About B.Duck

Designed by Eddie Hui in 2005, B.Duck was originally a gift for his children, he wanted to design a lovely rubber duck toy to accompany the children grow up. He created B. Duck by giving him twinkling eyes and lovely smiles and also playfully incorporating his own hairstyle to B.Duck’s appearance.

Creation of B.Duck was inspired by a real story of rubber ducks. In 1992, cargo ship container that were headed from China to Washington DC, tumbled in the North Pacific, rough seas and huge waves knocked the duckies overboard. 29, 000 rubber ducks began their incredible journey for more than 20 years. These rubber ducks have bobbed halfway around the world. 10, 000 pcs of them have washed up into Arctic ice, the rest of them went South to the shores of Japan, Australia, Indonesia and South America. B. Duck’s parents were one of the Floatees; they have been always role model for B.Duck- positive and love.

B.Duck is designed under the motto of “Be Playful” to appeal to a wide range of consumers across different demographics and has established footprints in Thailand, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico and other countries in Asia and Europe.

Capcom Arcade Stadium Review

Capcom Arcade Stadium

Developer: Capcom
Publisher: Capcom
Platforms:PlayStation 4 , Switch (Reviewed), Xbox One, PC
Release Date: Available Now
Price: $39.99 – Available Here

Overview

It now has been over eight years since Capcom Arcade Cabinet released on consoles. With those machines mostly in the past, the timing is right for another re-release of Capcom’s finest. Capcom Arcade Stadium bundles together some of the finest arcade releases, dating from 1984 to 2001. Yes, we know what to expect here, but how does it play and is this package worth its new asking price? Let’s find out.

Story

Outside of mild moments in Street Fighter and Ghosts and Goblins, or a small intermission from time to time, you won’t find a lot of narrative here. Beat things up, blast them, repeat, and now and then see an “ending” that was created to give the player a reward. These were quarter munchers years ago, and while the quality of every game within is rather decent, don’t hop in here and expect to see some stunning tale unfold before your eyes.

Gameplay

What Capcom Arcade Stadium does well is service as a platform for some fantastic titles on consoles. For instance, 1941, 1943, and so on are a lot of fun to play, and while short, offer a lot of incentive to hot in and shoot some ships. Other offerings such as Final Fight will be instantly recognizable, with other niche international releases like Powered Gear round out the collection to make it feel complete. Emulation was done almost perfect from my experience with each one of these titles, and minor additions such as being able to rewind gameplay do a lot to make these titles more accessible to current players, so it was good to see the attention placed there.

I typically would not spend time listing the games within as this is the review, but I think it is very important for this piece to understand the titles within, for good reason.

  • VULGUS
  • PIRATE SHIP HIGEMARU
  • 1942
  • COMMANDO
  • SECTION Z
  • Tatakai no Banka
  • LEGENDARY WINGS
  • BIONIC COMMANDO
  • FORGOTTEN WORLDS
  • Ghouls ‘n Ghosts
  • STRIDER
  • DYNASTY WARS
  • FINAL FIGHT
  • 1941 – Counter Attack –
  • Senjo no OkamiⅡ
  • MEGA TWINS
  • CARRIER AIR WING
  • STREET FIGHTER II – The World Warrior –
  • CAPTAIN COMMANDO
  • VARTH – Operation Thunderstorm –
  • WARRIORS OF FATE
  • STREET FIGHTER II’ – Hyper Fighting –
  • SUPER STREET FIGHTER II TURBO
  • Powered Gear – Strategic Variant Armor Equipment –
  • CYBERBOTS – FULLMETAL MADNESS –
  • 19XX – The War Against Destiny –
  • Battle Circuit
  • Giga Wing
  • 1944 – The Loop Master –
  • Progear

As you see, there are 32 titles within Arcade Stadium. The main issue is that these games can be purchased in installment, and the actual content is a bit questionable if you happen to be a seasoned Capcom fan. While I love the Street Fighter II love on display and played a ton of Capcom’s beat-em ups, I will say that seeing them stapled in here for the sake of content despite being released in other compilations fairly recently kind of put me off a bit. Sure, there are new backgrounds to add and a slightly different aesthetic, but everyone I know who would buy this bought the other titles the day they came out, myself included. While filler content is forgivable, I think it was fairly brave of Capcom to dive in with so many titles they have re-released in other collections.

Does that ruin the collection? No, not at all. There is value here even if you own those titles, as you get a great number of high-quality ports in one refined package. That said, it’s a good idea to peer over the list before purchasing to ensure what this compilation has for you. There is a lot of love and history bundled in the special features, so even if you are not in the mood to play, watching that tribute video or flipping through manuals will be sure to crack a smile to any nostalgic player’s face.

Visuals

Visually, there is a lot going on here. Some games such as Battle Circuit and Street Fighter II are brightly lit and very colorful, while others such as any of the 1940’s games keep duller tones to focus on their core mechanics. It’s a mix, but the art styles are all on full display and look fantastic for the most part. Players can customize their backdrops on cabinets, and even manually enter quarters into the machines to keep playing. Display ratios were my only issue here, as I didn’t like the camera view of the cabinet themselves and would always change it when playing a game to a more fitting filter. Instead of remembering my choice, Arcade Stadium doesn’t have an option to do so it seems, and players must reset their screen format preference upon entering each game. It doesn’t take but a second to change, but definitely a mild annoyance.

Audio

The music here is legendary. I mean, just scroll up and look at the list of titles involved. There is something special about the soundtracks within this selection, and that may be a good trigger for fans to dive in to this compilation. All voices, sounds, and so on play as they should, with little issue of distortion or static (as some ports seem to have from other companies).

Overall

Capcom Arcade Stadium is a fantastic compilation that is sure to please any fan of the brand. That said, if you have already purchased the beat-em up or Street Fighter collections, you may want to ensure this pack is for you before taking the plunge. I personally love bundles like this and just getting to play 1941 again (which doesn’t get enough credit) gave me a lot of joy. Arcade Stadium is perfect for jump in and out gameplay sessions, offering players quick entry into their own past at a fairly decent price.

POKÉMON ANNOUNCES NEW VIDEO GAMES POKÉMON BRILLIANT DIAMOND, POKÉMON SHINING PEARL, AND POKÉMON LEGENDS: ARCEUS

Updates on New Pokémon Snap and In-Game Events Celebrating 25 Years of Pokémon Also Revealed

London, United Kingdom—February 26, 2021—Today, during a Pokémon Presents video presentation, Tsunekazu Ishihara—president and CEO of The Pokémon Company—announced Pokémon Brilliant DiamondPokémon Shining Pearl, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus—new video games coming to the blockbuster series that spans 25 years. Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl will launch in late 2021, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus will launch in early 2022. All three games will be available exclusively on the Nintendo Switch™ system.

In 2006, Trainers were introduced to the Sinnoh region with the release of Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl on the Nintendo DS system. Players can once again visit the Sinnoh region in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl, which are faithful remakes of two iconic Pokémon games. Pokémon Legends: Arceus will introduce fans to the Sinnoh region of old—before the existence of Pokémon Trainers and Pokémon Leagues. It’s in this long-gone era that players will embark on an entirely new adventure to create the region’s first Pokédex.

“Trainers caught their first Pokémon in 1996 and began an adventure that has lasted 25 years. Through eight regions, many different platforms, and countless Pokémon encounters, they have strived to be the very best,” said Mr. Ishihara. “We hope that fans of all ages will enjoy creating new memories while exploring the Sinnoh region in these new games.”

More details about the highly anticipated New Pokémon Snap game were also shared in the video presentation, in addition to information about special in-game events taking place in celebration of Pokémon’s 25th anniversary.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl
Developed by ILCA, Inc., and directed by Junichi Masuda (GAME FREAK) and Yuichi Ueda (ILCA), Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl enable fans to experience the original story and game features from Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl in a fresh way. The original games have been faithfully reproduced and colourfully revitalized for Nintendo Switch. The sense of scale of the towns and routes has been carefully preserved, and fans who played the original games will recognize many familiar places. These games are updated with the easy-to-understand, player-friendly conveniences introduced in recent Pokémon core series video games, in addition to up-close-and-personal Pokémon battle scenes.

Trainers will choose either Turtwig, Chimchar, or Piplup to be their first partner Pokémon before setting off on their journey. Along the way, they will be able to encounter the Legendary Pokémon Dialga in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and the Legendary Pokémon Palkia in Pokémon Shining Pearl.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus
The fun of exploring while catching Pokémon and filling in a Pokédex has always been a core part of the Pokémon video game series. Pokémon Legends: Arceus was developed with the desire to deliver an experience infused with new action and RPG elements that go beyond the framework established thus far, while honoring the core gameplay of past Pokémon titles.

As Trainers explore the natural expanses in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, they’ll encounter Pokémon that call these grand vistas home. To catch wild Pokémon, players can study the Pokémon’s behaviours, sneak up to them, then throw Poké Balls. Players can also battle wild Pokémon with their ally Pokémon. By throwing the Poké Ball holding their ally Pokémon near a wild Pokémon, players will seamlessly enter battle. This new gameplay angle is intended to provide Trainers with an immersive experience.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus brings Trainers to the vast Sinnoh region as it existed in the past, long before the setting for Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl was established. Rich in nature and with Mount Coronet towering at its heart, this is a Sinnoh unlike anything Trainers have experienced before as they embark to create the region’s first Pokédex.

As they start off on their adventure, Trainers will be able to choose either Rowlet, Cyndaquil, or Oshawott as their first partner Pokémon. These three Pokémon arrived with a Pokémon Professor, who encountered them on research excursions to various regions.

Rowlet
Category: Grass Quill Pokémon
Height: 0.3 m
Weight: 1.5 kg
Type: Grass/Flying

This Pokémon from the Alola region uses photosynthesis to store up energy during the day and becomes active at night. It can silently glide to its target and begin pelting it with vicious kicks.

Cyndaquil
Category: Fire Mouse Pokémon
Height: 0.5 m
Weight: 7.9 kg
Type: Fire

Cyndaquil, a timid Pokémon that is often curled up in a ball, is from the Johto region. The flames on its back flare up when it’s surprised and can also be used to protect itself when attacked.

Oshawott
Category: Sea Otter Pokémon
Height: 0.5 m
Weight: 5.9 kg
Type: Water

Oshawott is from the Unova region and has a scalchop on its stomach. It uses the scalchop to retaliate against attacks and to break open hard Berries.

Arceus
Category: Alpha Pokémon
Height: 3.2 m
Weight: 320 kg
Type: Normal

Arceus is said to have shaped all there is in this world.

New Pokémon Snap
New Pokémon Snap is a previously announced video game in which players will take on the role of a budding Pokémon photographer in the Lental region. There they will work with Professor Mirror, the region’s expert, on an ecological survey to photograph Pokémon thriving in nature. The game will be available on April 30, 2021, on the Nintendo Switch family of systems.

Wild Pokémon thrive on the islands of the Lental region, where environments can differ greatly, making for a variety of habitats where different Pokémon expressions and behaviours can be observed. Players will be able to get their attention by playing a melody or throwing fluffruit. They’ll also be able to use an Illumina orb (an invention of Professor Mirror’s) on Pokémon to witness something out of the ordinary. They can even use their camera to run scans, which can help them find hidden Pokémon or inspect their surroundings. As players keep researching a course, their research level there will increase, and they may discover Pokémon acting in different ways. Trainers may even encounter Legendary Pokémon or Mythical Pokémon.

A photo’s score will be based on the subjects’ poses, how large they appear, how directly they’re facing the camera, and where they fall in frame. Each photo will get one to four stars, indicating how common or rare the behaviour displayed is. Players will have to take many photos to fill out their Photodex, which is their collection of Pokémon photographs.

Photos taken while conducting research can also be saved to a personal album, which is separate from the Photodex. When a course is completed, players can use the re-snap function to adjust the brightness, blur, zoom, and other aspects of their recently snapped photos. After photos are saved to the personal album, a photo-editing mode will enable players to customize their photos with stickers, frames, and filters.

New Pokémon Snap also has several online features that enable players to share photos and compete with others around the world through ranking systems.[1]

Single Player Card Combat RPG, Cardaclysm: Shards of the Four, Officially Releases on Steam Today

Cologne – February 26, 2021 – Publisher Headup and their long-time partner Elder Games are pleased to announce the official release of Cardaclysm: Shards of the Four on Steam today for $14.99 / €14.99 / £11.99. To mark the official release, the game is available with 40% discount for the first 7 days.

Initially launched in Early Access last July, the full release will unlock the ferocious final boss, a new deathly realm, and end game content. The official release will complete the game with all remaining cards and artifacts gained through hard-won battles to defeat the final boss.

Cardaclysm: Shards of the Four is a procedurally generated collectible card game with action RPG elements. Tinkering with magic and spells beyond his ability, a dark wizard accidentally unleashes The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and their minions. The only way to send them back to the fiery pit from whence they came is by battling with 240+ cards and 40 artifacts.

In the final chapter of the game, players must fight brutal creatures called “Agents of Death” at every corner. An Agent of Death is a new enemy type appearing for the first time with its own keywords. Only those who win enough keys are allowed to enter the final realm and face the ultimate boss: Death himself.

Cardaclysm: Shard of the Four is available in English, French, German, Russian, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese. The game will launch on other platforms later this year.
