feature 570W and 520W of powerful output respectively and with 5.1.2 channel support, the result is a life-like surround sound experience that makes what consumers love about their TV sound better. To beef up sound even further, users can add rear speakers for an extra two channels and 140W.3 Furthermore, both models feature AI Calibration, 4K Pass-Through, enhanced audio return (eARC) and the convenience of Google Assistant through the comfort and ease of conversational voice commands.4
Winning two CES Innovation Awards in 2020 for enhanced sound quality and usability (models the SN11RG and SN9YG) and a Red Dot Design Award 2020 (model SN11RG)5 , the 2020 LG Sound Bar range exudes a sophisticated and minimalist design that perfectly matches the 2020 LG 55- and 65-inch TVs. LG has again delivered a range of stylish Sound Bars in 2020 that creates seamless visual harmonies and fits with modern home décor.

With so many video game events cancelled this year the industry has banded together to create some new events and one of these happens to be taking place in a little under a month as New Game+ Expo will be occurring on June 23rd where it will be aired through Twitch starting at 8 AM PT. This presentation will feature dozens of games including new titles, live gameplay demos, first looks, Q&A sessions, and more though it will be uploaded later if potential fans cannot catch the stream.
As seen in the image above, New Game+ Expo will feature games and developed and published by the likes of Sega, Atlus, Natsume, Idea Factory International, Spike Chunsoft, Koei Tecmo, Gunho America, Acttil, Arc System Works, Playism, Inti Creates, Aksys Games, NIS America, Grasshopper Manufacture, SNK, and Wayforward.
Half a year since its Steam Early Access launch, the sci-fi survival horror game Chernobylite is now 50% richer in content and getting ready to launch its full PC version within the next months, with an updated project roadmap.
Fans of exploring the Zone can finally enjoy a long-awaited part of the game – Pripyat’s most iconic sites. Come and visit the famous amusement park and its huge Ferris wheel. Next, check out Lenin Square and several nearby buildings. Remember, however, that places like the Palace of Culture Energetik or the Polissya Hotel are not the same as they used to be. Expecting abandoned buildings, you’ll find a mysterious, scientific military facility instead – one that can be infiltrated. The only question is: are you brave enough to walk into the darkness and reveal its dangerous secrets?
On top of the newly added Pripyat area, gamers will also find the following content updates:
The second part of the Tatyana investigation
A new fractal world that exposes some past events and gives answers to a few questions. A conclusion to a new investigation on the board. A very mysterious and important mission for both Igor and the player.
New character – Olga
A tough Ukrainian teenage girl. She’s one of the inhabitants of “The Village” – a settlement deep in the dreary Red Forest. She fears no one and hates NAR with a passion after witnessing their cruelty. Her goal is simple but difficult to achieve – she wants all of NAR out of Chernobyl, or dead (and not exactly in that order). Olga can be recruited to the base and sent on missions. The player can also learn new skills from her.
New story missions
The developers from The Farm 51 have added four new quests related to Georgiy, Sashko, and Olga. The player will meet some new characters but say goodbye to others. Or vice versa. It is all the player’s choice. The Red Forest has also been filled with several new events. Who (or what) will be found when exploring this part of the Zone?
Technical improvements
Chernobylite now supports DirectX 12. Players owning compatible graphics cards (especially AMD) can test it and check its influence on the visual performance of the game.
Cooperation with AMD
Thanks to cooperation with AMD, FidelityFX features have also been added to the game. Activating CAS should allow gamers to play at a lower resolution, or lower “resolution scale,” while maintaining very high image quality. Players can also improve the quality of the game, with virtually no effect on performance. FidelityFX works on all graphics cards, regardless of manufacturer.
Localization improvements
Finally, A TON of things related to localization and UX have been improved, from the UI to dialogs. Not everything is working perfectly yet, but progress is clearly visible. A system that replaces all missing voice-overs with appropriately processed and customized voice synthesis has been added, and dialogs are now consistently indicated. This should also be an optimal solution for players who do not speak Russian but are using Russian voice-overs for greater immersion. This system can be turned on or off in the Options menu.
ABOUT CHERNOBYLITE:
Chernobylite is a science-fiction survival horror experience from the team behind the critically-acclaimed Get Even. The game mixes free exploration of its disturbing world with challenging combat, crafting, and non-linear storytelling. It utilizes Unreal Engine 4 and is based on Reality 51’s scanning technology, which has been in development by The Farm 51 for over five years.
CHERNOBYLITE – MAIN FEATURES:
Explore a beautiful and horrifyingly accurate 3D-scanned recreation of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone.
Collaborate or compete with other stalkers in the Zone. But whatever you do, never fully trust them. Remember, everybody has a hidden agenda.
Face and survive natural and supernatural threats.
Immerse yourself in a thrilling, non-linear science-fiction horror story.
Make good use of your chemistry and physics knowledge to craft equipment and manage supplies.
Fight against savage creatures pouring out of an alternate reality.

Hinwil, 25 May 2020 – The unforgiving streets of Monaco were the backdrop to another exciting weekend of online racing, with Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN producing a good display and coming away with some strong results. Daniel Bereznay was just one step off the podium with a brilliant P4 in the Pro Exhibition Race, followed by Bardia Boroumand in P8, while Thibaut Courtois and Juan Manuel Correa finished in P4 and P5 respectively in Saturday’s “Not the GP” Series. Unfortunately, there was heartbreak for Antonio Giovinazzi as his race come to an end immediately after the start of the Virtual Grand Prix due to another technical issue with his game.
One of the strongest pairings in the Esports landscape, Bereznay and Boroumand navigated the narrow, twisty streets of the Principality in the Pro Exhibition race. The Hungarian controlled his race and, on a track where overtaking is nigh-impossible, he converted his fourth place on the grid into the same result at the chequered flag. Boroumand, hit by a penalty in qualifying that relegated him to P7, was unable to gain ground and finished in P8, no doubt a frustrating conclusion for the quick Iranian.
On Saturday, the Courtois/Correa pairing fared well in the “Not the GP” Monaco event. Finishing in P8 and P12 respectively in the first race, the Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN drivers came back strongly in the second race, the Belgian goalkeeper crossing the line in P4, just ahead of his team-mate in P5.
In the weekend’s flagship event, the Virtual Grand Prix, Antonio Giovinazzi was once again hampered by a technical issue, his race ending as soon as it started. A game freeze meant an early exit for the Italian, whose P7 starting position would have promised much for the remainder of the evening. The sister car, in the hands of Courtois, was a creditable P13 at the end of the race.
Antonio Giovinazzi (DNF, Virtual GP): “It’s been another frustrating evening of esports for me. Qualifying in P7 in Monaco was going to give me a good shot at a great result, but we never had the chance to show what we could do. My game froze just 500m into the first lap and that was it. It’s so disappointing, especially after all the time spent practicing for what should have been a great event.”
Juan Manuel Correa (P12/P5, Not the GP): “This weekend’s races were a lot of fun. Driving in Monaco is always a lot of fun, it’s a track I really enjoy in real life as well. It’s great to have a team-mate like Thibaut, we have been good friends since we did our first Virtual GP back in China and we spent the whole race talking, discussing strategy and working together. I am glad about the end result, we were both competitive.”
Daniel Bereznay (P4, Pro Exhibition race): “Monaco is not a track I enjoy driving in the game. The real thing must be an incredible show, but in the game it hardly ever makes for great racing, and that is exactly what happened this time. I started in P4 and finished in P4 without anything crazy happening. I would have been happy with a podium, of course, but with such a competitive field I prefer scoring good results consistently. Finishing on the podium or close by every time is better than being the guy going from zero to hero and back to zero again each week.”
Bardia Boroumand (P8, Pro Exhibition race): “I am pretty happy with my pace and I feel I was on my way to a strong result until the final lap in qualifying. Not only I got blocked by traffic while on a lap that would have been good for pole, I somehow got a penalty that cost me five places on the grid. Starting from the back at Monaco is really bad, and there was a lot of contact all over the race. In the end, I am not happy with P8 but there wasn’t really anything I could do.”
