The all-new Anniversary mode in WRC 10 offers rally fans the chance to relive certain famous WRC moments, from 1973 to present day. Celtic Storybook Platformer “Clan O’Conall” Joins Top Finalists in the Nordic Games Discovery Contest

Toronto, Canada – June 16, 2021 – Canadian indie game studio HitGrab Inc. is proud to join finalists in the Nordic Games Discovery Contest held in Mälmo, Sweden. Of all games submitted to the delegation for the event, the Celtic indie Clan O’Conall and the Crown of the Stag was the title panel judges felt was most deserving of recognition.  These finalists represent the finest selection of submissions to the 2021 delegation of the Nordic Game Discovery Contest, now entering its 19th year of operation. 

The Celtic indie platformer is notable for its gameplay; based around swapping between three characters to initiate combat and solve puzzles – as well as its unique visual style, drawing many comparisons to the golden era of Disney animation. 

Clan O’Conall launched this April following a Kickstarter campaign the previous year. Dark Deity Tactically Strikes Steam Today During E3

SAN FRANCISCO – 15 June, 2021 – Dark Deity, the turn-based tactical RPG inspired by the genre’s classics from developer Sword and Axe, lands a critical hit today by surprise launching for Windows PC on Steam, as revealed during publisher Freedom Games’ E3 2021 showcase. 

Taking inspiration from beloved tactical role-playing games, Dark Deity takes its turn bringing a genre back to its roots. Thirty voiced characters featuring the talents of actors such as Kira Buckland (Nier Automata, Persona 5 Strikers, Demon Slayer) breathe new life into classically styled pixelated characters. Every army takes turns each round moving individual units fulfilling fan-favorite roles, including mages and archers to warriors and clerics.

More than 50 unlockable classes await, providing a diverse crew ready for any situation, but don’t forget; when characters die they stay dead for the rest of the story. The Grave Wounds system, however, avoids the harshness of immediate perma-death. Units can recover a handful of times before succumbing to their injuries. Meanwhile, characters that take actions near one another will bond and unlock one of over 450 interactions resulting in hundreds of pairings.

The story follows Brookstead Military Academy recruits Irving, Garrick, Maren, and Alden as their training and graduation are expedited in response to King of Delia violating a thousand-year-long pact. Being thrust into a complex war, the quartet readies themselves for the possibility of never returning home. Compelling stories, striking character designs, and expressive combat pixel art solidify the early 2000s era Dark Deity aims to emulate.

Acclaimed Fantasy Shooter MushihimesamaNow Available on Nintendo Switch

TOKYO – 15 June 2021 – Mushihimesama, the beautifully detailed fantasy bullet hell shooter from genre masters CAVE Interactive Co., Ltd and publisher Live Wire, shadow drops and is now available on Nintendo SwitchTM without a previous announcement of the game coming to the platform, as revealed today during Nintendo Direct E3 2021. 

Reco, a human princess, protects her village from a plague in a world inhabited by gigantic insects known as Koju. Ride Reco’s trusty sidekick, a beetle named Kiniro, across five gorgeous stages filled with insectoid enemies to the heart of the Koju forest.

Guide Reco and Kiniro through evocative environments ranging from lush forests to lava-filled volcanic craters, using Reco’s own insects to cut through armies seeking to halt her journey. Weave in and out of Koju attacks as a violent and beautiful barrage of enemy bullets enshroud the screen during each encounter.

Each stage features a mid-boss, swarms of enemies, and a challenging final boss. Learn bosses’ attack patterns to avoid incoming damage from bullets raining down on Reco and Kiniro. Choose from one of three attack types to fight back, each with different combinations of move speed and shot patterns.

The S-Power attack type favors high mobility, with powerful shots fired straight ahead. W-Power fires shots more widely, but has the slowest movement capabilities of the three. Enjoy a medium speed with M-Power while firing shots in a cone that widens farther out from the character. Bombs clear the screen of shots while providing temporary invincibility, and equippable attack options offer forward-facing lasers and side guns to help clean up enemies passing by.

Battle across multiple difficulties tailored to various skill levels. Experience the thrills and dangers of Mushihimesama’s original arcade launch in Normal or ease into the thick of things in a re-balanced version of the game tuned for genre newcomers called Novice. Prepare for the unexpected in Arrange and v1.5, each a remixed and reimagined version of Mushihimesama with alternate soundtracks, mechanics, and bullet patterns.

Each difficulty offers three modes for further customization. Original Mode has fewer bullets on screen, though they move quickly and caution is required to survive. Maniac Mode’s bullets are slower but more numerous, creating true bullet hell curtains. Take on the ultimate challenge with Ultra Mode, where enemy attacks are truly intense and only the most skilled will achieve the highest scores.

Cardiff, Wales — June 16, 2021 | Wales Interactive, acclaimed for its FMV games, narrative-driven adventures, and interactive movies, confirms that two upcoming games are set to appear at the Steam Next Fest and Xbox Summer Game Fest demo events.

Night Book: Enter the world of the occult, in this psychological thriller starring Loralyn, a pregnant woman who finds herself in danger after accidentally summoning a demon into her home. After being tricked into reading an ancient text unleashing an untold evil, Loralyn must ask herself; who is she prepared to sacrifice to survive?

Completely live-action and shot remotely during lockdown, the full game will feature branching narrative paths and multiple endings.

Deathtrap Dungeon: The Golden Room: Based on Ian Livingstone’s multi-million selling gamebook, Deathtrap Dungeon: The Golden Room is an interactive movie featuring a daring female adventurer, a series of perilous tricks and traps, and a rich reward.

Featuring the same CGI technology used in Disney’s hit TV show The Mandalorian, the Deathtrap Dungeon: The Golden Room is a completely live-action fantasy adventure.
