YOU GOTTA HAVE SOUL TO TAKE ON MUTANT BEHEMOTHS

Latest Rangers of Oblivion updates promise a wild ride as mutating monsters are discovered in Malheim; do not approach unless you are armed and dangerous

YOOZOO Games, Shanghai — 19.06.2020 | Hit mobile RPG, Rangers of Oblivion, is to receive an extensive update this summer which includes — amongst other things — a new, mutated Behemoth, five unique wild souls and other innovations that bring new gameplay dimensions for those sworn to protect these lands.

Wildsouls are mystical fragments that contain the powers of the ancient Gods. Each Ranger establishes a connection with a Wildsoul through a ritual, enabling them to fight against the giants while harnessing these powers. Wildsouls offers Rangers different strengths and each have their own qualities, supporting different playing styles. There are five new souls who, together with the hunters, are reuniting the shattered land:

• Mercury – Oracle of Light (Light Wildsoul)
• Lear – The Two-Faced God (Shadow Wildsoul)
• Panoptica – The Observer (Mystic Wildsoul)
• Diana – Goddess of the Hunt (Titan Wildsoul)
• Cupid – Goddess of Love (Natural Wildsoul)

The Rangers at the forefront of the conflict have discovered a new, mutated Behemoth. On the surface, they look deceptively like the normal descendants. However, when angered, these giants develop far greater power, speed, and aggressiveness than the common species. When under attack, they protect their limbs with special crystals powered by a primeval energy; standard Ranger weapons cannot harm them.

Soulblades were invented with the express aim of breaking these crystalline mutations and defeating these super-charged behemoths. From now on, hunters can carry two different types of weapons — normal weapons and Soulblades — on them during the hunt, switching as and when they need to. Soulblades can be unlocked from level 80 upwards,  through a side quest.

Since the previous Rangers of Oblivion update, there is now an option to customise the outfits of each Ranger with talismans. In addition, a package for newcomers to Malheim also offers items which improve their early hunting experiences. There are different packages that contain rare items, wild souls, costumes, companion costumes and much more.

Cyberpunk 2077 Delayed Once More to November 19

CD Projekt RED has announced that Cyberpunk 2077 has once again been delayed from its already previously announced release date. Originally set for September 17th the company is now aiming to have the title release roughly two months later on November 19th for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC with a Stadia version coming sometime down the line. 1. PlayStation Australia has partnered with Sony Music’s one-person powerhouse Tash Sultana in her first-ever brand partnership to mark the launch of PlayStation®4 exclusive, The Last of Us™ Part II
  2. The Last of Us Part II is the highly anticipated follow up to the critically acclaimed The Last of Us™ – winner of over 200 Game of the Year awards

SYDNEY, Jun 19, 2020 – To mark the highly anticipated launch of Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us™ Part II, PlayStation Australia has partnered with Sony Music Australia to re-record ‘Through The Valley’ – the iconic track from the game’s Reveal Trailer that went viral in 2016 – with acclaimed Australian artist, Tash Sultana.

While respecting the original track arrangement and the intensity felt in the Reveal Trailer, Tash Sultana combines her hauntingly beautiful vocals and guitar talent to create a remarkable rendition of ‘Through The Valley’ that is truly hers. The result is a stunning collision of two cultures that will excite both the huge followings of The Last of Us™ and music fans everywhere.

Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II is the cinematic, action-adventure sequel title to the critically acclaimed The Last of Us. Players will discover an emotional story challenging their notions of right and wrong. The title is a gripping adventure in a beautiful yet dangerous world, where you play as Ellie in an action-survival gameplay using tense melee combat, fluid movement and dynamic stealth.

Patrick Lagana, Director of Marketing at Sony Interactive Entertainment Australia said, “’Through The Valley’ became a #1 hit in several markets when featured in the 2016 reveal trailer for The Last of Us Part II*, so recreating this with a phenomenal Aussie talent like Tash Sultana truly creates a special Australian moment to mark the launch of one of our biggest titles for PS4.”

Tash Sultana said, “This is the first time I’ve done a collab like this. Usually it’s kinda just like writing sessions with other musos but this is for a game and it’s different as it’s not my usual style to venture into so I’m completely honoured to be asked to do something like this. I can’t wait to see it in the game world.”

Watch the Tash Sultana x The Last Of Us Part II ‘Through The Valley’ video here.

Exclusive to PlayStation 4, The Last of Us Part II is available now on PlayStation Store and via select Australian retailers with a recommended retail price of $99.95 AUD.

The original track by US blues and folk artist Shawn James, is sung by lead character Ellie in The Last of Us Part II reveal trailer and tells a dark tale of struggle and someone who, by the grace of their own killer instinct, does not fear. The song is reminiscent of Ellie’s experience in a cruel post-pandemic world.
