Military online shooter Enlisted receives a new update – “At the Reichstag Walls”

The update brings new maps, weapons and squads for all three available campaigns

Gaijin Entertainment and Darkflow Software announced that the military online shooter Enlisted just got a new major Content Update “At the Reichstag Walls” that features new maps, weapons and vehicles for all campaigns. The “Battle of Berlin” campaign closed beta testing has moved into the second stage, where the progression system is unlocked for CBT participants and anyone can try the entry level squads.

Each of the new maps bring something special to the game experience. In the Normandy campaign, players have an airfield  to protect or capture. The aircraft at the base are fuelled and ready for action, so brave soldiers can use them for the additional support. The Battle of Moscow expands to a huge Soviet forestry complex that includes a tree cutting operation and river raft assembly, complete with industrial buildings and a rail station. The Berlin campaign now features the battle for the Wilhelmstrasse, one of Berlin’s most famous streets, and one of the routes the Red Army took to attack the Reich Chancellery.  The street is well fortified, so infantry will have to use the narrow side lanes and buildings to advance, and bayonets will prove to be quite effective here.

All campaigns get new progression levels, that bring dozens of new squads, weapons and vehicles, including the PTRS 41 anti-tank rifle, the M1A1 Thompson submachine gun, M24 Chaffee light tank, Republic P-47D-28 Thunderbolt and the Fw 190 A-8 fighter planes. All were used in the corresponding periods of World War II.

The Closed Beta Test of the Battle of Berlin has moved into the second stage, where the progression system is being polished. Therefore, Berlin CBT participants are now earning campaign experience and can start unlocking campaign levels, improve squads, choose weapons and equipment, and recruit new soldiers. The progression starts from level 1 and will not be wiped after the CBT ends. Full access to the Berlin CBT is available to the relevant early access pack owners, but now anyone can try Berlin battles using basic level 1 squads.

Two other campaigns, which are the Battle of Moscow and the Invasion of Normandy, are fully available to everyone for free.

In Lightracer: Ignition all matter is slowly being torn apart by the expansion of the universe called the Big Rip. The core gameplay is that of an idle game, which provides a relaxing experience, while the immersive storytelling allows the players to read up on all the extensive lore the team prepared.

“What makes our game stand out from other mobile experiences is the emphasis and depth of the story”, said the team at Startmelon. “Lightracer: ignition has a philosophical background and more than 150 thousand words that significantly expand the and deepen the world.”

Alongside the story, players will discover and unlock new gameplay modes while progressing: after starting with collecting energy and building celestial projects, they will fight in interstellar wars and build tower defense structures, and later participate in space wars that offer another layer of complexity. On their journey they will also have the help of three advanced AIs that have different characteristics, and also collect Star Children – iconic figures of various civilizations that further enrich the experience.

“My passion for both game creation and science fiction is what motivated me to make Lightracer: Ignition”, said the game’s producer, Shu Li. “Most of the world view and story setting are born out of our tactical role-playing game experiences and many plots pay tribute to classic sci-fi works such as Blade Runner, Space Odyssey: Voyage to the Planets, Cyberpunk, The Matrix, and The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.”

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six® Siege Reveals the Second Season of Year 6: North Star

Rainbow Six Siege welcomes Thunderbird, an Operator from the Nakoda First Nation, among many other updates

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA — May 24, 2021 — Today, Ubisoft® revealed the second season of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six® Siege Year 6: North Star and its new indigenous Operator, Thunderbird, coming from the Nakoda nation, a North American First Nation, in addition to an entirely reworked Favela map, and more.

In North Star, players will discover a brand-new Defender: Thunderbird. She deploys Kóna Healing Stations, which heal any player – ally or enemy – as long as they are within close proximity to this device, even if they are downed, and has a short cooldown between each charge. Thunderbird is a low armor, high-speed operator, equipped with the SPEAR .308 or SPAS-15 as primary weapon, and BEARING 9 or Q-929 as a secondary weapon.

In addition, North Star introduces a reimagined Favela map with reworked rooms, better map overview and improved navigation. These changes will improve readability, making sure players always know where they are and where they are going when playing on Favela.

On the Test Servers, two new features will be trailed this season: a revamped armour system and activities after death. Players’ armour will be converted to additional health so they have better visibility on their armour’s impact. Additionally, players will have new activities after death, with Attackers being able to control their own drones while some Defenders will be able to use their gadgets after their death (including Maestro, Echo or Mozzie). These changes will have a strong impact on gameplay and need to be tested to get players’ feedback. They will be available on the Test Server only and will not release on live servers at North Star launch.

Additional updates coming with North Star include:

  • Scoreboard 2.0
  • New corpse icons
  • Bullet holes fix
  • Operator balancing (Melusi, Mira, and Maestro tweaks and Gas Propagation rework)

The Test Server for North Star will go live on May 25. The Test Server is an alternative version of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, allowing players to test upcoming gameplay features that will make their way into the main game itself. Since this is a testing environment, a consistent gameplay experience is not guaranteed on the Test Server. Players are invited to submit the issues they encounter on the Test Server on the R6 Fix platform here.

Rehabilitate Inmates and Reduce Sentences in Prison Architect: Second Chances

Paradox expands the prison management simulator’s inmate reform systems – coming in June

STOCKHOLM — May 21, 2021 —  Paradox Interactive and Double Eleven announced the next expansion for Prison Architect, titled Second Chances, during today’s PDX CON Remixed showcase. Prison Architect: Second Chances introduces prisoner rehabilitation programs, allowing inmates to reduce their sentences and reintegrate into society. The Second Chances expansion will launch first for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on June 16, and will arrive later for Nintendo Switch on June 29.

Each program in Prison Architect: Second Chances offers a different means of rehabilitating a prisoner and changing their behavior. Positive behavioral changes can lead to sentence reductions, giving inmates a chance to return to their lives beyond the prison. Reoffending inmates will cost Wardens, encouraging players to implement and oversee these programs with care.

“Inmate rehabilitation in Prison Architect is something we have wanted to explore for a while, but we needed to research how to do it properly first,” says Gaz Wright, Games Design Manager on Prison Architect at Double Eleven. “The programs in this expansion have been implemented in correctional facilities around the world and have started to see real results. We strived to make their implementation in Prison Architect feel authentic while maintaining the signature style players have come to expect from the game.”

Prison Architect: Second Chances Key Features:

  • Return to Reform: Non-work programs, such as Animal Therapy, Meet & Greet, and Former Prisoner Classes can remove an inmate’s negative traits and see improved behaviors.
  • Good Behavior: Inmates can have their sentences reduced or increased based on their actions and reoffenders can now be sent back to prison. Players will be fined for each reoffender.
  • Room for Improvement: Inmates with existing or earned work credentials can become vendors to both prisoners and visitors in inmate-run rooms, including a Bakery, Restaurant and Therapy Room.
  • Back to Society: Inmates can earn work credentials through experience partaking in different work and training programs.
