NEW SSR HUNTERS SIAN HALAT AND SON KIHOON JOIN SOLO LEVELING: ARISE

LOS ANGELES JANUARY 15th, 2026 – Netmarble, a leading developer and publisher of high-quality games, has launched a major update for its action game Solo Leveling: ARISE. The update introduces two new SSR Hunters alongside new story content, a competitive PvP mode, and more.

While the spirit of the Red Knight Igris serves as the loyal sword of the Monarch of Shadows, his past self has been reimagined as the living knight Sian Halat. He is a powerful Dark-type Elemental Stacker that unleashes overwhelming destructive power at the center of the new combat meta. When Sian Halat uses his ultimate skill “Knight’s Pride,” he channels his inner strength into his broadsword and performs a powerful forward-facing strike that leads his army to victory.

Joining him is Son Kihoon, a Dark-type Breaker who will maximize the efficiency of Dark Element parties alongside Sian. Kihoon is known for using a sword and shield and has abilities such as “Fierce Charge” where he scrapes the ground with his sword and performs a powerful upward slash. His ultimate skill, “Thrilling Fighting Spirit,” shares his vigor with nearby allies.

This update also introduces a new PvP event called “International Clash,” where players form attack and defense teams using up to five Hunters and nine Tactic Cards. Participants will challenge other players’ teams in battles and earn points to receive special titles and other rewards based on their performance.

New story content has also been added, including Hidden Chapters 1 and 2, as well as the Expert difficulty versions of Chapters 19 and 20. Lastly, various snowflake-themed events are underway that offer players a chance to earn generous rewards.

Solo Leveling:ARISE is an action game adaptation of the hit webtoon, Solo Leveling. Taking on the role of Jinwoo, players can experience his journey through the beloved webtoon tale firsthand, leveling up, taking on dynamic battles, and creating their own combat styles by selecting various combinations of skills and weapons. Monsters and Me gets messy on PC February 10

January 15, 2026 – A catastrophic slime-ocalypse has ruined the city, the locals are looking… not great, and you’re one of the last humans left standing. Rough luck.

Monsters and Me, the relentlessly chaotic top-down arcade shooter from GhettoCo and publisher indie.io, launches on PC via Steam and GOG on February 10.

Built around fast, round-based action, Monsters and Me throws players into nonstop waves of slime mutant rage freaks armed with guns, perks, supers, and a growing sense that things are about to get out of hand. It’s quick, messy, funny, and more than a little gross — exactly how a slime apocalypse should be.

Players can go solo or grab a friend for local co-op and jump straight into the madness:
-Turn on the power (because nothing works without it).
-Buy weapons and supers — big ones, loud ones, stupidly fun ones.
-Fight off wave after wave of bloodthirsty freaks.
-Die horribly. Laugh about it.
-Do it again. But better.

The game features 18 upgradable weapons, including shotguns, rifles, flamethrowers, and more – each with three upgrade levels (yes, that’s math). On top of that are 12 special abilities, five perks, and four playable characters – Brian, Bob, Nina, and Tony –  each bringing their own vibe, catchphrases, and questionable survival strategies.

With randomized waves, power-ups, and weapons, every run turns into a glorious mess. Add in fluid controls, crunchy pixel art carnage, and comedic cutscenes packed with meme-ready moments, and Monsters and Me becomes the kind of game that’s just as fun to watch as it is to play.

One day a waste plant explodes. The next day the city is covered in sludge mutants. You’re armed with sheer willpower, an angry shotgun, and very little time to think about your choices. Uncover the slime-filled truth behind the outbreak, evolve your loadout, and become the baddest post-apocalyptic slime-slayer this side of an arcade cabinet.

Monsters and Me launches February 10 on PC via Steam and GOG. Wishlist it now on Steam –  and don’t forget to reload, dude.

A Strategic Roguelike Where Typing Is the Weapon

[California – January 15] –   Prepare to enter Tomb of the Bloodletter, a strategic typing roguelike where combat is less about min-maxing builds and more about pulling off the perfect word at exactly the right moment. The game launches on PC via Steam on February 5, 2026, developed by solo developer Ethan’s Secretions, with a demo available now.

Tomb of the Bloodletter is a roguelike built entirely around typing, turning the keyboard into an arsenal and every word into a potential weapon. When players enter a floor, Magicks are assigned directly to individual letters, each obeying strange and specific rules. A letter may strike harder when placed at the end of a word, another might restore health, while other Magicks punish certain patterns or combinations, requiring careful consideration of not just what word to spell, but how it is constructed.

The game is structured like a traditional roguelike, with tightly paced, randomized runs lasting around 30 minutes that end in either victory or defeat. Rather than focusing on long-term build optimization, the experience emphasizes the moment-to-moment puzzle each turn presents. Players always have access to their full keyboard, with Magicks shaping how letters behave rather than limiting which words can be played. Success isn’t about having the largest vocabulary, but about tactical combinations, sequencing magick-infused letters at the right time to turn volatile interactions into powerful tools.

Each run sends players into a shifting, cursed tomb as one of four ill-fated grave robbers, each bringing unique quirks and abilities that twist the rules of combat. No matter who enters the tomb, survival is never clean, easy, or guaranteed. Every descent reshapes the dungeon, forcing adaptation as new threats and challenges emerge. The tomb crawls with cursed beasts, deceitful specters, and entities best left unspoken, each handcrafted with unique mechanics that demand clever thinking and precise wordplay to overcome. As runs progress, new Magicks are acquired whether players want them or not, slowly transforming the keyboard into an unstable spellbook that serves as both weapon and liability.

Players can get an early taste of the tomb ahead of launch with a playable demo available now on Steam, featuring the first two grave robbers.

Vultures – Scavengers of Death  releases its demo this February 12

90s classics inspired survival horror meets turn-based tactics gameplay

January 15, 2026 – Independent developer Team Vultures and publisher Firesquid Games are proud to announce that their tactical turn-based survival horror Vultures – Scavengers of Death, will release a demo on Steam this February 12. As an operative of the VULTURES mercenary unit, you will scavenge the infested metropolis for materials and information that could cure the infection plaguing the world.

The game puts you in the shoes of two agents, each with their own combat styles and customize their load out before entering a mission. Once inside, choose your tactics carefully. You may not want to engage in every battle, sneaking can be a viable option but when you do engage, you must rely on your tactical training in turn-based combat. Aim for vital spots or disable opponents to slow them down. Use any method to get out alive with the target.

Content of the Demo

The demo will give access to the very first mission of the game which takes place in a Police Station. The playable character is Leopoldo, 3 different weapons will be available in this mission (combat knife, pistol, shotgun). The average Playtime when you are new to the game is roughly ~45 minutes to play the whole mission.

Leopoldo is on a mission to investigate the last location where Thiago Schultz, a scientist who worked for Eugenesys Corporation, sought refuge one day before the incident (outbreak). He must investigate the station for any records or evidence Thiago may have left behind. This could be the first lead toward understanding what really happened…

Scavenge a Ruined City

The city is full of information left behind after the infection. Piece together a path to the cure by extracting relics, notes and items from various locations, each with their own obstacles. Survive along the way by scavenging for any tools that can aid you, keys to unlock your way and new weapons to expand your skills.

Classic Survival Horror

Inspired by some of the most foundational Survival Horror franchises like Resident Evil; Vultures embraces a retro PS1 aesthetic and mechanics that lead to a tense, horror filled exploration. Isolated as a single agent in the dark halls of the city, every choice could lead to a successful mission or death.

Salento Valley – Ground Zero

A once bustling metropolis, Salento Valley now lies as a desolate battleground in the wake of a bio-hazard disaster. As a VULTURES operative, you will face increasingly challenging odds as you make your way through the city’s ruins. Horrifying mutants and abominations lay in wait for fresh blood like you.

Gory Gridiron Top-Down Action Game Tackle for Lossabout to Touch Down on PC

You have a very specific set of skills… Very specific.

Berlin, Germany – January 15, 2026 | Indie developer Indifferent Penguin is excited to announce that its upcoming high-octane, American football-infused action game Tackle for Loss is launching on PC on 5 February 2026 — just a few days prior to the, somewhat less violent, Super Bowl.

Drawing inspiration from the likes of Hotline Miami and Taken, Tackle for Loss sees players take on the role of a former American football pro battling through a criminal underworld in order to rescue his kidnapped daughter. Bruised, broken, and haunted by concussions, players will have to use raw instinct and explosive strength to make it through the journey unscathed.

Tackle for Loss has a fast and brutal combat system inspired by American football’s four-down rule: limited moves, no room for error, keep moving forward at all costs. With only four offensive actions available on each floor of these multi-story building stages, players will need to study the layout of the rooms ahead of them, plan their route, and then commit to the drive.

Every character in the game, including the main protagonist, will die in one hit, making every floor a high-stakes puzzle of speed and accuracy. Rapid restarts allow players to immediately get back into the action, honing their strategy for the ultimate run.

“I created Tackle for Loss because I love fast, aggressive action games that feel incredible in the hands,” said developer Daniel Wichterich. “I wanted to create a game that captured the raw energy and violence of American football, but from a completely different angle.”

Tackle for Loss launches on PC on 5 February 2026, and can be wishlisted on Steam.

About Indifferent Penguin Indifferent Penguin is a German independent game studio based in Berlin and founded by solo game developer Daniel Wichterich. Its debut title, Tackle for Loss, is supported by funding from the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, a German film and media funding agency, and will launch in February 2026.
