Discover the magic of Hela: New Deep Dive about charming-useful backpacks

Amsterdam, 27 February 2026 – Knights Peak and Windup Games are thrilled to release a new Deep Dive video for Hela, the heartwarming open-world adventure game set in a handcrafted world inspired by Scandinavian landscapes. The video offers an in-depth look at the enchanting world of Hela and its unique gameplay mechanics.

The Froggy Backpack is the heart of adventure in Hela, granting the tiny mouse extraordinary abilities to explore a world brimming with magic and wonder.

With the Frog Tongue, players can latch onto branches, beams, or ledges to swing, climb, or build momentum. It’s not just a tool for movement but a way to interact with the world, pulling objects closer, dragging them into place, or even forming bridges between players. When paired with forest creatures, the tongue becomes a lasso, harnessing their speed and strength for exhilarating rides.

By inflating the backpack, the mouse unfurls a paraglider, allowing for graceful descents and daring midair maneuvers. Mastering gliding, adjusting altitude, riding air currents, and executing precise turns unlocks the verticality of Hela’s world. On the ground, the inflated backpack transforms into a bouncy platform, perfect for reaching new heights alone or with friends.

A powerful plunge sends the mouse hurtling toward the ground with force, ideal for uncovering hidden paths, bouncing off trampolines, or simply creating a bit of joyful mayhem.

As a trusty companion, the backpack safely stores gathered items, ingredients, and tools, keeping them secure until they’re needed back at the witch’s cottage.

For solo players or smaller teams, the backpack’s magic allows the creation of Shades, echoing the player’s actions. Whether lassoing, bridging, or gliding, Shades ensure that the adventure is always a full team effort, even when playing alone.

Forest creatures may teach the player new abilities, helping them explore and open paths that were once out of reach, such as the double jump. The frog backpack serves as a constant companion, opening up playful and surprising ways to explore the world of Hela.

The Deep Dive video offers a comprehensive look at these features and more, providing fans with an exciting glimpse into the world of Hela.

In Hela, players take on the role of a small but agile mouse, helping a kind, wary witch care for the land she has protected for generations. Explore alone or together across various environments like forests, meadows, wetlands, and burrows. The witch provides the player with a backpack infused with magic, enabling them to explore further, reach higher, and interact with the world in new, and sometimes relaxing ways.

Hela, the recipient of two gamescom 2025 awards for “Most Entertaining” and “Most Wholesome“, is set to launch on Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation®5 and PC in 2026.

Medieval Fantasy Sandbox RPG Valorborn Sets Up Camp on PC on April 15

Create player-driven stories in a systemic and magically medieval world

ANKARA, Türkiye, Feb. 25, 2026 – Valorborn, the sandbox RPG from Laps Games, launches in Steam Early Access for PC via Steam on Wednesday, April 15, as revealed today at IGN Fan Fest.

Set in a living medieval fantasy world built around systemic simulation, Valorborn is a sandbox RPG where the world continues with or without the player. Villagers follow routines, factions compete for power, and dangers move across the land whether players intervene or not. Every building, cave, and point of interest is fully enterable, with no fake doors or decorative entrances.

Choose your own path and shape your own story. Become a thief and survive by picking locks, stealing valuables, and selling stolen goods. Become a hunter and live off the wilderness by tracking animals, gathering resources, and selling pelts for coin. Become a sellsword and travel the roads taking contracts to deal with the threats roaming forests, ruins, and frontier settlements. Survive alone or build a party, where every decision changes how the story unfolds.

The story of Valorborn begins after the fall of the Empire of Allarion, a once-great power that united races, factions, and guilds under one banner. In Allarion, magic powered everyday life, from simple chores to complex work, and for a time it created a near-utopian society. But constant use of magic began to corrupt body and mind, leading to a cataclysm that shattered the empire.

Early Access begins in Thareon, one of the major kingdoms that rose from Allarion’s collapse, and built on a strict doctrine: magic is bad. The kingdom hunts magic users and destroys anything tied to magic, creating a harsh world shaped by fear, control, and survival.

Death can wait behind every corner in Valorborn. Permadeath is a core part of the experience, but the game is designed to keep risk rewarding and the overall experience fun. Loss, adaptation, and experimentation are part of the journey, and setbacks become part of each player’s story rather than a dead end.

The full version will expand the world with additional kingdoms, more starting options, and more ways for adventurers to define their own story. At full release, it will be possible to choose your race, starting position, one of many background stories, or begin with a blank origin.

Valorborn is an ambitious project for us, and it was made possible by the support we received for Land of the Vikings,” said Onurhan Akçay, founder of Laps Games. “That support gave us the foundation to build something bigger and more systemic. With Valorborn, we wanted to create a world where players can truly choose their own path and write their own stories. A lot of our inspiration comes from games like Mount & Blade, Wartales, and Kenshi, and from worlds like Game of Thrones and The Lord of the Rings. Those inspirations helped shape the kind of experience we wanted to make, a dangerous, reactive medieval fantasy world full of freedom, tension, and possibility.”

Valorborn launches in Steam Early Access for PC via Steam on Wednesday, April 15. Laps Games will continue expanding the game throughout Early Access with player feedback, new content, and ongoing system improvements. For more information on Valorborn, follow Laps Games on X, Instagram, and YouTube, and join the official Discord community.

Kwalee And Maeth Reveal SPRAWL Zero, A Brutal Cyberpunk Themed FPS Coming To PC And Consoles

Leamington Spa, UK – February 26, 2026 – UK publisher Kwalee and independent studio Maeth have announced SPRAWL Zero, a fast-paced cyberpunk shooter and prequel to the 2023 title SPRAWL. Inspired by classic 2000s console FPS games, SPRAWL Zero is coming to PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

In SPRAWL Zero, players take on the role of FIVE, a cybernetically enhanced supersoldier. As the city plunges into chaos, they must take down a radical techno-religious group. Players can choose multiple paths and alternate approaches, wielding a massive arsenal of weapons and FIVE’s cybernetics as tools of destruction.

“SPRAWL zero is the culmination of everything I love about video games and a love letter to Y2K culture. I grew up playing incredible, genre defining shooters in the early 2000s, like Half-Life 2, Halo, and F.E.A.R. Giants defined by immersive settings and gameplay that captured my imagination. That specific era of gaming feels lost to time, and I want everyone who plays SPRAWL zero to experience that same sense of wonder I felt back then,” says Carlos Lizarraga, Studio Head at Maeth.

Alongside the announcement, Kwalee and Maeth have released a brand-new trailer packed with fast, kinetic combat. It offers a first look at the game’s world, the factions vying for power, and the destructive tools at FIVE’s disposal.

About SPRAWL Zero

A Y2K FPS Built on Classic Console DNA

SPRAWL Zero is a first-person shooter inspired by 2000s console FPS games. Both the aesthetics and design sensibility call back to the Golden Age where the genre evolved from shooting in corridors to building worlds.

A City on the Brink

You play as FIVE, a cybernetically enhanced supersoldier controlled by the Junta. Your directive is to eliminate SILAS, leader of the radical techno-religious group IMAGO-DEI. The city will plunge into chaos as all factions known and unknown grasp for the reins. Reconcile your truths or succumb to the SPRAWL.

Fight Smart, Not Just Fast

Combat in SPRAWL Zero is fast-paced but grounded. Enemy squads will communicate and coordinate to wrestle the advantage. Flanks, covering fire, and grenades will flush you out, creating dynamic firefights inspired by classics like F.E.A.R. and Halo.

In your hands, FIVE must outsmart and outmaneuver the opposition using any advantage possible. Catch their bullets and throw them right back with the Gravity Shield, or bend your shots midair with Bullet-Time for inhuman precision. A massive arsenal of weapons and FIVE’s cybernetics are your tools of destruction.

Gravity-Based Combat Systems

Gravity Gloves, Gravity Shield, and Rushdown expand combat beyond gunplay, enabling aggressive pushes, defensive play, and physics-driven encounters. No problem has just one solution.

Designed for Player Choice

Handcrafted levels feature multiple paths, verticality, and alternate approaches, rewarding experimentation and replayability. Push aggressively, play tactically from cover, or dominate encounters through physics-based combat. Player agency was a fundamental pillar of Y2K design and SPRAWL Zero accommodates players to find their own niche.

Key Features

  • Truly dynamic FPS combat inspired by classic console shooters
  • Smart, coordinated enemy AI that flanks, communicates, and adapts
  • Physics interactions with gravity-based combat systems that expand play beyond gunfire
  • Player expression to find your own path to victory

  • Gravity Shield to catch and return enemy gunfire
  • Rushdown enemies with invulnerability and destructive force
  • Wide arsenal of over 40 weapons with distinct roles and mastery paths
