Naula Studio Announces Necro Pop, a New 16-Bit “Arcadevania” Built for Neo Geo and Coming to Modern Platforms in 2027

Ghostly action platformer combines fast-paced arcade combat, dungeon exploration and vibrant pixel art, with a playable version coming to Tokyo Game Show 2026

Andorra – September 8, 2026. Independent developer Naula Studio today announced Necro Pop, an all-new action platformer that combines the fast-paced action of classic arcade games with dungeon exploration, character abilities and replayable challenges in a genre the team affectionately calls “Arcadevania.” Built from the ground up for the legendary Neo Geo MVS arcade board and AES home console platforms, Necro Pop will also launch digitally for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox and Steam, with releases planned for 2027.

Alongside today’s announcement, Naula Studio has released the first trailer for Necro Pop, providing a first look at its colourful 16-bit world, frenetic combat and ghostly protagonist, Poppi.

As well as the announcement trailer reveal, players can also play Necro Pop for themselves with a free demo available now on Steam. The demo gives players a taste of the game’s fast-paced Arcadevania action, showcasing its core mechanics, characters and abilities through the complete third level of the game. It offers an early opportunity to experience Poppi’s adventure firsthand and discover how combat, movement and exploration come together across the game’s dungeons.

Players will also get their first opportunity to go hands-on with Necro Pop at Tokyo Game Show 2026, where Naula Studio will showcase a playable version of the game from September 17–21 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.

Welcome to Ghostreach

In Necro Pop, players take control of Poppi, a ghost who finds herself caught in a battle against an evil darkness known as The Gloam. Having spread across the land of Ghostreach, The Gloam has trapped friendly ghosts throughout the world, leaving Poppi to set out on a mission to free them. Everything changes when Poppi discovers an ancient amulet that grants her a corporeal form. Armed with her newfound physical abilities, she sets out to push back The Gloam, explore the dungeons of Ghostreach and rescue her ghostly friends.

As players progress, they will discover new abilities, upgrades and secrets across multiple replayable dungeons, opening up new ways to approach both combat and exploration.

Arcade Action Meets Dungeon Exploration

Naula Studio describes Necro Pop as “Arcadevania”, a fusion of the immediate, pick-up-and-play action of classic arcade games with exploration, progression and secrets. Poppi has an arsenal of attacks and abilities at her disposal, giving players the freedom to decide how they want to tackle enemies and navigate the game’s challenges.

Players can strike enemies by charging up attacks for increased impact, unleash magical strikes such as fireballs, blow bubbles to assist with movement and even pogo across enemies. A mysterious minion may also join Poppi on her journey, providing another potential tool in the fight against The Gloam. Rather than locking players into a single approach, Necro Pop encourages experimentation, allowing different attacks, magic and movement abilities to be combined as players make their way through Ghostreach’s dungeons.

A New Game for a Classic Platform

At the heart of Necro Pop is Naula Studios’ passion for classic pixel art and Neo Geo hardware. Developed specifically for the Neo Geo MVS arcade board and AES home console, Necro Pop showcases vibrant, cartoon-inspired pixel art designed to bring its ghostly cast and world to life.

The game’s colourful visual style takes advantage of the Neo Geo’s capabilities to create a rich 16-bit world filled with expressive characters, enemies and environments that players can explore again and again.

While created with Neo Geo hardware at its core, Necro Pop will also bring its distinctive Arcadevania gameplay to modern audiences, with digital versions planned for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam in 2027.

Play Necro Pop at Tokyo Game Show 2026

Naula Studio will showcase a hands-on playable version of Necro Pop at Tokyo Game Show 2026, taking place from September 17–21 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.

Visitors and media attending the show will be able to get their first hands-on experience with Necro Pop, exploring its fast-paced Arcadevania gameplay, testing Poppi’s varied combat and movement abilities, and discovering the vibrant pixel-art world of Ghostreach.

Maximum Entertainment Announces In Control: Rocketry, a Rocket Building and Space Exploration Simulator

Coming to PC in 2027

Stockholm, SwedenSeptember 8, 2026 | Maximum Entertainment today announced In Control: Rocketry, a spaceflight simulator developed by Electromechanical Softworks. The game gives players complete control over every aspect of an orbital journey, from bolting together the rocket to wiring the panel that steers it. Coming to PC via Steam, In Control: Rocketry is built on realistic physics and propulsion systems, and asks one simple question: could you actually fly this thing?

Watch the In Control: Rocketry reveal trailer below:

In Control: Rocketry has players design a spacecraft from thrusters, fuel tanks and capsules, then build the control panel that operates it, wiring together sensors, inputs and outputs before testing the whole assembly and adjusting until it holds its flight path. Once airborne, players fly the craft themselves: working the panel, managing resources, and steering toward a destination using real orbital mechanics.

In Control: Rocketry features:

  • Construct Your Rocket: Combine thrusters, fuel tanks and capsules into a spacecraft, where every part’s purpose and mass changes how it flies.
  • Wire Your Own Control Panels: Connect sensors, inputs and outputs to make the rocket fly.
  • Explore a Solar System: Orbit an Earth-like planet, travel to its moon, and journey to the far reaches of space landing, or crashing, onto strange new worlds, each with its own challenges and puzzles.

Progress unlocks genuine rocket and control panel parts that open up new destinations, while asteroids can be redirected and mined for resources. Missions run both unmanned and manned, the latter adding life support to everything else a pilot is already juggling. For players who would rather experiment than plan, Sandbox Mode is a place to test rocket ideas, practice flying, or build purely for the fun of it.

In Control: Rocketry will release on PC via Steam in 2027. For more information, visit maximument.com/games/incontrolrocketry or follow @MaximumEntmt on X.

RECOVER YOUR PAST IN ATELIER KARIA: THE NIGHT KINGDOM & THE GUIDE OF MEMORIES, RELEASING 25TH FEBRUARY 2027

Fans can discover new gameplay details about the adventure that awaits them!

Hertfordshire, 8th September 2026 – Today, KOEI TECMO Europe and developer Gust have unveiled more information about the latest title in the acclaimed Atelier series, Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories. Fans will make their return to the continent of Aladiss alongside Karia, armed with an arsenal of unique abilities as well as improved battles, exploration, and renewed synthesis. A new trailer has also been unveiled, giving insight into the adventures to come. Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories is currently in development and is scheduled to release on 25th February 2027 on Nintendo Switch™ 2, PlayStation®5, Windows PC via Steam® and XBOX Series X|S.

Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories will introduce players to amnesiac alchemist Karia and her companions Servio Lektor, Fina Rozen, and fellow alchemist Yumia Liessfeldt. Players will also encounter additional allies along the way including Noelk Schreiber, an aloof inspector from the Eustellan Bureau of Alchemical Relic Control, and Celes, a woman who appears calm and collected but has a peculiar side of her personality. Together, they endeavour to explore Aladiss’ mysterious underworld and uncover its secret.

Players will be able to utilise style changes which will enable Karia to awaken new powers while altering both Karia’s appearance and her fighting style, allowing players to adapt to the combat encounter they are facing. Over eight styles, including Ignis and Mermaid, will be accessible and can be unlocked throughout Karia’s journey by making progress with the main story, as well as eating meals. Ignis Style allows Karia to channel the element of fire, boosting her attack and imbuing skills with fire damage at the cost of lowering her defence and increasing her vulnerability to ice attacks. Comparatively, Mermaid Style allows Karia to use ice magic, increasing magic damage, but reducing Karia’s physical attack, making her weak to fire attacks. Once a style is unlocked, players will be able to employ them in battle by eating particular items, or during exploration, like breaking obstacles while dashing, and walking on water.

Exploration is further expanded through Interactive Field Actions, enabling players to utilise items to interact with the environment, opening up new ways to explore the world. Karia can throw items to gather ingredients and destroy obstacles from a distance, as well as delivering damage to enemies. In addition, obstacles can be overcome by utilising certain items in specific spots to activate gimmicks which respond differently depending on the element used; players can employ the items Flamme, Lehrune, Plajig, and Luft (fire, ice, electric, and air elements respectively) to activate gimmicks and manoeuvre through obstacles in unique ways. Using elemental items on certain gathering spots will also modify the ingredients that are collected due to Elemental Alteration, giving players freedom to experiment and make new discoveries.

Fans can enjoy the challenge of battles against colossal enemies in Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories, coordinating between a frontline and assault team phases to seize victory. During these colossal encounters, players will organise and switch between their teams, taking the enemies on directly during the Frontline Team Phase, and supporting by using structures around the map during the Assault Team Phase. By completing the objectives assigned to the frontline and assault teams, players can deplete the enemy’s morale gauge and gain the upper hand in battle. Objectives will be divided into primary and secondary objectives, with secondary objectives granting players aid from surrounding support structures, such as shelters, sonic cannons, and item launchers, as well as reducing enemy morale. Ignoring secondary objectives will benefit the enemy, therefore players must strategise and prioritise objectives carefully in order to defeat colossal enemies.

Alchemy and synthesis will remain a key component in this title, and fans will enjoy a renovated synthesis system combining strategy and creativity when using the alchemy cauldron found in the depths of Aladiss. When synthesising, players will be able to connect the mana pieces of the ingredients in a recipe map while creating the patterns set by the recipe’s ingredients to unlock certain effects, which will change depending on the ingredients chosen and the way they are connected. Each ingredient can have several different piece shapes with effects, enabling players to work out which combination is the most effective. Likewise, there are multiple ways to connect ingredient pieces, which will alter the result of a recipe, or even change the item entirely if certain conditions are met.

Fans can prepare to embark on a journey to rediscover Karia’s lost past by pre-ordering the standard edition. Everyone who purchases the game by 10th March 2027 will receive the early purchase bonus “Noctrem Pioneering Preparation Set”, which is comprised of a special costume for Karia as well as the exclusive “Training Badge equipment”*.

Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories is currently in development and is scheduled for release on 25th February 2027 for Nintendo Switch™ 2, PlayStation®5, Windows PC via Steam® and XBOX Series X|S. The game will include Japanese voices with English, French, German and Spanish texts.

FARMING SIMULATOR 25: FREE PUMPS N’ HOSES PACK NOW AVAILABLE

  • Pack introduces umbilical systems, manure separation, and configurable biogas plants
  • More than 40 new items expand manure handling, storage, and energy production
  • Features specialist brands Schouten, Stallkamp, BvL, and 2G Energy

Free fan service for the game’s five million players that were recently reported: Publisher GIANTS Software releases the Pumps N’ Hoses Pack for Farming Simulator 25 free of charge. Developed by Creative Mesh, the pack expands agricultural operations with three distinct gameplay systems centered around efficient manure management and renewable energy production.

Three New Systems for More Efficient Farming

Pumps N’ Hoses introduces umbilical systems, manure separation, and configurable biogas plants to Farming Simulator 25. Together, these systems extend the infrastructure surrounding manure distribution, resource storage, and energy production with additional options for managing agricultural resources.

With umbilical systems, hoses can be attached and combined across the farm to supply ultra-light drag hose injectors in the field. This allows liquid manure to be distributed without relying on conventional slurry tankers during application.

Manure separation adds another step to resource management. Liquid and solid components can be separated to provide additional flexibility when storing and applying manure, allowing agricultural operations to make more efficient use of the available material.

Configurable Biogas Plants

The pack also expands biogas production by allowing plants to be configured according to individual operational requirements. Different components can be combined to establish a high-performing biogas facility tailored to the respective farm and its infrastructure.

More Than 40 New Items & Four Specialized Brands

New items from Dutch manufacturer Schouten, German steel storage specialist Stallkamp, biogas feeding technology manufacturer BvL and 2G Energy provide equipment and infrastructure for manure management, and biogas operations. Overall, more than 40 new machines, tools, buildings, and other items complement the new gameplay systems.

Farming Simulator 25 is available for PC, Mac, PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S. The Pumps N’ Hoses Pack is released today free of charge. A Year 2 Season Pass with more new content is available, too, with savings of up to 30% compared to purchasing the content separately. • Ghastly Interrogation: a command throw that only deals recoverable damage, but can deal normal damage if the opponent has already received recoverable damage
  • Indomitable defence: Arjun uses his yogic breathing to hyper oxygenate his muscles so he can turn any incoming melee strikes into counterattacks dealing recoverable damage
  • Moral Breakdown: While Indominable defence is engaged, Arjun throws both fists forward to deal recoverable damage on block or normal damage on hit
  • Howling Destruction: Arjun’s Level 1 Super Art mows down foes with quick bursts of his breathing technique
  • Instant Oblivion: Arjun’s Level 2 Super Art sends foes flying into the air and far away from him where he can set up a Divine Pillar

Arjun will be unlocked on October 13 for players who own or purchase the Year 4 Character Pass or Year 4 Ultimate Pass. Explore lush 3D landscapes inspired by the works of master painters such as Claude Monet, Vincent Van Gogh, Gustav Klimt, and more across a vivid journey that changes from 3D exploration to side-scrolling and even serene boat rides.

Step through the canvas into the amber alleys of Van Gogh’s Café Terrace at Night, theemerald meadows ofMonet’s Woman with a Parasol, the gilded passion of Klimt’s The Kiss, and more iconic works, each with its own viewpoint and playstyle. Immerse within these works, experience the emotions captured within, and piece together the memories they hold.

Enlist the help of two companions on this journey toward enlightenment: the wolf, a wild symbol of instinct and wildness, and an owl who symbolizes wisdom and reason. Uncover new depths to each painting with the wolf’s speed and the owl’s flight, slowly filling your empty heart with color, light, and beauty.

“One of the guiding principles for CaTHaRSiS was the ability to experience famous works in brilliant new ways,” said solo developer Mana. “Viewing them from within a reimagined interpretation of each scene, you’re able to immerse yourself in the atmosphere and memories embedded in each painting, which offers an experience you can’t get by simply walking through a gallery or museum.”

CaTHaRSiS ~The last of atelier~ will launch on PC via Steam in 2026 with language options in English and Japanese. Wishlist it today! For additional information, please visit Kodansha Game Creators’ Lab official website and follow Mana on X/Twitter for all of the latest updates.

Tend a Bountiful Garden in the Heart of the City in Cozy Indoor Farming Sim Tiny Eden

Transform a drab apartment into a lush greenhouse, reap a rich harvest

NICOSIA, Cyprus – 8 Sept. 2026 – Tiny Eden, the cozy indoor farming sim from developer Bajka Games and publisher Digital Vortex Entertainment, cultivates a futuristic urban garden today on PC via Steam!

Begin a new life in a bustling but desolate metropolis, one windowsill box and flower pot at a time. Starting with a sparse apartment, order new furniture, set up a workspace, and get busy gardening. Go from a single packet of seeds to a sunroom filled with a wide variety of fruit and vegetable plants, carefully tending to each one’s unique needs and growth cycle.

Seek new tools online, research plant care tips, and learn new recipes to make this indoor garden grow and thrive. Learn to make jams, sweets, and hearty meals using the harvest, and connect with other lonesome residents as this indoor garden takes root.

Don’t forget to slow down and enjoy the moment. After the morning’s watering, head up to the roof of the apartment building to relax with a nice cup of coffee, take in the view of the sprawling city, and maybe start planning for a bigger community garden on top of the high-rise!

“With Tiny Eden, I want to share my love of little meditative daily rituals so important to maintaining balance in life,” said Aliaksandr Piskun, CEO of Bajka Games. “This is a game about taking things slowly and living in the moment, but it’s also a serious simulation of raising and caring for plants – my dream is that players find it as rewarding as I have.”

Tiny Eden is now available for PC via Steam for $14.99, with a 10% launch discount and bundles available. The Extra Cozy Edition includes the Digital Botanical Companion e-book, two extra looks for the cat, five drone skins, 13 pot skins, and six new wall designs, and is available for $17.98.

The Digital Botanical Companion is a beautifully illustrated botanical atlas featuring all the plants you’ll encounter in Tiny Eden, complete with useful growing information, botanical details, and lots of extra flavor to make getting to know your garden even more rewarding.

Tiny Eden supports English, Simplified Chinese, French, German, Spanish – Spain, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese – Brazil, Russian, and Traditional Chinese language text. For updates and to share feedback, check out the official Discord server, and follow Tiny Eden on X/Twitter and TikTok, and join the official Discord to link up with the community.
