NYRA AND THE GARDEN OF MOROS REVEALED WITH NEW GAMEPLAY TRAILER

Explore a fallen world, scale gigantic Keepers, and choose between destruction and salvation in this atmospheric open-world action-adventure coming to Steam

Illinois, United States – October 16, 2026. The old world is dying. Its forgotten guardians are corrupted. And somewhere beneath the ruins, an ancient god is beginning to wake.

Solo indie developer Resting Relic has today revealed Nyra and the Garden of Moros, a moody open-world action-adventure coming to PC via Steam, with a brand-new gameplay trailer making its debut at The MIX Fall Showcase.

Nyra and the Garden of Moros is a moody open-world action-adventure in which Nyra’s search for a cure to a spreading curse leads her to the ruins of the Old Empire. There, she discovers the Prison of Moros, an ancient god of doom, has been opened, its key shattered. To restore the prison and contain Moros once more, Nyra must seek out and climb the gigantic Keepers who guard the twelve seals. But players must decide their fate: destroy the corrupted Keepers, or take the harder path and attempt to cleanse and save them. Alongside her loyal wolf companion Rama, Nyra must choose how far she is willing to go to stop Moros and save a dying world.

WATCH THE GAMEPLAY REVEAL

The new gameplay trailer, debuting at The MIX Fall Showcase, offers the first extended look at Nyra and the Garden of Moros, including Nyra’s journey through the forgotten world, her bond with Rama, and the enormous scale of the Keepers she must confront.

CLIMB THE GIANTS

Long ago, the god of doom known as Moros was imprisoned by the power of twelve magical seals. Each seal was entrusted to a gigantic Keeper, created to protect it for all time.

But the prison has been broken.

Now a dark corruption is spreading across the land, reaching the Keepers and turning them against Nyra. To stop Moros from returning, Nyra must cross the remains of a forgotten empire, discover the hidden domains of the Keepers and climb their enormous forms to recover the seals.

These are not simply enemies to be defeated. Each Keeper is part of the world and its forgotten history, and what happens to them is ultimately Nyra’s choice.

TWO PATHS. ONE WORLD.

There is an easier way to reclaim the seals. Destroy the corrupted Keepers, take what Nyra needs and continue the journey.

But there is another path.

The corruption can be cleansed, allowing Nyra to save the Keepers of the Seals instead of destroying them. It is the harder choice, requiring sacrifice and asking players to consider what they are willing to give up to save something else.

Whichever path Nyra chooses, the consequences will echo through the world.

A JOURNEY THROUGH AN OLD EMPIRE, LOST IN TIME

The land of Nyra and the Garden of Moros is a world shaped by the remains of the Old Empire. Forests, desolate plains, crumbling halls, and enormous remnants of a forgotten civilization create a landscape filled with secrets and lost power.

Nyra travels through this world alongside Rama, her loyal wolf companion, as she searches for a cure to the curse that has drawn her into the wider mystery of Moros.

Together they will seek out hidden paths, uncover the domains of the Keepers and discover the remnants of a world that has long since been forgotten.

At the heart of the journey are the Keepers themselves; gigantic creatures of myth, earth and ancient magic. Reaching them is only the beginning. Nyra must climb their vast forms, uncover the corruption within them and decide their fate.

A PERSONAL JOURNEY

For Resting Relic solo developer Joe Winter, the relationship between Nyra and Rama is rooted in something deeply personal.

Rama was inspired by his late husky, Strider, whose loss helped inspire the project, while Nyra was inspired by his wife and her strength and compassion.

What began as a way to honour them eventually grew into an ambitious game inspired by the sense of scale, companionship and adventure found in Joe’s favourite games, while creating a world where players can choose a different path through their encounters with its giants.

Nyra and the Garden of Moros is currently in development for PC, and fans can add the game to Steam Wishlists now.

Players can also take on the role of Zargon, plotting and scheming behind the scenes to strike down the opposing fellowship.

Skillprint Partners with ASU’s Endless Games and Learning Lab to Recognize Skills Built Through Play

Collaboration will combine Skillprint’s human-performance technology with ASU’s Endless Games and Learning Lab’s credentialing infrastructure to measure skills developed through games and translate them into meaningful microcredentials.

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – October 15, 2026 – Skillprint, a human intelligence platform that measures how people think, adapt, and grow through gameplay, today announced a strategic partnership with the Endless Games and Learning Lab at Arizona State University to explore a new model for recognizing the real-world skills people develop while playing games.

The collaboration will bring together Skillprint’s technology for measuring human performance through gameplay with the Endless Games and Learning Lab’s expertise in learning through playing and making games. The partnership builds on the Lab’s existing Play microcredential infrastructure to turn skills demonstrated during gameplay into verifiable credentials for learning and the future of work.

Chethan Ramachandran, co-founder and CEO of Skillprint, said: “Games generate an incredibly rich picture of how people solve problems, make decisions, adapt and persist, but most of that learning disappears the moment the game ends. Together with the Endless Games and Learning Lab at ASU, we have an opportunity to change that. We want to make the skills people demonstrate through play visible and useful, giving people a new way to understand what they’re good at, how they’re growing, and where those abilities could take them.”

Skillprint’s technology instruments gameplay to understand how players act and make decisions in context, generating personalized profiles of skills and performance over time. Its career-mapping technology can then connect those capabilities to broader competencies and professions.

Through the partnership, Skillprint and the Endless Games and Learning Lab will pair those capabilities with the Lab’s Play microcredential infrastructure to explore how demonstrated skills can become verifiable microcredentials. The organizations will also collaborate on research examining measurable learning through gameplay and plan to develop a series of joint case studies with game and industry partners.

Mark Ollila, Founding Director of the Endless Games and Learning Lab at Arizona State University, said: “The Endless Games and Learning Lab is built around Play, Make, and Earn: the learning that comes from playing games, the learning that comes from making them, and the pathways from both into careers. We develop the technology, programs, and credentials that make that learning count. Skillprint’s research-backed measurement of how people think and perform through gameplay strengthens our Play work, and together we can turn what people learn in games into credentials that open real opportunity.”

The collaboration reflects a broader shift in how learning and human potential can be measured. Traditional assessments typically capture what someone knows at a particular moment. Instead, games create dynamic environments where people continuously make decisions, develop strategies, respond to setbacks, collaborate, and adapt.

Skillprint’s human-performance intelligence platform is built on more than 800 game-based cognitive studies across more than 500,000 player sessions and more than 1,000 games, mapping more than 150 game mechanics to signals spanning cognition, mood, and personality to understand how people think, feel, and perform. This technology powers Skillprint’s growing portfolio: Skillprint Signal applies human-performance intelligence to evaluating how AI models enhance real human outcomes, and Skillprint Flow helps game studios transform gameplay into structured human-performance and player intelligence. Together, these applications are designed to make the rich signals generated through gameplay measurable and useful far beyond the game itself.

About Skillprint
Skillprint is a human-performance intelligence company using gameplay to understand and enhance how people think, feel, and perform. Since 2020, Skillprint has combined cognitive science, game mechanics, and AI to translate real gameplay into measurable human-performance signals. Skillprint’s mission is to help build a future where AI augments and enhances human capability.

Crossout opens a new path to the Wasteland armored car carnage

Xbox players can now take their armored machines from console to PC while keeping their progress and purchases

Gaijin Entertainment announces that the post-apocalyptic vehicular action game Crossout is now available through the Xbox app on Microsoft Windows. Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One players can now switch freely between console and Xbox on PC using the same Microsoft account while keeping their in-game progress and purchases.

Whether you prefer smashing enemy armored cars apart from the comfort of a sofa and a huge TV or watching every rocket trail, flying wheel and burning wreck in crisp detail on a powerful gaming PC, the Wasteland is now just a few clicks away.

The Xbox on PC launch opens another road into Crossout’s brutal post-apocalyptic battles, where players build their own combat machines from hundreds of parts and then take them into battle. Heavy cannons tear armor plates away piece by piece, machine guns shred exposed components, rockets send wheels and weapons flying, while fast raiders drift around lumbering armored monsters looking for a vulnerable angle. Every vehicle is built differently – and every destroyed part can completely change the course of a fight.

Crossout is also available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, as well as through Steam and the Gaijin Store on PC.

And the engines are not cooling down yet. More Crossout news is coming soon on the official website.

Finals Week Cheats Its Way to Steam on October 29

Ravenna & Warsaw – October 16, 2026 – Put the textbooks away. Finals Week, the chaotic co-op cheating simulator, will launch on Steam on October 29, 2026.

Set during the final week of exams at a delightfully dysfunctional 90s-style school, Finals Week challenges groups of friends to pass a series of increasingly difficult tests by doing absolutely anything except studying.

Copy answers from classmates. Pass textbooks around. Whisper over proximity chat. Send answers through your indestructible cellphone. Distract the professor. Crawl through secret passages. And if another student refuses to share their notes… well, diplomacy is optional.

Just don’t get caught.

The teacher patrols the classroom, listens for suspicious conversations and has a worrying talent for throwing erasers with deadly accuracy. Get busted and you may find yourself equipped with increasingly ridiculous restraints designed to make cheating significantly harder – though never impossible.

Cheat together, fail together. Finals Week is built around co-op chaos. Everyone passes, or everyone fails.

Players will need to communicate and improvise using an increasingly questionable arsenal of cheating tools, including:

  • cellphones, walkie-talkies and binoculars;
  • paper balls and throwable objects;
  • textbooks hidden around the classroom;
  • a pen that doubles as a tranquilizer blowgun;
  • classroom equipment, secret routes and environmental distractions;
  • and, naturally, each other.

Players can also draw on almost anything – desks, walls, sheets of paper and even their friends – creating plenty of opportunities for useful exam notes and significantly less useful artwork.

Between exams, squads can hang out in the school hall, play basketball, mess around with the environment, plan their next strategy and unlock new outfits, hairstyles and colors.

Finals Week launches on Steam on October 29, 2026.

A Brand New Demo, Featuring a New Weapon, Enemy, and Ability, Now Available in Steam Next Fest

At the Galaxies Autumn Showcase, Swedish indie publisher Raw Fury and developer Le Rado announced that their pinball-inspired, top-down shooter, Appulse, launches on November 26 on PC. Ahead of launch, a brand new demo of the game will be available to players beginning October 19 in Steam Next Fest.

  • Create Custom Arsenal and Fleet – As players level up using roguelite features, they will be granted a perk, allowing players to upgrade their ball, weapon, ability or board. Players will be able to choose between three random cards to create the build that suits them, as well as be able to board new ships. Each new board conquered brings a unique powerful upgrade, including a drone, turret, and repairpacks.
  • Multiple Tables – Launch onto enemy spaceships using an ejection cannon, where unique challenges and special quests await. Conquer new shuttles, expand the fleet, and gain the edge needed to win the war.
  • Precise Combat – Choose a weapon to take down hostile robots, but every shot comes with a twist, as recoil propels players in the opposite direction. Use momentum alongside flippers to control movement, master positioning, and navigate the table with precision.
  • Space Cadet Pinball Inspirations – Set in a reimagined space genre with a futuristic twist, players battle laser-armed enemies across spaceship-inspired tables, defending the mothership while uncovering the mystery behind the Elysium Event.
