Shoreline Games Confirms Release Date with Brand-New Trailer at Convergence Showcase
Switzerland, October 9, 2026 – Solo developer nospacelost, together with indie publisher Shoreline Games, has today confirmed that cozy, side-scrolling, slice-of-life adventure Kick will launch on Steam on November 3, 2026, following the new release date’s exclusive reveal during yesterday’s Convergence Showcase.
The announcement came via a brand-new trailer, offering players another glimpse at the game’s joyfully Japanese-infused landscapes, playful soccer challenges, and fleeting moments of childhood that await when ‘The Kid’ finally laces up his boots next month.
Following a busy summer that saw Kick take to the pitch at IGN Live and put players through their paces with its first playable demo during Steam Next Fest, that kick-off whistle is now so close we can almost hear it. With just under a month until launch, players won’t have long to wait before they can race through the streets, master their ball skills, and attempt to beat the dreaded school bell.
Watch the brand new Convergence Showcase trailer here
“The Convergence Showcase felt like the perfect place to reveal Kick’s launch date, having debuted the game’s previous trailer at the last showcase,” offered Keith Kawamura, CEO of Shoreline Games. “Indeed, the response to that trailer – and to Kick throughout the year, in fact – has been brilliant, and we couldn’t be more excited for everyone to experience nospacelost’s wonderfully charming world when the game launches on November 3.”
From bustling streets and scenic beaches to shaded underpasses and sprawling parks, Kick’s story will see players practising their skills in the park, running to catch the train and taking well-trodden shortcuts to shave much-needed seconds off their journey – all in the hope of beating the dreaded school bell.
With children around the world having returned to school after their summer holidays just last month, it’s a feeling we expect many players will know all too well.
“Kick has always been about those small, overlooked moments of childhood,” added nospacelost. “The response to the game and its demo has meant so much to me, and I’m incredibly excited that players will finally be able to experience The Kid’s full journey on November 5.” Kick Key Features:
Kick, jump, ‘n’ run through 23 levels, each with its own hazards and opportunities.
Beat the timer in select timed levels set to challenge your skills, or disable timers for a more laid-back experience.
Collect coins to unlock skins for your ball and flags, which can be displayed in-game.
Use your ball skills to complete in-game challenges
Kick will launch on Steam on November 3, 2026.

Sydney, Australia, 9 October 2026: Deep Silver and KING Art Games today revealed the fourth and final faction deep dive for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV, showcasing two playable Space Marine chapters: the Blood Ravens and the Dark Angels. Watch it here:
The Space Marines rely on steady expansion and powerful shock assaults to disrupt enemy forces. Elite, powerful, but fewer in numbers compared to the hordes of xenos, they depend on careful positioning and tactical flexibility to maintain the advantage.

Leading the Space Marines into battle are Captain Cyrus of the Blood Ravens and Company Master Astoran of the Dark Angels. Where Cyrus specialises in stealth, marksmanship and a well-timed air strike, Astoran leads from the front, his mighty Terminator armour making him near unstoppable.
Pummel the battlefield in a storm of Drop Pods. Channel your fury into searing Orbital Bombardments. Command humanity’s greatest warriors and last resort against the encroaching darkness.

Today, 2K and Gearbox Software released Hallowed Concepts, the fourth expansion coming to Risk of Rain 2, for PC, PlayStation 5, and XBOX Series X|S. Check out the launch trailer here.
Hallowed Concepts takes fans deeper into the cult-like world of N’Kuhana. To discover the hidden secrets of the N’tormat, players will fight through haunting new regions of Petrichor V, face horrific new enemies, and uncover powers never before possible in Risk of Rain 2.
The expansion offers powerful curses to overcome, deadly trials to face, and new stages to conquer, including the fetid depths of the returning Damp Caverns, the villages of the Tenebrous Quagmire, and the sacred ground of The Lurid Basilica.
Two New Playable Survivors: Acolyte and Enforcer Players can explore this new content as two new playable survivors: Acolyte and Enforcer.
The Acolyte personifies choosing more power at a great cost. She is a close-range glaive-wielder who can chain through anything she sees as she dances around the battlefield, toying with the souls of her enemies and bargaining with her own. A portion of the health the Acolyte loses, as well as incoming healing, is set aside for her to reclaim later while slicing through enemies. Her Sacrifice special brings her array of attacks together, marking an enemy and channeling the power of the Death God through it, ripping them apart in a burst of massive damage.
A returning survivor from the original Risk of Rain, the Enforcer laughs in the face of enemy attacks, pairing an unbreakable defense with dynamic, tactical movement and powerful, shield-focused abilities. Steel Protection blocks everything in front of his shield and can parry dangerous projectiles, sending them right back to their owners. Shield Tackle can close the distance and bring the Enforcer right into the center of the action to provide cover for other survivors. Finally, Rally Point creates a shockwave that knocks enemies away and leaves behind a barrier that gets restored with each kill.
Conquer the Trials of N’kuhana
Players can rely on the power of these new survivors to take on the Trials of N’kuhana, timed challenges that bring survivors into pocket realms, each with their own unique objectives and rewards. Trials come in three haunted flavors: Winnowings of Survival, Predation, and Mortality, where players must endure the pain, hunt down prey, or race for their very soul. A single timer is shared between all Trials, giving players a choice between attempting another Trials or returning to their run with the power they’ve collected.
Hallowed Concepts delivers plenty more new content as well, including new stages, bosses and enemies, item types, music, and more.
