Take on two new Scavenge maps: Mount Logmore and Grizzly Creek. With the new competitive FIFA season set to kick off, FIFA has today announced the introduction of three dedicated narratives and also released qualification dates and information for FIFA’s esports events played on EA SPORTS FIFA 21.

The new FIFAe tournament structurehas been created to unify and highlight three clear and distinct narratives of competitive FIFA: players, clubs and nations. New qualification opportunities will arise with the new stand-alone narratives, with each leading up to the respective FIFA pinnacle event.

Competitors will have the chance to represent their club in the FIFAe Club Series, compete for national pride and for their country in the FIFAe Nations Series or create their own legacy in the EA SPORTS FIFA 21 Global Series on the Road to the FIFAe World Cup™.

Up to 100 players will be able to snake through WWI trenches and storm battlefields beginning Wednesday 21st October, priced at $34.99 USD, €29.99 EUR or £27.79 GBP. Beyond the Wire is the premier game of Canadian indie developer, Redstone Interactive, and is the newest title published by Offworld Industries.

Beyond The Wire is a large-scale multiplayer first person shooter that immerses players in the visceral and chaotic battles of World War I. The Western Front is brought to life in all of its shocking and bloody realism, with up to 100 players fighting across deadly open battlefields and claustrophobic horrors of trench combat in the most stunningly-detailed tactical FPS of WW1 that has been seen in a game to date.

Playing as a member of elite American, French and German armies, teams will need to work together in order to survive in Beyond The Wire. The lives of your squad will depend on tight communication, unit cohesion, quick wits and skills to break through the frontlines and crush the enemy. Squads will be able to utilize period-appropriate guns such as pistols, rifles, poisonous gas, shotguns and machine guns, as well as clubs, bayonets and more with Beyond The Wire’s advanced tactical close-quarters melee combat system bringing the horrors of war up-close-and-personal unlike anything that has been seen in a first-person shooter before.

Across the Battles of Zonnebeke, Frise, Ansoncourt and more real-world locations from WW1, multiple game modes allow players a choice of how they experience The Great War. Environments seeped in historical accuracy fully immerse players in each theatre of war as the 50 vs 50 player large-scale conflicts rage on in all directions as far as the player can see, with tight corners, limited vision and muddy debris-strewn pathways that are all fraught with danger.

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA (OCTOBER 14, 2020) – GSD Group — an innovation and strategy agency — announced today that it has hired world-renowned architecture and design firm Gensler and unveiled their vision for the highly anticipated pop culture and video game-inspired Atari® Hotels with the first two hotels to open in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Phoenix, Arizona. In addition, GSD Group has secured the rights to build future Atari Hotels opening in Austin, Chicago, Denver, San Francisco, San Jose, and Seattle. The newly announced Las Vegas location will bring an experience that has never existed in a market primed for evolution.

Announced earlier this year as an exclusive licensing agreement with Atari®, the iconic entertainment brand behind seminal video games properties such as Asteroids®, Centipede®, and PONG®, Atari Hotels will offer guests a wholly unique hospitality experience inspired by, and built with, classic and modern video game culture in mind.

Futuristic rogue-lite FPS PositronX blasts its way out of Early Access on October 29th

Whatever kills you only makes you stronger

Bucharest, Romania – October 14th, 2020 – Games developer Scorpius Games are pleased to announce its rogue-lite first person shooter PositronX is leaving Early Access and launching fully on Steam this October 29th for £17.99 / $19.99 / €19,99 with a 10% discount. PositronX focuses on strategic fast paced combat, creative time & space mechanics, detailed graphics and phoenix-like rising from the ashes as players blast their way through the always new algorithmically generated levels. 

PositronX leaves Early Access fully loaded with added extras: A new stage will be added at launch in addition to the current three stages. Three new characters will join the current roster: Quark – a silent but deadly assassin, Neutron – a devastating damage dealer and Graviton – a master of Time. The arsenal at your disposal is also increasing with two new weapons to unload on your opponents: the Core gun and Time gun. All of this will be needed and more when finally coming face to face with the game’s big final boss – The Machina.

In PositronX, rooms are algorithmically generated from a pool of predefined constructs for every play through and death is permanent! This results in no environmental recall to assist you since players will tackle a brand new industrial dungeon every time. However with each fall, you rise again stronger with hordes of new loot and implants at your disposal. These implants bestow abilities that will allow players to manipulate the fire fight into their favour such as altering time and space, summon minions to help you, shrink in size, create decoys among others. On top of being able to wall run to outwit their opponents, players can slow down, stop or rewind time itself, soar above their enemies, use telekinesis to stop bullets inflight before flinging them back at your adversaries and even teleport across vast spaces in an instant. 

Choose between seven different playable characters with their own unique abilities and load out with a cache of weapons, all upgradable, as you make your way through every stage with deadly force. PositronX’s movement mechanics and retro industrial aesthetic compliment the perfect combination of 90s shooter gameplay akin to Quake 2 & Descent with a roguelite design to form a highly combative, addictively re-playable experience.
