Inside the Maps and Modes Shaping HEAT’s Combat

World of Tanks: HEAT drops third “Foundations” Video: Points of Contact

March 27, 2026 — World of Tanks: HEAThas released the latest entry in its Foundations video series, offering a closer look at the upcoming game’s maps and modes. This new chapter explores how each battlefield and game type is crafted to deliver intense, dynamic combat where every match feels thrilling and unpredictable.

Based on real-world locations, the maps in World of Tanks: HEAT span a wide range of biomes, settings, and visual styles. While every battlefield offers a distinct look and feel, they’re also designed to support multiple playstyles that will work seamlessly across all four game modes.

With four head-to-head combat modes available, players can adapt their strategy from match to match.  All modes support respawns, rewarding aggressive play and experimentation. These include:

Conquest (10v10)

  • More than any other game mode, Conquest rewards map awareness.
  • Capture bases to rack up victory points and hold multiple bases to build your lead.
  • Keep an eye on dynamic events like bombing runs and elimination challenges, which can swing momentum in either direction.

Hardpoint (5v5)

  • Control points known as “Hardpoints” spring up across the map, creating a constant patchwork of skirmishes.
  • As with Conquest, base control is key—but since the control points keep changing locations, you’ll need to adapt fast.
  • When you capture a Hardpoint, think defense first.

Control (5v5)

  • This intensely competitive mode requires strategic thinking and cooperation.
  • Fight for a single “Control Zone” and reach 100% to win.
  • If an enemy remains in the circle, progress remains at 99% and will eventually trigger Overtime, giving the losing team a chance to win it back
  • Use your abilities wisely; your decision can turn the fight either way.

Kill Confirmed (5v5)

  • Close, intense, and aggressive, Kill Confirmed rewards those who can think on their feet.
  • Killing an opponent is only half the job; collect their token to score the point.
  • You can grab your teammate’s dropped tokens to deny points to the enemy team, but keep in mind the enemy can do the same.
  • On top of that, power-ups will drop across the map— grab them before the other team does.

The World of Tanks: HEATteam will continue to keep fine-tuning existing modes and introducing new ones as the game evolves.

Stay tuned for more insights and news about the game over the coming weeks.

Play as the all-new Vault Hunter, C4SH, and explore the blood-soaked mysteries of the Whispering Glacier in this expansive paid DLC

Today, 2K and Gearbox Software are proud to release Borderlands 4’s Story Pack 1: Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned, featuring the all-new Vault Hunter, C4SH; a new zone packed with missions, activities, and collectibles; new exhilarating boss fights; heaps of loot; and much more.*

Alongside the release of Story Pack 1, today’s March 26 Major Update for all players is a huge milestone for Borderlands 4, marking version 1.5 of the game. Two major inclusions are the introduction of a highly-requested quality-of-life feature, Shared Character Progression, as well as a Vault Hunter level cap increase from 50 to 60 for all players which will shake up player builds. Now, when you roll a new Vault Hunter (including C4SH the Rogue), that fresh character will have access to map progression, collectibles, SDU tokens, Hover Drives, cosmetic rewards, and activity progression unlocked by all the other characters combined on your save file.

Earlier today, during the Gearbox Main Theater Show at PAX East, 2K and Gearbox Software delved into Story Pack 1, with insights from the Borderlands 4 team about the making of C4SH and the Whispering Glacier zone. Be sure to check out the full panel recording for additional details on the development of Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned.

Uncover the Mysteries of The Whispering Glacier
As a malicious cosmic entity threatens Kairos, and madness lingers on the frigid wind, players will join forces with the plucky, take-no-mess Ellie — mechanic extraordinaire and daughter of Moxxi — on a quest to destroy an alien monolith and enter the accursed Vault of the Damned. Guided by the returning peculiar proprietor Mancubus Bloodtooth, players will brave the icy wastes of The Whispering Glacier, a frozen expanse littered with the husks of derelict ships and dark secrets. More information on the gruesome horrors that await players can be found in the Story Pack 1 release date announcement.

By owning Story Pack 1, players can create a new Vault Hunter that skips directly to the Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned content at level 13, with Shared Character Progression applied.

Play as the New Vault Hunter: C4SH the Rogue
Players can set off across the icy wastes as the first of two new Vault Hunters coming to Borderlands 4, C4SH the Rogue, a CasinoBot with a new lease on life. After winning a high-stakes card game, he gained a magical deck that imbues him with eldritch boons.

Read all about C4SH the Rogue’s unique Traits and Action Skills in the written Character Spotlight, and take a seat for his retelling of the high-stakes card game that set him down an unforeseen path in C4SH’s Official Character Short “High Roller.” C4SH is playable across all of Borderlands 4’s base game and DLC zones.*

Conquer Deadly Threats and Earn Tantalising Loot
Story Pack 1 introduces a host of new challenges across The Whispering Glacier, including two major boss fights and 16 minibosses. To reach them, players will need to carve their path through plenty of tough enemies like the grizzled soldiers of the DAHL Legion, who abandoned their posts on Elpis to wreak havoc on Kairos, and fierce Kraggons and Scavs.

Players can look forward to plenty of suitable rewards for their troubles. Story Pack 1 features a total of 31 new cosmetic items, three new Pearlescent weapons, and 18 new pieces of Legendary gear, allowing for the creation of even more novel and powerful Vault Hunter Builds.

PC Performance Status Update
Be sure to check out the Borderlands 4 PC Performance Status Update DevCast shared earlier this week, detailing ongoing work by the Optimisation Team to improve average frame rates and stability for PC players across a variety of specs. In the special Gearbox DevCast bonus episode, hosts Andrew Reiner and April Johnson talk with Managing Producer Eli Luna about the work that’s gone into optimisation improvements across Borderlands 4.

…and much more to come!
In addition to Story Pack 1, players can look forward to lots of free and paid content on the 2026 Roadmap coming to Borderlands 4 in the coming months, including new endgame content.

Borderlands 4 is available worldwide for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. For the latest information on Borderlands 4, visit www.borderlands.com.

*Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned is the first of two post-launch DLC Story Packs coming to Borderlands 4. This content is included with Borderlands 4 Super Deluxe Edition and the Borderlands 4 Vault Hunter Pack, and is also available for separate purchase. Base game required.

Devolver Digital reveal Serious Sam: Shatterverse, Launching in 2026

Sams from across the multiverse join forces this year in Serious Sam: Shatterverse, a multiplayer roguelite by Dead By Daylight creator Behaviour Interactive

Dimension-hopping developer Behaviour Interactive (Dead By Daylight) and rocket-jumping publisher Devolver Digital have joined forces to unleash Serious Sam: Shatterverse. This multiversal multiplayer FPS is based on the adventures of boomer shooter legend Sam ‘Serious’ Stone – whose over-the-top run-and-gun classic, Serious Sam: The First Encounter, celebrates its 25th birthday this year – but with an oh-so-modern roguelite twist.

Serious Sam: Shatterverse is a co-op FPS where five players can team up, blast through shifting universes, stack wild boons, bend the rules with run modifiers, and hunt the deadliest forces of Sam’s relentless arch-nemesis, the villainous Mental.

Mental’s maniacal machinations have fractured the walls between universes, and now Sams from multiple dimensions must learn to work together to repair the Shatterverse. You’ll travel across shifting universes to finish battles other Sams couldn’t, fighting alongside alternate versions of yourself to defeat the big bad’s five nefarious lieutenants.

While this game is developed by Behaviour Interactive, newcomers to the Serious Sam universe, the developer has the full blessing of series creators Croteam:

“Seeing Shatterverse come to life is a really big moment for us,” says Croteam’s Davor Hunski, co-creator of Serious Sam. “It’s very exciting to see another talented team step in and create something bold, fresh, and different within the universe we cherished for so long. I can’t wait for both the old and new fans to experience this new interpretation of the series!”

“Our main goal was to respect Serious Sam’s rich legacy while presenting it in a fresh, contemporary way unlike anything seen before in the series,” says Behaviour Interactive’s Nic Duchesne. “Working with Devolver has been an incredible, enriching experience for our team. The folks there are real renegades of the video game publishing world: they always put the game first and aren’t afraid to carve their own path.”

FEATURES

  • Wield a big, loud, stupid, and frankly irresponsible arsenal of weapons, mixing classic Serious Sam guns and all-new toys plucked from the Shatterverse
  • High adrenaline run-and-gun FPS combat with big battlefields, non-stop pressure, a lot of backpedaling, and perfectly timed one-liners when everything’s on fire
  • Leans into Serious Sam’s legacy and pushes it forward with procedurally shifted runs across hand-crafted arenas set in previously unexplored worlds
  • Navigate unstable anomalies, hidden portals, and high-risk opportunities that can supercharge a run – or end it instantly
  • Push forward for greater rewards, unlock powerful modifiers, and take advantage of upgrades that permanently expand your possibilities
  • Face off against massive hordes of enemies including classic Serious Sam foes and fresh monsters under Mental’s control, all begging to be gibbed

All this and more awaits you in Serious Sam: Shatterverse, launching on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S this year.

Check out serioussam.com for more information. See you in the Shatterverse.

LIFE IS STRANGE: REUNIONIS NOW AVAILABLE ON PC, PLAYSTATION 5 AND XBOX SERIES X | S

Experience the Emotional Conclusion of Max and Chloe’s Saga

SYDNEY (March 27, 2026) – Today, SQUARE ENIX® launched LIFE IS STRANGE: REUNION, the latest entry in the critically acclaimed narrative adventure franchise LIFE IS STRANGE. The game is now available for PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X | S and PC via Steam® and Microsoft Store on Windows.

Developed by Deck Nine Games, LIFE IS STRANGE: REUNION is the emotional conclusion to Max Caulfield and Chloe Price’s time-traveling saga. After 11 years, Max and Chloe reunite to solve another timeline-spanning mystery, this time to stop a raging inferno from destroying Max’s beloved Caledon University. For the first time, players will step into the shoes of both heroines during the same game and use each character’s unique abilities to solve puzzles, collect information and save as any people as they can.

In LIFE IS STRANGE: REUNION, players will once again visit Caledon University, where Max Caulfield works as a photography teacher. Returning from a weekend away, Max finds her beloved Caledon ablaze, as a raging inferno destroys the hallowed grounds and ends the lives of Max’s friends, students and faculty alike. Max only escapes the devastation due to her Rewind power – returning from the original LIFE IS STRANGE – a supernatural ability that lets her reverse time.

That’s when Chloe Price arrives at Caledon, much to Max’s surprise: a shocking repercussion of Max’s merging of the timelines at the end of LIFE IS STRANGE: DOUBLE EXPOSURE. Haunted by nightmares of a past she never lived, and with her grip on reality unravelling, Chloe needs Max’s help.

Players will use Max’s Rewind power to undo and redo decisions, change the course of conversations and manipulate the environment to solve four-dimensional puzzles, and use Chloe’s Backtalk ability, quick wits, and take-no-prisoners attitude to sway key suspects – and go where Max can’t.

This game builds on all the character-led, grounded storytelling for which the LIFE IS STRANGE series is known, with meaningful choices that affect the outcome of a dramatic and surprising narrative – all culminating in an epic climax that serves as a finale to the Max and Chloe saga.

LIFE IS STRANGE: REUNION is now available on Xbox Series X | S consoles, PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and Windows Store.

Step into a fresh expedition across the Zone — a massive nonlinear expansion packed with dozens of hours of gameplay. Expect haunting stories, twisted characters, and that same heavy atmosphere of decay… with just a flicker of hope breaking through.

It’s time to step into a new chapter of a well-known conflict. Duty, one of the oldest factions, sees the Zone as a threat that must be contained and destroyed. On the other side, Freedom believes it’s a gift — something to explore and harness for the greater good. For a time, this tension was held together by a fragile peace. But deals like that rarely last.

In Cost of Hope, players once again take on the role of Skif, the protagonist of the core game, as he navigates events unfolding alongside Heart of Chornobyl. After installing the DLC, a signal on the PDA will trigger the new storyline as the game unfolds. As always, your choices shape what happens next — and the consequences could affect not just the Zone, but far beyond it.

Cost of Hope introduces two new regions to explore. Navigate the iconic Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant, once abandoned and locked away for decades, now calling stalkers back in. Traverse the Iron Forest’s maze-like paths and uncover uncharted locations along the way. Each region features its own hub, quests, and activities. New weapons and gear give Skif a fighting chance against mutants, anomalies, and other dangers that are lurking.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 expansions will be released in installments, with Cost of Hope serving as the middle chapter of the “second trilogy.” Together with a future story DLC — details of which will be revealed later — it will form a new, expansive narrative arc within the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. saga. More information on the Summer 2026 release will be shared soon.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 and Cost of Hope are being developed amid Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, which is ongoing. GSC Game World continues to support its homeland in every possible way.
