Pound Your Opponents with Balls of Snow as Fast as You Can!
Back by overwhelmingly popular demand, Habbo’s most popular mini-game returns today! Immensely popular in its heyday, SnowStorm is an action packed game where you and your teammates have one mission: to throw as many snowballs at the opposing team as possible, as quickly as possible while avoiding hostile (snowball) fire from your opponents.
Duck, weave and run to out-maneuver your opponents all the while pelting them with a deluge of fluffy snowballs to rack up points. You can only carry 5 snowballs at a time, so you must aim to hit your adversaries hiding behind trees and bushes, or try your luck at hitting runners by anticipating their movements. Restock your frosty weapon supply at the snowball machine or by visiting the piles of snowballs, but you become a slow and easy target when you are restocking, so you’d better be quick!
“We’ve had a number of fans repeatedly ask us to bring back Snowstorm, and we’ve been working to reintroduce this incredibly popular mini-game from 2013 back into Habbo as part of our transition to Unity,” said Valtteri Karu, CEO of Sulake.

Lesquin, France, April 22, 2021 – Four brand-new teams are taking the Blood Bowl video game pitch in the famous franchise’s highly-anticipated third entry. Amongst the teams is a race that is not entirely unknown to fans: the Black Orcs! NACON and Cyanide Studio are giving you the opportunity to watch a gameplay video of this race so you can admire their crushing physical superiority.
Tired of the amateur performance of the other Greenskins, the Black Orcs have decided to create their own teams. Forget about passing, dodging and speed: above all, the Black Orcs are shining examples of how methodically and brutally grind opposing players into the dirt.
Lining up next to a Troll, whose extraordinary wild strength is only equalled by its striking stupidity, and Goblins that carry the ball and flood the pitch, the Orcs’ favorite tactic involves reaching the end zone by viciously crushing any opponents foolish enough to try to bar their way!
As violent as they are powerful, the Black Orcs are a formidable race in Blood Bowl 3. Additional videos will be released soon to highlight more teams, showing their strengths, weaknesses and the strategies they use in the game.
Planned for release in August 2021, the game will be available on PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Steam and Nintendo Switch™.

NieR Replicant’s Main Characters Emil and Protagonist Brought to Life by Origami Artist to Mark The Launch of The Modern Retelling of The Classic
Classic NieR Gestalt Opening Video Remade
SYDNEY (23rd April, 2021) – Today Square Enix Ltd., revealed breath-taking, paper re-creations of two of the main characters from NieR Replicant™ ver.1.22474487139… to mark today’s ANZ launch of the modern re-telling of NieR Replicant rebuilt for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One family of devices including Xbox One X, and tomorrow morning for PC (Steam*). The incredibly talented Finnish Origami artist Juho Könkkölä managed to recreate Emil and the Protagonist with the most intricate detail, capturing the beloved characters personality, attire, and weapons through his magical art form.
WATCH THE NIER-IGAMI MONTAGE VIDEO HERE
Having taken approximately 210 hours for the preparation and folding, the origami figures have been made using traditional Japanese paper folding techniques, both separately folded from a single square sheet of Wenzhou paper, without any cutting whatsoever.
Following a careful process of deciding the paper allocation and layout for the figures, Juho then planned out every complicated fold to give the art the key characteristic features that you see in the final design, including the hair, fingers, bespoke weapons, and decadent clothing. The folding process of each of the figures started with a pre-creasing process, whereby several hundred creases were made and folded on the square sheet of paper, which took him over a day for each character.
Then all the pre-made creases were folded into a stick figure, where all the main features came together to form the figure for each of the characters. The large, block like shapes, were then folded further to recreate the finer details in the art, such as the thin Katana sword wielded by the Protagonist or Emil’s trusty Mace, to capture those infamous characteristics from the videogame. The final element of the shaping then came from the ‘wet folding process’, where Juho put in all the finer shaping and detail.
“It was a long process to recreate the characters from NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… but I’m very proud of the final two pieces of art,” said Juho Könkkölä, Origami Artist. “When the concept was first brought to me, I instantly had a clear vision of how I could bring Emil and the Protagonist to life through the medium of Origami. The Protagonist was the hardest to recreate, due to the complex dimensional shapes, but I think the extra detail really adds to the final pieces. I hope I have done the franchise justice and that the fans enjoy my work.”

The Civilization® VI April update is now out. Available for anyone who owns Civilization VI – New Frontier Pass, this final game update includes a balance pass toward existing civilizations, three new units, two new True Start maps and improvements to the naval AI.
With all Civilization VI – New Frontier Passcontent released, this update takes the opportunity to tweak existing Civilizations and bring them in line with the latest leaders, with many of the changes stemming from player feedback. In addition, the April game update adds three brand new units available for all civilizations, two new True Start maps and naval AI balancing that raises the stakes for travel on the high seas.
With multiple new leaders and civilizations introduced in the last couple of months, the team revisited several existing civilizations to ensure balance. These include Spain, Khmer, China, Mapuche, Canada, Georgia and more; full details will be available in upcoming patch notes.
The April update adds three brand new units for all civilizations – Line Infantry, Man-At-Arms and the much-asked for Trebuchet. Because each unit changes the pacing of units in some areas, the team re-examined unit strengths across the board and made several changes, ensuring these new units feel like weighty upgrades and each smooths out previous combat differences.
For fans of True start maps, the April update adds True Start Mediterranean and True Start Huge Map. The naval AI has also seen improvements, with the computer making better use of naval units that lead to more interesting choices around naval production and warfare.
The April game update is the final of many free updates that were part of the overall content roadmap for Civilization VI – New Frontier Pass, available to anyone who owns the game.
Firaxis Games is a 2K studio. 2K is a wholly owned publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO).
*Certain balance changes only apply to civilizations and leaders not included in the base game.
Back in February 2021, we shared via Xbox Wire the backward compatibility team developed FPS Boost, a feature employing a variety of new methods for nearly doubling the original framerate on select titles. Higher, steadier framerates make games visually smoother, resulting in more immersive gameplay. We partnered closely with developers to enhance the experience while maintaining the game’s original intent. And while not applicable to all games, these new techniques can push game engines to render more quickly for a buttery smooth experience beyond what the original game might have delivered due to the limitations of the hardware at the time.
In some instances, because there are higher graphics requirements to enable FPS Boost technology, we’ve had to reduce a game’s resolution to ensure it both runs smoothly and plays great. In those select cases, FPS Boost is not automatically enabled for Xbox Series X gamers, but can easily be turned on under the Compatibility Options in the Manage game and add-ons setting. To experience FPS Boost and to be able to toggle the feature on and off, make sure your console has taken the latest update and you’ve rebooted your console.
To see if the game you’re playing is running FPS Boost or Auto HDR, you can also now just tap the Xbox Button on your controller while in the game and you’ll see a Guide overlay indicator in the upper right corner if the features are enabled or not. For more details about using these compatibility settings and setting up for 120hz gameplay, check out the following Xbox Support article:
