The iconic series reaches a quarter of a century as it prepares for the launch of its latest incarnation, Worms Rumble, on 1st December.

Tuesday, 17th November 2020 – Team17 is today celebrating 25 years of its most iconic franchise, Worms. First launched on 17th November 1995 on the Commodore Amiga, Worms games have featured on console, PC, and mobile platforms throughout the hardware generations, with more than 75 million copies enjoyed.

Originally produced as ‘Total Wormage’ by creator Andy Davidson the Worms series has long expanded and experimented with new concepts and gameplay, including 2003’s Worms 3D and 2011’s Worms Crazy Golf. The latest installment – the fast paced, real-time action Worms Rumble – will continue this inventive trend on 1st December when it launches on PlayStation® 5, PlayStation 4, and PC.

Warner Bros. Games and NetherRealm Studios today revealed a pair of blockbuster Mortal Kombatä  11 Ultimate Gameplay Trailers featuring the highly anticipated showdown making its way to the Mortal Kombat universe – Rambo vs. the Terminator!

This Klassic Konfrontation brings together the two popular culture icons in brutal fashion, pitting Rambo, the former Special Forces soldier, against the Terminator T-800, the ruthless cyborg assassin. In the new trailers, each with an alternate ending, Rambo draws first blood and is triumphant in round one, followed by the Terminator winning round two. World of Tanks brews partnership with Australian owned, Ironside Coffee Co.

Wargaming’s flagship game, World of Tanks is excited to announce a partnership with Australian family-run company Ironside Coffee Co. – an Australian  Veteran Owned Business that embodies a similar ethos to recognising military history as Wargaming. The collaboration will see Ironside produce a World of Tanks coffee, Arabica Premium Coffee Roast (APCR). World of Tanks have also created Invite Codes for Ironside customers who purchase from Ironside’s Canberra based online store and mobile coffee van.

Run by husband and wife team; Ben and Nyomie Horton, who have collectively served in the Australian military for over 30 years, Ironside Coffee operates out of Canberra. The team’s interest and involvement in the military continues to this day, with Ben producing the Ironside Podcast; a regular podcast that focuses on lessons learnt from leaders in the Australian Defence Force.

The ACPR naming is a nod to ‘Armour Piercing Composite Round’ which is the main ammunition used by most battle tanks.

NETMARBLE ISSUES FISCAL AND EARNINGS RESULTS FOR THE THIRD QUARTER OF 2020

Q3 Performance Remains Steady Thanks to Strong Interest from Overseas Players

Los Angeles, California – November 13, 2020 – Netmarble Corp., a global mobile game company focused on creating entertaining gaming experiences for players of all ages, revealed their financial results for the third quarter of 2020.

“We continue to see strong results at the end of our third quarter with significant overseas sales coming from our line-up of existing games,” said Seungwon Lee, Co-CEO of Netmarble. “We have positive expectations for the recent global launch of A3: STILL ALIVE, our upcoming regional launch of Seven Knights 2, and Kabam’s upcoming release of MARVEL Realm of Champions.”

Selected highlights from Netmarble’s third quarter include:

  • $535 million in total sales, $73 million in operating profit, and a net profit of $77 million from July through September. Cumulative sales for 2020 are estimated at $1.55 billion, with an operating profit of $158 million.
  • Total sales increased by 3.6% year-over-year and decreased by 6.3% quarter-on-quarter. Operating profit increased 3.6% year-over-year and 7% quarter-on-quarter.
  • Net profit increased by 9.2% year-over-year and 8.6% quarter-on-quarter.
  • Overseas sales accounted for 75% ($399 million) of overall sales in the third quarter. This follows Netmarble’s second quarter which offered the highest figure of overseas sales, and continues to follow an increasing trend in global sales thanks to the worldwide success of titles such The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross (17% of revenue earned), MARVEL Contest of Champions (15% of revenue earned) (Kabam), Lineage 2: Revolution (9% of revenue earned) and Blade&Soul Revolution (8% of revenue earned).
  • Genre portfolio showed diversification across RPG (40%), Casual (25%), MMORPG (23%), and others (12%).

Season 2 introduces new gameplay mechanics, maps, vehicles, and customization items, as well as bonus free content for all players.

Here’s everything in store for you in Season 2:

  • Two new maps set in Canada’s vast Yukon territory: Flooded Foothills and Big Salmon Peak. Both maps are 4km² and mean SnowRunner is now 50% larger than it was at launch!
  • Three new vehicles: the CAT 770G, the largest truck ever in the franchise; the CAT TH357D AG, a versatile forklift; and the KRS 58 “Bandit,” an 8×8 with a built-in light crane for rescue missions.
  • Pioneering new gameplay: Gather resources and use the new cargo crafting system to build a huge ore processing plant from the ground up to help bring the wilderness under control.
