Far Cry 6 Officially Revealed for February 18, 2021 Release

After an unfortunate leak Ubisoft officially revealed that Far Cry 6 is indeed on the way and will be releasing on February 18, 2021 for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PC, and even the Stadia. Ubisoft confirmed that those who purchase Far Cry 6 on either the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will be able to upgrade to the next-gen version at no additional cost.

Players take on the role of Dani Rojas, a male or female character that will help stoke the fires of revolution through guerrilla warfare across the island of Yara, from verdant jungles to the urban streets of the capital city, Esperanza. The tropical paradise Yara is being held under the iron rule of the dictator Anton Castillo who is intent on restoring his nation back to its former glory by any means, with his son, Diego, following in his bloody footsteps.

Multiple versions of Far Cry 6 will be available at release, such as a standard edition, a “Gold Edition” that includes the base game and Season Pass, a “Ultimate Edition” that features the aforementioned content plus the Jungle Expedition Pack, Croc Hunter Pack, and Vice pack, and finally a yet to be priced but surely expensive “Collector’s Edition” that comes with everything mentioned plus a high-end replica of the game’s flamethrower weapon, a unique collector’s case, steelbook, 64 page artbook, set of stickers, Chorizo keyring, a map, and a soundtrack CD.

Devolver Digital’s ‘Devolver Direct’ Doubles Down With ‘Devolverland Expo’

Experience premium marketing material on a consumer-level once thought impossible

This year’s Devolver Direct showcase continued the label’s annual tradition of overpromises with new game debuts, gameplay reveals, release date announcements, and an inexplicably complex narrative woven into its marketing centerpiece. The industry-shaking revelations included the premiere of Shadow Warrior 3 gameplay, the reveal of 2D action platformer Olija, and imminent release dates for the long-awaited Carrion, Fall Guys, and Serious Sam 4.

The overrated independent publisher also launched Devolverland Expo, the most advanced marketing simulator ever designed by humankind. Conceived, created, and filled with contempt by Devolver Digital CEO Nina Struthers during this year’s fourth-wall shattering Devolver Direct, Devolverland Expo takes all of the in-your-face stink and discomfort, pomp and circumstance of a crowded high-rent convention hall and stuffs it – for free – into the general public’s sweaty, grateful paws. You’re welcome.

Fairy Tail Characters and Features Highlighted in New Trailer

Now that the release date for the Fairy Tail game is growing ever closer, Koei Tecmo and Gust have chosen to release another new trailer for the game focusing on introducing us to some of the characters and features that will be in the game.

Although most fans of the franchise are likely quite familiar with most of the characters already, the title will feature original “Character Stories” that will take place around the world and provide some brand new scenes for longtime fans. The video can be found below while the game itself is currently set to be released on the PC, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4 on July 30th in Europe and Japan and in North America on July 31st.

So I’m A Spider So What? Creators Interview Video Released

With pretty much every convention being cancelled this year due to COVID-19, there hasn’t been a lot of opportunities for fans, especially Western fans, to interact with Japanese creators so Yen Press held a virtual panel where they interviewed the creators of So I’m A Spider So What?, the author Okina Baba and illustrator Tsukasa Kiyu.

The nearly half hour long interview features questions from fans and translated answers handled by Yen Press. The interview can be found below and as for the series itself, the light novels of So I’m A Spider So What? have been published in English through volume 8 with the 9th volume releasing on August 18th. For those who want to have a bit more of a visual presentation, currently the anime adaptation for the series is set to premiere in January 2021.

Far Cry 6 Leaked by PlayStation Store

All it takes is one slip-up from one branch and a major reveal can be leaked early and it looks like the latest one happens to have struck Ubisoft thanks to the PlayStation Store in Hong Kong. While the listing may be pulled down already, it has been revealed that Far Cry 6 is indeed on the way and will likely be part of Ubisoft’s “Forward Digital” showcase that was meant to occur on July 12th. The fact that Ubisoft later mentioned how a certain character referenced in the game leak would be displeased has basically confirmed this information.

Far Cry 6 is so far confirmed for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 and will be set in the tropical paradise called Yara where the dictator Anton Castillo is intent on restoring his nation back to its former glory by any means necessary while his son Diego follows in his footsteps. Players will step into the role of Dani Rojas, a local who has risen up among others to become a revolutionary to try and liberate the nation while fighting against Anton’s troops in the largest Far Cry map to date. Players will have access to makeshift weaponry, vehicles, and even “Amigos” who are the returning Fangs for Hire system from previous entries in the series.

Despite the amount of information and basic confirmation, it is worth noting that for now this leak should only be treated as such until the likely reveal on July 12th.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope Releasing on October 30

Supermassive Games has announced that the game will now be releasing on October 30th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC with the game still featuring the same pre-order bonus “Curator’s Cut” early access that will eventually be released for all players.

Check out a new trailer below.

Giraffe and Annika Introduces Characters in New Trailer

A new trailer has been released for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch version of Giraffe and Annika and this time around Atelier Mimina and NIS America are focusing on showing off how gameplay will work in the title as well as introducing some of the characters that players will encounter. This cute looking game will feature rhythm based combat and plenty of exploration as the young girl named Annika awakens from a strange dream, finding herself stranded on “Spica Island” with no memory of how she ended up there.

She quickly meets with a boy named Giraffe, who seems to know her, and is tasked with finding three special star fragments on the island in order to unravel the mysteries of her forgotten memories. While searching for the fragments, Annika meets Lily, the Witch of the Mysterious Forest, who challenges her to a battle! Fortunately, Annika emerges victorious, and uncovers a star fragment. She absorbs the fragment and is suddenly granted remarkable visions. What secrets await this unlikely trio of adventurers on the island of Spica?

Currently Giraffe and Annika is set to be released on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 on August 25th in North America and August 28th in Europe though the PC version of the game has already been released.
