0.10 Update release date announced and Free Roam hands-on debuts at Sim Racing Expo
Frankfurt, Germany – October 16th, 2026: During today’s presentation at Sim Racing Expo 2026, KUNOS Simulazioni and 505 Games announced that the highly anticipated 0.10 Update for Assetto Corsa EVO – currently in early access on Steam – will launch on December 9th, 2026.
Representing the most ambitious content update since the start of Early Access, Version 0.10 introduces the long-awaited Free Roam experience.
Players will be able to explore a section of Germany’s Eifel region, home to the iconic Nürburgring Nordschleife and one of the world’s most renowned destinations for driving enthusiasts.
Featuring an extensive open-world environment with roads, country routes, and off-road paths to explore, the free roam map will continue to grow through future updates.
To celebrate the announcement, visitors attending Sim Racing Expo (October 16-18) in Frankfurt will be among the first members of the public to experience Free Roam hands-on through dedicated playable stations located at the Assetto Corsa booth (Hall12, G18-20).
A New Way to Experience Assetto Corsa EVO
Free Roam marks a major evolution for Assetto Corsa EVO, expanding beyond circuit-based motorsport simulation to offer players the freedom to drive, explore and discover at their own pace.
Built around a 1:1 scale recreation of selected districts of the Eifel region, the first playable area will include the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife, nearby villages, local roads and numerous regional landmarks, all recreated with exceptional fidelity using real-world scale data.
Players can experience dynamic weather conditions, day and night cycles, AI-driven road traffic and optional driving activities, including Time Attack events seamlessly integrated into the open-world environment.
This video offers fans a unique opportunity to discover the world surrounding the Nürburgring through the eyes of one of its most recognizable ambassadors. Taking viewers on a journey beyond the circuit itself, Nürburgring expert and racing driver Misha Charoudin explores Assetto Corsa EVO’s Free Roam mode, stopping at several iconic landmarks and hidden gems from across the Eifel region. Drawing on years of experience both on and around the Nürburgring, Misha showcases the realism of the game’s recreation, highlighting how faithfully roads, locations, and local points of interest have been brought to life.
