Shortlisted For The Narrative Game Award
Denver, CO – September 28th, 2021 – Independent games publisher Versus Evil in partnership with multi award winning development studio Mad About Pandas is pleased to announce that the atmospheric first-person mystery game, Hitchhiker – A Mystery Game has been nominated for The Narrative Game Award in the IndieCade Awards 2021. The Narrative Game Award celebrates accomplishment and innovation in the emergent art of interaction driven narrative.

Hitchhiker is a mystery game set along lost highways, where your goal is to solve the puzzle of your own backstory. As a hitchhiker with no memory or destination, you catch a series of rides across a strange and beautiful landscape, tracking the mysterious disappearance of a person close to you.

Hitchhiker: A Mystery Game is recipient of several award nominations and wins based on it’s First Ride Prototype including Intel Buzz Workshops Developer Award, and winner of the Game Connection Best Story award. The game was also a nominee in A MAZE earlier this year and won a Silver Prize for Best Storytelling as well as a Gold Prize for the Best Narrative at NYX Game Awards in 2021.
