UBISOFT ANNOUNCES NEW CHARITY BUNDLE INITIATIVE FOR TOM CLANCY’S RAINBOW SIX® SIEGE

Ubisoft Will Kick Off the Sixth Guardian Program with The AbleGamers Charity

Sydney, Australia – November 24, 2020 — Today Ubisoft announced the launch of the Sixth Guardian Program, a new series of charity bundles in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six® Siege. Starting in Year 5 Season 4, the game will feature a special charity bundle, with new bundles added in future Seasons to support different non-profit organizations. With this bundle, Rainbow Six Siege players will have the opportunity to access unique in-game items and donate to great causes.

To kick off the initiative, Ubisoft is partnering with The AbleGamers Charity, a U.S.-based non-profit organization that aims to support players with disabilities by providing gamers with the tools they need to enjoy their playing experience and by promoting inclusion in the video game industry. Beginning at the launch of Year 5 Season 4, Rainbow Six Siege players will be able to purchase a bundle with a uniform, weapon skin, charm, and headgear. One hundred percent of net proceeds, with a minimum of $6 USD per bundle sold, will be donated to The AbleGamers Charity.

Acclaimed Species-Building Tabletop Game Flows Smoothly to Digital Format

KENSINGTON, MD. – 24 November 2020 – Oceans Lite, the digital adaptation of the species building tabletop strategy game Oceans, sets sail today on Android and iOS and is now available as a free download worldwide.

Oceans, part of North Star Games’ Evolution line of games, released this year following a massively successful Kickstarter campaign which raised more than $750,000 USD. Survive in an ever-changing ecosystem by crafting new species of animals. Twelve Surface traits and a huge array of Deep cards representing the unexplored depths of the ocean provide the means to survive and thrive in the harsh underwater environment.

Randomly chosen Scenario cards change the seascape of each playthrough. Combine various traits rooted in science to face these challenges by developing symbiotic relationships, or evolve carnivorous traits to feast on foes. Build the most successful species to rule the seas.

Oceans Lite introduces new players to the world and strategies of Oceans while giving veterans a chance to sharpen their skills. This one or two player implementation of the tabletop game features a learn-while-you-play tutorial from Darwin himself, a solo mode pitting gamers against multiple levels of A.I. opponents, and a pass-and-play mode for going head-to-head against a friend.

Oceans Lite currently includes 20 Deep cards and four Scenario cards for significant replayability, offering a taste of the full game’s millions of unique combinations of species and environments. Additional packs of Deep and Scenario Cards will become available for purchase, allowing players to dive deeper into Oceans. The neural network A.I. will also continue to learn, presenting an ever greater challenge.

Path of Exile News: Path of Exile Ends 2020 With Three Epic December Events

Holiday shopping isn’t the only thing that will fill up your time next month

Auckland, New Zealand, November 23, 2020 – Grinding Gear Games is announcing three epic events that will be taking place in Path of Exile during December 2020 to end the year with a bang, bang, bang. The events include a one-week Mayhem Event, a one-week Endless Delve Event, and a three-week Heist Flashback Event that are guaranteed to keep the holiday spirit going strong leading up to the end of the Heist League and the launch of Path of Exile’s 3.13 endgame-focused expansion in January.

Starting at 12PM PT on December 4th, a one-week Mayhem Event will kick off by taking classic Path of Exile modifiers from past leagues Anarchy, Invasion, Breach, Ambush, Torment, and Harbinger and turning them up to 11. Each area in Wraeclast will have one of the following scenarios: 20 Rogue Exiles, 20 Strongboxes, 20 Invasion Bosses, 20 Breaches, 20 Tormented Spirits, or 20 Harbingers, with mods changing every hour.

The one-week Endless Delve event kicks off a week later on December 11th at 12PM PT, taking place entirely in the Azurite Mine. In this unique event, players start their plunge into the perilous darkness with some starter gear. Players will have access to the passive points normally gained from quests and incur Kitava’s resistance penalties at various level thresholds. Players can ascend their character using the Altar of Ascendancy from within the Mine Encampment while Lilly Roth and Niko will be available to provide skill gems. Players will not have access to their Hideouts or any towns, which means they’ll be going solo against the darkness. Good luck with that.

Last, but not least, is the three-week Heist Flashback Event. Starting on December 18th at 12PM PT, each game area will include several popular mods from past leagues, with a random selection of three of the following mods present, which will change each hour, on the hour:

●       2 Additional Invasion Bosses
●       1 Additional Breach
●       2 Additional Strongboxes
●       3 Additional Tormented Spirits
●       2 Additional Perandus Chests and a 33% chance to spawn Cadiro

Prizes for all three events include the new Demigod’s Authority, a Twilight Mystery Box for reaching level 50, and random microtransaction prizes at level 60, 70, 80, 85, 90, and 95 that will be drawn at the conclusion of each event.

Die by the Blade Completes Successful Kickstarter Campaign

One-Hit-Kill sword fighting game moves into next phase of development 

Košice, Slovak Republic – 23rd November, 2020. Publisher Grindstone and developers Triple Hill Interactive and Toko Midori can today announce that upcoming one-hit-kill sword fighting game Die by the Blade successfully reached its funding target via Kickstarter and has now moved into the next phase of development. 

A total of 478 backers pledged over $25k to support the continued development of Die by the Blade securing some exciting rewards along the way. The money raised will be used to expand on the current gameplay experience with higher quality animations using motion capture technology, expand the character roster and add in even more weapons.

“Following the successful Kickstarter campaign we now enter an exciting time for the development of Die by the Blade.” commented Peter Nagy, founder and CEO of publisher Grindstone. “We would like to thank all the backers who supported us during the campaign and welcome the many new fans to the DbtB community.
